Crawdaddy's 4'X4' Grow Tents w/Mars II 240X5W LED

I'm so glad to see your plants doing so well! I noticed the red stems, and I've been searching like crazy as to what it is, and some say its just genetics, and others say its something to do with the nutes. Yours are doing so good though so I'm thinking its just genetics. I'm on my first grow, and I have what seems to be a cross between a White Dwarf and an afghani that I got from Herbies. It's an autoflower feminized seed. It's doing great but I was so worried about the red stems that are popping up.

I just ordered my Mars II light yesterday, and scheduled to be delivered this week (fingers crossed) :bitingnails: Been using CFL's but I've been searching for a great LED to switch to.

Good luck and beautiful plants you have!

If your stems and fan leaves are red/purple on the underside that can be either a calcium and magnesium deficiency or a some people believe it is a phosphorous deficiency.

It is also possible that it is an expression of genetics through the phenotype.

I think it a combination of both. And LED seem to make it more likely

Maybe this has been answered but on your fan controller do you have it set to run on low all the time and then full speed when it exceeds set temp? Or is it off until it exceeds temp?

It runs low, in all honesty I not sure if I have controller set up correctly, did not come with directions. But it seems to do the trick, when gets above ~78 fan kicks in to high and gets noisy.

Watered/fed the ladies today and res change on the Hawaiian Snow, so here is an update.

Flower day 28

Hawaiian Snow is dominating the tent as usual. Everything looking good, just some slight burned tips on the Hawaiian Snow in hydro. I am using 1/2 ferts now instead of full. Otherwise everything is pretty much spotless. still no difference in airpot vs nursery pot, I think the big test will be root structure check after I harvest. Sorry for poor quality of pics today, seems to focus better if I use flash which did not today.

Anyhow Pics...

Looking like a nice crowd to be in :)

While red petioles, can be a sign of deficiency, or a natural expression of certain strains - in this case - the petiole are observably green in the picuture, where shaded from the light, so it's not a deficiency, but the normal color you will see, when growing with LEDs.

If CDs foot turns red, then that means he has a cannabis deficiency, and should uptake as much as possible. :)

Subbed up. Looking forward to reading your journal it looks like I finally found a journal that isnt almost done.

Welcome SmokerJoe!

Some sorda bad news:

In order to stay under my legal plant count(30 total, 15 for me and 15 for g/f) for some future endeavors (just got 10 autoflower seeds I want to plant in next few weeks to try for early summer crop), I had to rid myself of 9 plants total between all my areas. This tent sacrificed the two Super Cheeses. Not all that bad though, tent was too crowded anyhow, now the big ass Hawaiian Snow has more room.

It's like giving up one of your kids. Actually maybe worse....:circle-of-love:

LOL, well I do not have kids but I think I know what you mean. Took me a week plus of considering it before I did it, not like I need the bud they will make(still sitting on last summers harvest) but it was so hard to bring myself to chopping them down.

That Hawaiian snow is going to be awesome. A strain I really want to grow. Wow still smoking last summers harvest? How much space do you have again? Just a 4 X 4 tent? Do you just grow 1 main cola with no branching to get that type of harvest or do you have a secondary room as well?
