Critical Kush Guerrilla Garden

Good morning A, how are you mate? Any advice on when to FIM?

Have you tried topping instead of FIMing? From what I've read topping can be more successful although it causes the plant more stress to start with. I topped one of my plants, the other I've left alone so will see which one gives the bigger yield as I've done different techniques with each. Wait Until Plant Has at Least 3-5 Nodes (FIMing) or 4-6 Nodes (Topping)- Topping or Fimming a Too-Young Seedling Will Dramatically Slow Down Growth .

I'm good bro, how's it going your end?

Wait till 3rd 4th or 5th node somewhere around there. From the last pics u posted, ur still too early. Maybe another week

And I wouldn't worry about the little bit of stressing it might cause. They'll get over the stress super quick.

All good thank you mate, and thank you too Swag. Hope it's good in your hood :)

I've topped before and because of what I intend to do later on (my secret recipe) I can't work with the extra week or so topping seems to put on the plant.

I could see the third nodule coming through and thought that it would be a bit of a nightmare to FIM it. So thank you, will wait a week :)

Ahhh yeh that's the downside is topping will slow them down a bit. My one I didn't top is slightly more advanced than the one I did.

It's hard waiting, I'm not a patient person so totally get the not making it any longer than needed!

So many times I've wanted to throw some 60-day autos in a pot and get to harvest faster lol 3.5 months seems to take forever!

Haha thank you, I angled one at it this morning. It's been all good since :)

Got lights on in 2 hours. Should get some kip but want to see what's happened

When should I start FIMing? I've heard 3rd nodule and up and also after two weeks

Any advice? I've done it twice before and had varied success

3-4 4 th node so your cutting something that is mature enough . Usually that happens between day14-21 depending on how fast she is moving .
I'm about to study my forks tonight to see if I should top more or fim anything let the plants tell you what they want .. and m learning this.

Thank you mate, I've got the 'pinch' down, was more a matter of when to do it! I've only ever done it with cuttings before, they was stretching earlier on in the grow, I repotted them deeper about four days in so there not as sturdy as they should be. Will definitely wait a week (should be about day 17-18-somewhere in the middle of what you said) and see what them bubbas be saying :)

Good hope she recovers fast . If you tip at the right time and the plant genetics are strong if you top they can bounce back quickly . Usually a day or two if it goes good 3-5 if not the right time upwards to a week I've seen. Now that being said those were done on mostly autos .
Live and learn bro morning here btw.

I'm relying on the genetics, Barneys haven't let me down before. I've got good vibes about this garden, the Criticals suit my gardening practices.

But I know doing that will potentially cut yield (which I do anyway in favour of potency) so am approaching the FIMing with a hint of trepidation.

Barney said (not the seed packet, I actually know Barney, lovely bloke ;) that they're happier being lollipopped (what I'm more than happy to do, it's my usual M.O)

But have always got at least 3/4 of an ounce more off of FIMd plants

I'm going to leave one to lollipop. It will be the little shorty one. He had a hard time coming through, got caught on a bit of stringy peat and didn't think he was going to make it.

Any shorter plants I have come training time, I leave alone (except for heavy pruning and defoliation)

These tough little buggers are special. Although shorter and less productive regarding yield they end up becoming the one I keep for me percy stash. They be the dankiest of what are already dank gardens.

So, saying that, will FIM the other lot (need f****** yield quick time now. Nightmare morning!) and leave the other (rather selfishly might I add) to its own devices until it's time to prune. Just twitched at the size of the single cola it will hopefully throw up.

Here's the last one I left alone compared to FIMing the others

Kiwi Skunk. It's making my mouth water thinking about them. Got another six going in 4 weeks time. I've worked with them twice before, I like to call it my signature dish ;)

I tried fimming and eventually just cut the node, didnt seam healthy for the plant to add leaf damage to stem damage. I know that these plants are resilient but if were talking about maximizing time and yield just taking the top off seems the best to me. Ive been looking into starting bonsai with my vegetable garde, next spring and have learned that anything above 30% foliage stress to a woody plant will almost always induce stress. In addition, the bonsai masters suggest using concave pruners and cut paste for faster healing. My knowledge of horticulture has expanded beyond my imagination in the past 6 months or so and I am so thankful for all the people on the interweb who are so readily willing to pass on their valuable information!

electrogypsy is your person for all things bonsai. Will be able to give you a proper run down on it all, I think there is a journal in electro's caravan chronicles 3. I'd never heard of the technique being used, it's like suspending them for an indefinite time before all hell breaks loose. Can't remember the exact science of it so have a look mate, might be worth it :)

10 days in an hour or so. I'm sure the name Critical Kush is making me more panicked than normal. I'm growing 'Happy, Happy Fun Times' next. Less stress ;)

Couldn't find a toothpick for love nor money. But tbf my country men are not known for our pearly whites so maybe that's it ;)

Used my dearly departed Grandad's walking stick instead and took that leaning plant down a peg or two and showed him what time it is.

Grandad would be happy he's part of the garden, I've used his walking stick for other purposes (every woman went through that 50 Shades Stage, I'm still getting over the shock of it all now)

Come to think of it, my grandad had five wives and a 25 year old girlfriend when he died. Starting to think he would have preferred me to leave it as it was ;)

Starting to look like less of a mud farmer now. Come the first few weeks of January this will hopefully be filled with Stinky :)

You got a fan in there right ? Sorry just don't see one ?
