Critical Comparative: Growing Anything Critical Related? Let's Share Info And Get The Most Out Of Our Grow

Amazing harvest by the looks of it mr.Luring.....

So just winging it on this on, but dunno if you guys remember @flytier guys in the GG group grow many many moons ago.....this is based on flytiers tall pot design he did similiar in the GG grow,

This is my solo cup quad I'm doing in a local comp, I inserted fly netting to hold the soil in the cup and also for air pruning.. But the roots are starting to circle the bottom of the cup like crazy, but my point is saying you can check on roots only at bottom of cup but with the air pruning you are building up a solid root base inside that cup after about a 4-6 weeks of being in that cap she will be ready to grow crazy when transplanted..... Unfortunately I can't test that theory until I win the comp and empty that cup out.......lol. But I've been considering that as it def does have logic to it. ( at least that's what my brain tells me )

So my cookiesnkush cbd should be arriving today as well as my critical orange punch auto so whoop whoop.
Hell yeah! Miss that dude @flytier ... :ciao:
Come back buddy! We miss your genius!

Looking great down there @Smeegol

I'm excited to follow along with the cup competition. I've always had this urge to try growing a micro plant in a shot glass. Just gotta find a bag seed in my stash or something. No way I'm gonna drop a good bean to grow a blunt. LoL

Good to see ya...

Who doesn't like a little extra LED?
Yeah.. I'm considering throwing this 300w LED panel up in the corner of my shed that houses Princess Fartbubble & her skanky sisters. SSH and Peyote Critical should hit the soil today. That shall be dubbed "bubble-baby corner".

RH came up a bit for me today. Critical + got to come out for some fresh air but will get locked back up in her dome soon. I'll have to crank the a/c as the day gets warmer and the RH will drop right before my eyes. LoL
Anyhow.... here she is;

Dropped another Peyote Critical last night in case my first one doesn't pop. I hope to get these last 2 beans in the dirt by this weekend.

Well I've gotta say, as a first time grower it's nice that the seedlings are transplanted into the solo cup. Having to water the pete moss pellets every few hours eally makes for a pain in the behind when I've got lectures from 8am-8pm! Day 2 of seedling and I'm seeing nice progress. I watered on October 22 at about 7 pm and I'm thinking the moisture will last until the 24'th around the same time in which I'll give a low shot of nutes.

Pretty bush! Going to have some leaf-tucking to do in a week or two :).
Yep, but then in about 3 weeks depending on how they fill the tent I may remove every single leaf in those pics. The leaves that'll be left don't even exist yet. It's strange and amazing to think about if you look at it like that :)

I love my led for veg!!
Does a great job.
But just cant help finishing off with the Gavita HPS!!!

hey guys, I wanted to get your opinion on something. my current tent is 2x4x5' and on my other beginner grow journal someone had said to me that they recommend getting a bigger tent for flowering. My original plan was to manifold my plants and put them into flower fairly short to accommodate for approx. 50% stretch so my finished product would leave me at approx. 2.75 feet which gives me enough room for the distance needed from my light (12"). obviously a bigger tent means more room to grow, which in turn means a larger yield, but do you see the size of my current tent being an issue? I'm planning on getting another one for next grow but I don't want to have to get another one until then if it's not going to be a huge issue. ALSO, can anyone tell me their experience with stretch with their dinafem critical+2.0? Thanks in advance! I'm loving this comparative grow journal and I'm super excited to be a part of it! :yahoo:
Cheers!

I'm using that very same size tent right now with 10 strains including the Critical+2.0 which I have also grow before. The tent is perfect if you are growing small plants and if you can control them well there won't be a problem. The Critical was great! It didn't necessarily have a big stretch but it is a big and strong plant.

10 strains wow that's crazy! I think I may have underdone myself by doing only 3 plants:laugh:. Are you using HPS/MH? what height do you generally put them into flower? with 3 plants I have good horizontal space but as far as vertical growth I can only go to roughly 2.75' as I said. Also what plant training technique do you use if you don't mind me asking? I'm kind of trying to compile a little database in my head of what everyone uses and their effectiveness in situations such as mine.
Cheers!

sorry guys last question! I feel bad cause I'm so fresh to this that I'm probably just getting into my own head. I just checked up on my girls and they're looking good, the only thing I noticed is that one of the cotyledon leaves on the plant closest to my fan is very slightly yellow on the tip. It almost looks as if its getting the slightest nute burn but I haven't provided any nutes yet. Is this anything to worry about and if so what steps should I take? Sorry again for being such a rookie!
Cheers!

The only reason I do ten is because that's how many pots are in my dripper system but before when I was growing in soil I still did 8. Basically I chop leaves off them at certain points in early veg, they're also topped at this point. It stunts them allowing for a shorter plant. I flower at about 4-6 inches. I'm a converted LED grower and right now I'm using 2 100w Luminus COB's. My plants normally end up being in the 2ft range at the end and normally give me about an ounce per plant. With this setup I normally get about 8oz on a bad run and 12oz on a good run but I know I can do much better. I'm just getting used to the hydro but for my next grow I'll be doing a similar thing but with soil. It's much easier to control stretch with soil in my opinion :)

A pic would certainly help but I'm willing to bet that's nothing to worry about :)
