I think you should be able to make that work. Just keep your ventilation dialed in and meticulously monitor temps until you are comfortable with the new "variable".

There's always something that can be done to keep your environment good to go. Worst case scenario, if heat becomes an issue, you could always add some co2. I've seen little disposable co2 treatment canisters that would work in a pinch.

I had no idea what was gonna happen in my grow room when I switched from LED to HPS. It only took a week or so to work out all the kinks. I'm completely satisfied though!

I try to shoot for 50-60% RH through veg and 40-50% through flower.

Ive order 250w as I checked it will be compatible with ballast. I thought Id lower it to a foot above seedlings, keep fan going, zip up the tent, which should help bring up humidity. It should save on electric a bit. Then when they are more robust put em back onto 400w. Does that sound like a good plan?

Yeah buddy. The plants would look like they're crispy around the edges and the fans will start to taco up. Like this...

Once they outgrow the humidity domes, they are generally healthy enough to stand on their own.

I've also used a clear trash bag in a pinch. Couple sprays of water, then sealed the bag. Worked like a champ!
We called it the "fart locker"

Looks frosty Ice!

and me !!.
And bilbo lol
Okay okay!
If you see any negative reaction to low RH on your seedlings, you can always put clear plastic cups over them as humidity domes.
Nice job with the platter cover. If you ever go with plastic cup domes on sprouts I'd put a few holes in the top or prop up one side to prevent the stem from rotting. They still need some air circulation (unless the plant is in a bag of farts...then all bets are off :)).

If ya ever find yourself in need. They are expensive for long term use, but would be reasonable for occasional use.
