i think there is some change going on there..:)

Another day of spraying 60ppm CS and 12/12...Looks like we have some liftoff!

nothing really in this bud (that I can see)

...and I do believe I see the solid beginnings of some nanners down there. :)

all of the proposed seed hosts got their timers set to 12/12. Today they will start. This makes a 2-week separation between the reversal candidate and the seed hosts.

Ziggy, Im working on expanding, got a 10 x 10 x 7 waiting for some p900 to be back in stock and get some electrical shit taken care of, then we might do a thread, sometimes my time here is very short. I have new strains, some new tga testers and man...I pulled this Larry og, holy fuck bro....It was nothing short of amazing. That plant allowed me to figure out the OG drench too.

I see people are still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off in their cd timing too. Man I looked at some of these plants people are drenching with Cat and they arent at bud set. Look guys, if your plant has buds on it....guess what, its flowering...thats right you missed it by 2 weeks. Bud set is when the buds are starting to form. PEROID. The longer you wait to give that cat drench the longer your flowering period is going to be. Trust me, ive done it every way possible. When they start showing they're flowering...its time, dont wait until they have flowers to tell the soil its time to flower....Thats kinda retarded...Just saying ;)

Are you saying we're all wrong...including DB. I've grown MANY crops with our Kit and have tried different times for the CD over about three yrs. I'm kind of surprised you jump in here with 9 posts of being on this thread and basically say we're all wrong!! Are you familiar with DBHBB drenches and know of the differences between the Drenches and the reasoning behind the CD's? Almost 30 yrs. of growing weed ....thanks but i'l stick with MY methods...I know they work! Cheers eh!

According to Doc, he gave this plant its first Cat drench a week earlier. If you look at other examples, they are in the same ballpark for CD timing.

Hey DrZiggy. Hope you don't mind if I tag along for this journal. I've been looking for a CS journal ever since Tokers journal. I think maybe that's who you were referencing back on the first page. I've got some rooted clones and will be starting CS in a couple weeks. Reading this journal has been a great refresher! Very curious to see how the male CS plants do too. Is this male reversal thing a test your running or has someone done this before? Very interesting.

allsmiles, welcome!! yes..we are not supposed to reference 'vanquished' members. :)
I have made female seeds before but not with this brand or concentration of CS.
The sex reversal thing of the pollen is new for me..I never heard of the idea before thinking it up on some great herb :thumb:

Oops...my bad! Well Now i'm all in to see what happens with the males!

going well guys
its great when you do your own , i stored some of my pollen from my auto thc bomb in the freezer im gonna use it on some regular seeds i got ( females ) hoping it works still , i pollinated an auto bomb got over 500 seeds grown about 35 plants so far no males , i also used the pollen for a regular blue blood and got over 100 seeds as i only did a couple of branches. saves a mint :)

Well, a couple more days of spraying 60ppm colloidal silver and it looks like I might be able to stop spraying any time now. :)

I sprayed this plant for 18 days...so far

Next question, since I have some big girls smack in the middle of week 5, I want to keep the chance of pollenating them to a minimum. I have made a makeshift area in another room to accommodate the male when it starts dropping pollen (I don't have a separate tent and wouldn't trust it if it were in the same room anyway). I'm just too much a bull in a china shop sometimes. So, since there are definitely male pollen sacs forming, at what point should I remove it from the flower room?

Govt..congratulations!! thats awesome!! :thumb: I would spray a couple of more days, especially the areas that are just showing to change. Im using stronger CS and started before you, & mine have not changed so much, if at all, yet. :)

there are several things you can do:

bag the plant..throw a bag over her head..this time its ok!
I tend towards this one: time it prior to a foliar spray.. if possible isolate the female/male..clip the male sack/nannas as theyre opening, pollenate the desired buds by placing directly on the pistils. Cover with a cup for an 1/2 hour or so..then lightly foliar spray. This will knock down the air borne pollen. Some have claimed that water inactivates the pollen..we shouldnt have any plants if water inactivates pollen., just say'n :)
-let it pollenate what it wants.. (you end up at 'GO' with Ziggy )
