Crumbs To Brix: Archiweedies' Organic, 4x8

Hmm I wonder if thats the same type of mat that Duggan picked up recently. I've been running just the HPS in the tent thus far and it has definitely been warm enough in there without a heater. The garage is getting cold enough now that the tent is dipping sub 20C briefly until it warms up outside a little. I have a feeling my temps will be too low without the HPS.
Worst case, I put the heater back in.

No, his is more of a boot warmer, doesn't go under a rug and is considerably smaller and less expensive. Mine is made for under rugs, that is what I bought it for then had an ah ha moment when my temps were too low. It's 5x7 and keeps the pots nice and comfy, ha! I think it's how I got through this past round of flower girls living in the very cold garage, it may have been cold in the tent but the pots/roots were nice and warm.

Okay, well Im re-reading your sponsored grow from the beginning, just finished Magoo's journal so I can now focus on you brother. Hopefully, I'll run across that in your journal.

My heat mat is designed for outdoors at your doorstep to melt snow around the step and door. I love it...and so do my plants....it takes all the chill out of the cold concrete and helps to warm up the space. It is very heavy duty ...as it was made to be stepped on all the time with big heavy winter boots so.....good stuff. Also comes with a built in gfci into the power cord....which also has a piggy back plug for joining more to it. Mine draws 180 w from the wall and is made in the US.

Damn metric 'mericans. Go back to Canadia or wherever they speak that Celsius crap :).

Under 68º at night isn't so terrible, is it?
I always have to reference a chart if I want to convert... IDK why the US wants to use "standard' metrics... not so standard really. But it is what I was taught... and its hard to change some things.

Really hard to change things. They tried in the 70s and we were all WTF? That attempt didn't last long. I'd love to get the UK to stop driving on the wrong left side of the road so I don't get confused making right turns into the wrong lanes, but I have a feeling they're not interested.
We had a couple close calls in Jamaica crossing the main road because of the driving on the wrong side of the road. You tend to look the wrong way 1st and start to cross right in front of oncoming cars coming from the wrong way

Yikes!

I'm sure Duggan will chime in but you did not offend him! This is just one of the things he says a lot, he doesn't dunk and he's turned out a couple pretty decent plants, ha! Doc reccomends dunking and many do that including myself BUT am thinking about NOT dunking next round. There are many ways to skin a cat, poor kitty!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:A few plants?....Haha! ....

I know huh? How do you like dunking Lady G?
I think the dunking is fun. I just like making a mess I think. lol. I would like to try Dugg's way though, now that I know what the soil should feel like. I wanted to get a couple of grows in before I deviated at all.

Yea right on LadyG. I'll say there is something very intuitive for me when dunking. It is fun you're right!
Anyways, Ill dunk em' this go around. I look forward to practicing my skills watering from the top in flower.:Namaste:

Update Day 13

They got a proper dunking today, just RO water. I have a heater in the growbox they are in and temps are mid 70's to 80's. There you go Shed ;)

Received the Perfect Sun Max Yield in the mail yesterday. Canopy temps are right around 72F at their lowest and swing up to 80F at the hottest. This is in my 4x8 with a 600wHPS and 3 autocobs. Point is, the new light might be too cold. Ill see about hanging the light in the 4 x 8 and measure temps to see what the differential will be between the 600wHPS and the 630w LED.
Edit: I suppose we didn't need the pics again ;)

Hey Archie! Were those pots, bone dry? Did it feel like they were filled with feathers when you lifted? i soak my 1's when I plant the seeds and they do,not, need a dunk for about 30 days. I just want to make sure you're doing the wet dry cycle correctly, it's very important for great roots.

:passitleft:

Word brother, what ween said. Takes a bit getting used to the wet/dry cycle but usually my soil will get so dry you can see a gap between the soil and pot and the plants still won't droop from lack of water! Not saying you should use that technique just saying there is a lot of water hidden in the soil.
