Ok so wud that timing change for an auto??

Nope, do everything the same. We just need the last treatment to be before the developed male flowers open. Won't matter if it's photo or auto or even cannabis. This also works in other Rosales order plants. I'm really excited about all the applications. :thumb:

:Namaste:

Good Afternoon All! I am trying to catch up on the thread, I am on page 43 right now :cheesygrinsmiley: Does anyone know if there are any threads like this specifically for autos?

I was just wondering what to expect next. She is Purple Auto Express, sprouted 5/21 been spraying with cs since 6/13. Stopped 2 days ago. I would like her to self pollinate. Do these pods turn into seeds eventually or do they just open up and spill pollen? Do they change color when "ripe"? Is my next step to just wait until they start to bust open then spread the pollen to the pistils?

Thanks Dr Ziggy and everyone else for the help! Happy Growing to all!

It depends on the strain but I can see those male flowers are beginning to purple up a little which means they are getting close to ripe. They will open and spread pollen. Sometimes you can find seeds deep in the clusters of male flowers so I always check before disposing of or storing. Selfing an auto is totally up to the auto and how long it stays receptive. I like to have others of various ages around just in case and always seem to have better results that way. I think the next time I run auto's for seed I'll just reverse the whole plant and let it loose on a bunch of others but the branch method works.
You're definitely in waiting mode lol. How are your female flowers looking?

I think that one will be fine. It's just becoming receptive now and auto's have a larger window than most photos. The deed will probably happen in about two weeks. If those male flowers aren't open and dumping in a week it wouldn't hurt to hit it with one more dose of CS. Male flowers are somewhat sensitive to ambient conditions like RH. They like fluctuations and respond on a cellular level, so the water in the CS could help with that as it evaporates. Provided you have issues to begin with. I've never had trouble with autos and I've reversed at least 5-6 here and a good twenty or more with one of my gardeners.
