Crumbs To Brix: Archiweedies' Organic, 4x8

Everybody looks really happy in there! That DP is got its stretch on and I'd call it week 3 at this point :). Is BC2.1 untopped?

Next time you take pics you should probably bleach out the blood stains. Hopefully I'm the only one who noticed this time.:thumb:
Yessir she’s done stretching! I’d guess week 3 too.
Yeah BC 2.1 is au naturale. That’s gonna be interesting

She was cut from BC2. I think she would look good topped, but I had some weird desire to see her in natural Xmas tree shape.
I’m not certain how cuttings can differ with regards to internodal spacing and such. My Bedroom Cookies 2 (the mother) has at most 7bladed fans and they are kinda small and like the size of a young persons hands. The cutting, BC2.1, seems to be growing way different than her mom. She has nine fans on her leaves and they are indica huge! She’s in 10 gallons while her mom is in three gallons. Mom was ‘kept small’ in a one gallon for a good while BC2.1 never even got root bound from her one gallon container prior to nestling into her 10 gallon pot. The size, shape, smell, potency, trichome production, etc. will all be able to be compared.
I’m not trying to compare DBHBB (BC2.1) against FFOF/ Mother Earth soil (BC2). I know this is a Brix journal but I don’t want to alienate anyone whose not been “assimilated.” My gut tells me this has more to do with container size than the quality of the soil but I’d welcome the chance to learn me something.

Looking good archi! Excited to see BC flower out!
Hey Dutch thanks for popping in bro! I’m quite interested as well to see how they will fare. This will be my first photoperiod grow since my first grow. These plants are larger than I’m used to with autos, that’s for sure. Though my HubbaBubbaSmelloScope strain got pretty tall for an autoflower but they weren’t trained at all. Got almost 4 foot tall.

Not too shabby from an autoflower eh? Three plants, 3-4 zips each. Still smoking on it and I gifted a lot, made bubble hash, edibles... Sick of bubblegum weed I’ll tell ya that lol

 For you Archi

...thanks for inspiring it. It was a good post to include in my journal :thumb:

hey Arch, I was wondering if maybe you didn't see that I put a link there for you - to a post about the DB High Brix amended soil I'm now growing in outside (including the results of my pre-amendment soil test ;)). i didn't make the link super obvious... here it is again

Amy's DBHBB outdoor amended soil

:Namaste:

@Amy Gardner oh thanks AG! I completely missed it you were correct! Oh..you’re good!:adore: Reading minds and shit :rofl:
Okay yeah I’m at a crossroads with regards to what I’d like to do for my next grow. I’ll get spun up and see if it pushes me to do Docs soil outdoors.
I’ve been drawn to growing outdoors since I started and usually grow a plant outside every year.
I think choosing what to grow is the hardest part. Sadly this soil would be relegated to outdoor growing only to prevent the introduction of pests indoors. I have enough soil and recharge for one plant in DBHBB and I have to try and pick something that does well in heat. It can get quite hot here.

Thanks for stopping by AG!:yahoo:

:high-five:
pick something that does well in heat
SO anything with a strong afghani component will handle the heat (but watch out for rot if your autumn is cool and humid). The Critical Mass I'm growing right now is loving the hot days! I've also just been looking at and reading about Power Plant, an African Landrace with a short finishing time (8weeks) that I'm thinking might be good outside here too, and it should handle the heat - being African (unless being reproduced in Holland has changed that - I really don't know tho).

go well archi! :passitleft:

Funny you mention the African landrace strain, Power Plant. Duggan and I were just discussing Durban Poisons genetics and how it has been tainted over time.
I have a Critical Haze that might be cool to grow outdoors... I also still have The Green Doctor from the same breeder you and Shed got Candida from I think. Medical Marijuana Genetics.

Side note: that’s the first time in a long while I think I’ve typed the word ‘marijuana.’ Something about using that word feels wrong to me it feels like it has negative energy around it.
Sorry I’m rambling haha :bongrip:.

My summers are hot but dry, very little rain to worry about. Hot at night, cool overnight. I’ve grown Super Lemon Haze outdoors and it did great outdoors. I did take some cuts of this Durban in my tent right now but they were taken after flower had started. It is developing purple buds and is clearly sativa leaning. I would love to let that plant loose in 50 gallons of docs soil :passitleft:

marijuana
Well, the word was used very strategically during the onset of prohibition, to separate it in people minds from what they knew as medicine - ie cannabis. Apparently many doctors who ‘signed off’ on prohibition of “marijuana” or “marihuana“, didn’t realise at the time it was cannabis they were approving the prohibition of. The choice of word was tied up with the racist underpinnings of the motivation for prohibition - a way to further criminalise certain immigrants. So it’s not surprising the word feels a little tainted.

But hey - reclamation!

Power Plant. Duggan and I were just discussing Durban Poisons genetics and how it has been tainted over time.
Maybe that was part of what led me to it. It was one of those strains that just kept popping up in front of me so I thought I’d check it out - and discovered the short flowering period. I’m gonna have to try it!

Thanks @Amy Gardner I enjoyed the information regarding the word and it makes sense why I intuitively refrain from using the word. I use the term cannabis like 95% of the time. When I speak to my physician or therapist, yeah I’m kinda fucked up okay , I feel like they respond better to the term cannabis.

Anyways, I looove yo garden miss thang!:ganjamon:
I think I have a garden crush lol. I’m wish I could chill on your patio with you and yours and just watch your plants grow all day. Ahhhh

:thumb: It's on my summer plant seed list. That and a Stank Genetics DTF (Durban Thunder Fuck).
Yeah man that sounds killer! DTF and SLH would be a wonderful pair to run I think. I need to hit sir Stank up one of these days.
You got your beans for DTF and SLH yet Shed?

I do indeed. About a year ago on the DTF, and the SLH was a cheese-strain trade with BTz.
Oh yeah BTz did have some beans for you then. @BTzGrow how are you bud? I was just getting warmed up to his journal when he closed it.
I’m gonna look around for a comparison grow or something fun to get into with this grow. That blueberry comparison thread is solid gold!

Crushes are often an expression of our aspirations, I feel - so garden aspirations makes perfect sense ;):D:high-five:

chill on your patio with you and yours and just watch your plants grow all day. Ahhhh
And I would so love it if you did - there’s a lot of that that goes on here and i don’t always have company, apart from the herb, the plants themselves and the critters...

I’m hitting the patio now with a freshly packed vape bowl in hand:volcano-smiley:

...and someone left this here earlier, for you :passitleft:

Greetings! Hey so I have something I want to share here.
This photo comes from my lifelong best friend since we were in junior high. He lives in prohibition so I asked if I could share it with y’all.

The strain is Platinum OG and it is said that the trichome production is why it’s called Platinum!
Right, so this is his first grow and he doubted whether he could grow anything at all as his wife has the green thumb. He couldn’t have been more wrong to my mind.
This beautiful specimen was grown from bagseed. He planted two and one went male on him. Grown under a total of 120watts of COB led.

I’m so happy he took the leap of faith to grow his own meds for him and his wife. He researched a lot while growing and is nearly ready to reap the rewards! Cheers
