Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Attempt #2
CS diluted 80ppm-100ppm
Applied x2 daily for 2-3 weeks prior to bloom. Foliar sprayed future bud sites till wet.

Bloom Wk. 1:
Spray x2 daily during lights on. Pistils like normal...

Bloom Wk. 2:
Running low on solution, spray daily till wet. Bud sites beginning to bud up I think.

Bloom Wk. 3:
Ran out of CS spray mid week. It's out of my hands now. Fingers crossed for some seed sacks throughout this crop.

Bloom Wk. 4:
The Platinum Kush is changing! Thank Ganja! I've got visible signs of a reversal and I haven't sprayed I a week. +Critical Super Silver Haze may have needed to be pushed a bit further.

It changed indeed. It looks like some male flowers already opened in fact! Also, I'm no authority, but from what I've seen there is a threshold of ppm that is desirable, and if I recall, 80-100 is on the high end of it...but I'll double check. Sometimes even though the reversal has taken it might take a few more days for it to actually present, so fingers crossed it took.

Are you collecting the pollen? or just letting it rip in your flower room?

I have pulled a few seeds off of my GSC girl. First one was green and I planted it anyway even though I knew it wasn't viable. As expected it never germinated. 1 1/2 weeks ago I pulled another seed off and tried again. Soaked it overnight like I normally would and planted the next day. It never germinated but when I crushed it, it looked like it was actually viable. Two seeds fell off the mother today when I was watering her and they are soaking now and will be planted tomorrow. This is my first try at breeding. Both of the seeds today looked like one would expect a commercial seed to look like. Fingers crossed.

I want to pollinate the 2nd plant and collect pollen gov. Q: Do the plants producing pollen also make the seeds?

On mine I only sprayed the Colloidal Silver on the bottom branches with the hopes of pollinating the top kolas. She kind of did her own thing but I seem to have a few places pollinated. I could never harvest any pollen off her. All the sacs that I found had no pollen in them but there had to be some pollen because she has some seeds.

I took a few pictures so I could get opinions.

She is looking ready to harvest to me. Seed pods are open with seeds visible. Seeds have brown color with the tiger stripes. Sorry about the pictures. They aren't the best. It's hard to get good pictures of them with my iPhone.

Couple more days and the timing should work out just right for these "Serious 6" sativa clones. No pollen yet but it wouldn't hurt the flowers to mature for a few more days anyway.

It looks like you have seedage!! If you're able to let the plant go another week or so, let it. In fact, let it die if you want an additional measure of certainty as the plants tend to encourage seed production if it's dying. But it looks like a success to me. :thumb:

Regarding pollinating same plant, I'm not a fan. It can be done and people do it all the time. I prefer the separation and dispose of the reversed plant entirely once pollen is harvested.

I aint seein a dadgummed bit of turn on my silver girl 2.

that's 29 days of spraying.....

damn!! nice seed harvest allsmiles.

Harvested fem seeds on the Bubble Gum clones. Branchy pheno BG2 seeds are a lot lighter brown then BG3.

BG2 seeds probably could have used another week but still have hundreds of viable seeds from her. Can't wait to grow a few of them out!
