Crawdaddy's 4'X4' Grow Tents w/Mars II 240X5W LED

Hi Crawdaddy. Keep up the good work, the plants look great, and nice trichome pics..;)

To 60cal.

I'm going to be doing the Bud Wash on my upcoming harvest in a couple of weeks due to a minor bug problem I had. I had to use a pesticide called "Mighty wash" which is very mild, but I still want to wash it off along with anything left behind by the bugs.
I searched aroubd for the best info on Bud washing and here's the short version with a link to the entire article.
Good luck man.:thumb:

Thanks stealthgrow, I printed this out for future problems.

i would try a bigger air stone bigger air pump and some of that h2o2 for hydroponics but then again i have never done hydro and im still on my 1st grow so who am i to say

Even first time growers can have input here. You may have a approach that hasnt been thought of yet so no need to sell yourself short.

I 2nd what Joe said, just spit out ideas it up to the person looking for advice to determine if your advice is worthy LOL.

In this case, maybe adding an airstone, as this is a GH Waterfarm complete set up and it has a small bubbler, that also forces water through drip ring, so maybe an additional airstone may help. I also almost only gave this one treatment, and near the end, of The Capn's beneficial tea recipe I found recently that I just started using. The idea is it promotes the good bacteria thus not giving room for the bad bacteria to thrive.

thanks guys i just dont want people think im talking out of my ass because i have no experience with dwc and not much experience with growing at all but i have a very solid understanding and interest of how things work all i do is read all day about how to improve my garden and dwc is going to be my next project or a ebb & flow with the coco and air pots

you know crawdad i use botanicare organic nutes and my roots where the nutes get caught up all look brown but all new root growth is white
if your nutes color the res and the plant is doing well id just chalk it up to the nute coloring the roots
if it was root rot youd have issues

He isnt here so I will answer it. I will say no. That is about a 95% confidence level. The reason I cant say 100 is because I dont grow hydro but I know a good deal about roots. To me rotting roots would cause the plant not to absorb nutrients as well depending on the amount of rot. As a soil grower root rot rarely happens and would only happen if you almost constantly overwater where as in hydro those roots are always hanging in the water(according to the type of hydro system) A plant absorbing less nutrients then optimum happens a lot in soil especially as the ppm tapers off in the later flowering stages and this alone doesnt cause stress . In order for the plant to stress you would need to drastically change the lighting such as lowlight, going rapidly from a indoor plant to a outdoor plant, missing a few light cycle changes if the timer dies or if you forget to do it manually things of that nature. So my answer is no root rot wouldnt cause a nanner.

Hmmm I do not see how I could get any pollen from these and seeing no signs of swollen calyxs that would indicate a seed forming.

I am really leaning toward changing res tonight and using FloraKleen and harvesting beginning of next week. Then I can get my BIG Hawaiian Snow in there. As I said before I think this is mature enough to be some high quality smoke.

thanks Everyone!

My last harvest was chopped due to the nanners and there were over 50 seeds on 1 of my girls and it sure weren't from no man plant.... I certainly don't think it hurt the smoke but I didn't want seeds but it was my first grow and I am sure it was from stress I caused.....:circle-of-love:

I did not really think it would, but does not hurt to ask :)

Have you grown a clone of that plant? and did it herm?

I pulled the Other 5 plants(2 X Double Berry, 2 X Choco Chunk and 1 X Brainstorm) out of the tent to take some trich shots to judge harvest. Just planning on str8 water till end.

Flower Day 52....

Interesting find: I am noticing my first difference in air pot vs nursery pot, and my girlfriend confirmed it independently, I did not tell her what I noticed and she came to same conclusion. If anything I would expect the airpots to be better, but we both thought that the buds on plants in the nursery pots on each strain (Double Berry and Choco Chunk) are distinctly 'fatter' then the buds on the plants in air pots. Either way they all smell and look killer.

The last cut of the first Brainstorm seed i planted last summer is actually doing MUCH better then any of her predecessors. I am partly wishing I had kept cut, but I have some of different phenos going in other tent i do have clones of and may keep. They key to her seems to be to BARELY give her any food.

I told you not to pick at the nanners LOL

very nice trichs pics. I think you'll be there real soon very beautiful gonna go check my trichs hope they didnt get too red!

Looking real nice. I just posted some pictures on my journal. Feel free to take a look

ill have to agree with smoker CrawDad root rot would cause nutrient uptake issues and it would show in the growth of the plant

Thanks Lester !

Is that the little ring inside of the ball on top of stalk?

Yeah, it is very difficult for the lighting to be correct to actually see it, those are some damn good photographs. Those be some pubescent trichomes. :circle-of-love:
