Crop King's White Widow - Coco Coir - LED

Plants are looking good...is the white widow just not as big a strain maybe? Do you have notes for end of week 3 of ur sour diesel grow?
No notes on size. Just dates like when seeds pop and move them to flower. Also notes on what I feed and ph. Memory on how they looked. O and the tarps will come down and be put away.lol. Just need some time and I believe I will get some next Wednesday. My fiance and son will be going out to dinner with a friend so I'll have a couple hours to work in the room.

I'll have some pics up in my journal of my crop king seed white cookies been away so hard time to maintain but wife says they are doing okay she thinks .
Nice. I've been peaking in at your journal(s). Lot of pages to catch up on. That sounds how my fiance would talk.

I love that, you sounded so confident until your memory came up "0", that was priceless, lmao. Hey I smoked sour kush last night for the first time, man did it ever leave a lingering sour jube jube taste in my mouth, is that kinda the same as the diesel?

I found a site that puts together where strains come from. What I remember (lol) sour and diesel are two separate strains. So I would imagine if the sour in that sour kush is the same then yeah I would say it's like the sour d. The kush was stronger when it came to taste so saved you on the sour taste part. Mine has a earthy with a slight diesel taste.

I need a loupe, do you have one? Where'd you get urs? I heard Walmart sells them lol.

Rereading your post made me think. The sour d is describe with a citrus smell and taste. I wonder if the batch you smoked had that super citrus gene. Haha. The diesel in my sour d helps cut that down? Or some where in the breeding it lost that sour taste. I wish I could send you some.

Tonight is my first night feeding veg every night. Just for the two. The real reason for the post tonight, I topped all four. Here are some pics.

For sure. Glad to hear you say they look the same. My sour d from them gave me two different pheno. Both had there good qualities but then just the other night I noticed a third pheno. This one seems to be a nice balance of the other two. So I am thinking this is what ck was going for.

End of week 3 and they have been topped, starting tomorrow I will up the nutes to 7ml per gallon. Today was very exciting, my white cookie seeds came in the mail today. They are soaking in a cup right now and will be planted in the two empty pots. In this pic I show WW seedlings and veg. Two empty pots for the white cookies seeds and my sour d clones. I have one more 300w led I am going to move to my veg side.

I have a little extra time, seems the family is sleeping in a little longer today. I figured I would take this time to do a little side segment on how I prepare my coco. I buy the bricks.

Disclaimer:
I am by no way a expert, but not so much a noob. I learned by making every mistake you possibly can. I have 1.5 years with soil (my learning experience) and Just coming on 2 years with coco. I have brought 42 plants from seed to harvest in coco prepared just like this. Only one deficiency so far and was easily corrected with a little bit of silica blast. I understand everyone is different in how they prepare the coco. This is how I do it. That being said I do love constructive comments. If you feel I am losing out on something because of the way I am doing it please let me know. Thanks.

Like most everyone, before I started with coco I did a lot of research. I liked how most everybody is on the same page when it comes to growing in it. Its great. You want to grow like soil go for it, you want hydro then this is it. I wont go into detail on the science of it, many others have already done that. I will answer any questions as to why I do it this way. Everyone out there says to rinse your coco a few times to get the salt out. My first time preparing coco I did not. I soaked it in water way to much water, hand broke it up. By hand would squeeze the water back into bin then put coco in the pot. I did not ph or add anything to the water. I used bagged seeds fed with same nutes I use now minus the blast. My deficiency didn't show up until I ordered seeds. I have been hooked on coco ever since. Here is how I do it.

I have two large totes. One with holes drilled for drainage. The one without holes I put regular bricks in, to keep the tote with holes in the air.

I then put the tote with holes onto the bricks in the other tote. I then use a t shirt for a "screen" to keep my coco in the one tote. Sometimes I order the small bricks of coco in bulk but this time I have one 5k brick.

Once again without adding anything I try and use just enough water for the brick to soak up and not have much extra. I let the brick soak for a few hours then ill break it up and add more water if needed. Very little if any needs to be added. Most of the time I will let sit over night and its ready to broke up.

Thanks for sticking around for this longer than usual post. I will answer any questions you may have. I do like to think I know a little bit about coco. If not from reading it, then by me seeing it first hand. Here are my sour ds A few days away from a few days of final flush.

Muchas Gracias, much appreciate the info
My next grow is definitely going to be in coco
I'm thinking of doing a diy irrigation system
Thanks. I'd like to see the irrigation. I have looked into them a few times. Just waiting for the right time to test it out on a plant or two.

One of the biggest reasons I did water into my grow room was to hook up my irrigation system. I used to do irrigation for a local landscape place and did tonnes of gardens/planters etc.....soooo easy to install.

Time.......OMG, to have more of it, lol. In the last few weeks of a 10 month home renovation. That's why sooooo much is on the back burner. I can't wait to hook up everything I want, lol.
