Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

separation? isolation? Once the sacs or nanna's are present, and are about to open they are ready. I use either a hobby paint brush or tweezers to pull a sac off and place onto the pistils I wan fertilized.
Put the dood in a plastic bag(Think V is for Vendetta, or Dark Knight :)) when done.
I took out the males I was spraying..they are ready.
I pollenated a branch of my Purple Haze(+), and the top of the Panama(+) I potted thus AM with the pollen.
I am trying to change the pollen from a male pollen to a female pollen and wont know until I sex out 1/2 doz seeds . This si just a trial of this idea. I will start CS immediately upon sex determination next time.

I was talking about after I flip my sprayed clones to flower, is two weeks about right to wait until I flower the clones that are to bear seed?

Lets assume I want to reverse one entire plant and pollinate another. In my mind the timeline is something like....

Starting with two rooted clones begin spaying one with CS.

Spray once per day just before lights out for minimum two weeks while in veg.

After min two weeks of CS treatment, begin flowering your CS sprayed clone. Continue with daily treatment.

Two weeks after putting the sprayed clone to flower, place the other clone into flower. Do not spray second clone.

Continue spraying the first clone until nuts or nanners form, then spray for a few more days.

Hopefully have garden sex. The female clone should be filling out nicely just as the female pollen is becoming available.

Is that about right?

Sounds about right to me heirloom. I said 1 week to simplify things on my end a little bit, but also because the window to pollenate is bigger than most people think. As Ziggy stated earlier in the thread, you can pollenate late in flower as long as you give the pollenated flowers enough time to mature AFTER pollenation.

I have the clone I'm spraying with CS in the flower tray at this point. It's been in there since Saturday and been sprayed with CS since Thursday. In fact, I just finished the first ounce of spray and had to "reload" the small sprayer I'm using. This also allows me to roughly measure the amounts I'm spraying on it. The two selected recipients of the pollen this clone will create are still in the veg area and will likely get up-potted to 2 gal softies this week when they dry out, then go right in there too.

heirloom, sounds like a great plan :)

Dr. Z/Govchz- in your experience(s) how long do the reversed plants produce pollen? Similar to a male.... a solid two weeks or so then trailing off (well the few males I've let go seemed that way)?

Thank you!

heirloom, they produce as long as they would normally...I guess a week or 2..They do almost explode and throw lots of pollen into the environment when fully ripe. Isolate from those you dont want to pollenate. Change your clothing, etc..
Ive read where people spray water and claim it 'inactivates' pollen..??? :hmmmm:
Im thinking it may just help ground the airborne pollen..it does rain on these girls and boys in the wild, sometimes monsoons too.

:welcome: CSs.. :)

HI Ziggs!

HiJack you thread time!

Doing the share my garden thing.
I not using any CS but I am about to gather some pollen. I have an Ace seed regular mix Male ready to drop some of that yellow stuff.
I don't plan on the gathering to be successful but I am gonna try anyway. Gonna collect and save for seeds that should break ground this week.
Not sure what the strain is, doesn't matter.
I thought I would share some pictures of how I am going gather it. I got the idea from somewhere on here not sure but whoever it could be, ChaHaHeers! :thanks:

Here is the boy top:

And I am doing the cup around the base, in hope of gathering as much as possible. (I also Have a cutting in a small glass of water, not in the picture.)
Here is the cup and plant . . . Medium size linked to original

Wish me luck, I leave home on Wednesday and will not be back till Saturday. Gonna gather as much as I can before i leave. And hope it will drop and keep till I get back.

Now back to Ziggy's thread.

Proper pollen collection and storage should be addressed here too IMO. I'm certainly not up to speed on that, but in the event a grower's timing is off a bit, a sound way to collect and store viable pollen while maintaining it's viability could save months of planning and growing.

I'll look around for some info/data as I was planning on doing that this week anyway.

I have an airtight aspirin container and planned to use the veggie draw in my refrigerator. I dont have any rice but I may have a food safe desiccant pack in my vitamin jar. SO far my goal is to keep it dry and cool for 2-3 weeks at most.

I think Cannafan had some tips in a blog or links to the FAQs. ( i remember something about mixing in a little flour, not sure )

I think I was looking here:
Pollen - How To Collect It And Use It

Brief Update: Sprayed 80ppm C.S. on 3 Female Panama(+);The 2 Male Panama(+) have been retired on account...
..on account they were wanting to shoot pollen everywhere.. One pollenated a branch on a Purple Haze(+); and a Panama(+) top
Im not expecting a pollen (male to female) switch since the CS spray treatment was too short a period, IMO. I will check anyway.
The 3 received dose at dilution: 1/2 oz DeStress w/ 1/4 oz Wayahead10X/Qt H2O

The 2 Panama(+) tops, Not sure if they will root..

The 3 Females received GE/Tea today :)

I haven't posted anything myself here last couple days as it's just the boring tedium of spraying a nice little clone everyday religiously for a couple weeks...I'm on day 7 lol

In fact, I haven't really looked at it too closely for the last few days as I'm not expecting any "action" for a few more. I'll check it all tonight, maybe snap a few pics and post an update too.

Good morning!

Here is a look at the specific clone I'm spraying...

reversal1.jpg

I've hit it with colloidal silver 60ppm everyday for a week (I also sprayed twice on 2 different days...FYI)

Here's a look underneath...

Today marks one full week. So, if it's going to be 3 weeks on this hardy strain, I have another 2 weeks of spraying. I've used almost 2 ounces of the CS dilution so far.

:peace:

Another day of spritzing. I took some pics this morning but most are terrible. I'm old and can't see until I take them and put them on laptop, but this one is of a node.

Notice it looks like you can see the silver particles pooling on the leaf edges from getting sprayed the last week+
