Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

So the low and slow replaces hang drying? Is that correct? Because if I hang dry I have to do it within my tent which will effect when I can get the next round of girls in there. How is the smell if you use this method? Are we talking smell it when you open the fridge or smell it when you open the front door? Lol

I definitely smell it when I open the door to the fridge or freezer door for that matter. But when the doors are closed no smell. I like the idea of drying it slowly to allow more of the "green" taste to leave the plant as it takes more then 2X as long to dry in the fridge then when I hang dry.

That main colas is huge!

52" all the way down to the side branches. Its a whopper.

Ohhhhh myyyyyy! That thing ain’t even like a baseball bat....it’s like uhhhhhh :bongrip: somethin bigger than a bat!

Chopped her Friday - measured the main cola down to where the skirt side branches go out. It's solid bud all the way down @ 52" long big around as my leg up top there. It's a big bud! hahahaha I don't think it will fit in a pic. I'll have to lay a table cloth down on the kitchen table and take a pic once she's dried.

Outdoor plants grown indoors....seriously amazing! Great flower structure along with the size. Real nice work bob. How did that cola top over the lights look from not being under lights? :peace:

Thanks there BL - flower above the lights - everything is there cept they get a little more airy than the buds under the lights. Maybe a little less terpines but I just throw em all in the jar and call it done. Not a lot of diff in the pipe. Cant really tell so all good.

This one was all cloudy with about 5% amber @ 93 days and still throwing out lots on pistols. I could have let her go several more days if not a few more weeks.

Summer time is here, I need to take a break and go fishing. This walking around in a perpetual sweat is starting to get old. I don't know how people survived without AC.

That's my excuse and I'm sticky to it.

I'm a little bummed everyone is getting the fall run going and I'm whining about the weather and doing shit about it.

I think I'm going to get my fall run going b-4 I leave for vacay. Get some FEMs going in VEG and vacate to cooler climates.

I have to take cuts from my DT & LAB mothers, get them in the cloner and pop some seeds.

I've got sooo many seeds its difficult to chose.

I must choose wisely,
Try I will.
Fail I will not.

frost free or all fridge...the ones with the little freezer(which is basically useless:rolleyes:) have a tendency to ice up ...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:

Good for beer tho... gets them icey cold! a lotta the time IF left in there.

For the low n slow we need a frost free deal. Thats how the moisture gets evacuated from the fidgerator. I'm thinking.. not expert. 1st try & most always lucky.

Smooth it is
High A/F I am.

I'll garrenetee ya he wishes he was hung like that?????????????? Man grow that untopped outside and you'll have a hella tale to tell the Grandkids..........

Wait ... all my girlfriends call me Rhino ... just sayin.

My wife calls me ... ummmm wait sometimes she doesn't call me, I'm confused now. o_O

Bro 52" long she is. My inseam = 30", be tripping all over myself. That wood be ugly I'm thinking.

Outdoor a dream for me right now.

I'm not sure I'm ready to graduate to Boveda packs yet. I'm more of a simple mindset in that I would rather have it a little dry then have it develop mold. I don't grow enough that I worry about long term storage. But I do understand the need for them if storing at the perfect RH levels is a must.

I use the boveda packs to help keep the flowers @ 62% RH in the jar. I've never had any issues with mold from them. It keeps the flowers at the right RH for a proper cure and them keeps them properly hydrated for storage.

I have a bunch of the 60gm packs in 1/2 gal mason jars. Helps with cure 420% and the buds are moist even after 6 months and need to dry overnight to roll a fatty.

Someone here suggested them to me several years ago. The only storage I did prior was mason jars and weed got kinda dry over time. I'm sure there are other ways to preserve but I went with the Boveda packs and have been happy with result.

Yeah if you want to see what and if ready take that hydrometer and put your low and slow buds in glass jar air tight with hydrometer if humidity reads 58- 64% you can take out of fridge and store cure as normal with boveda two way humidity control packs to keep and maintain that humidity.

That ^^^ thanks KJ - I don't use hygrometers and get the results I expect.

I ran the lunch bags with 28-32 gms wet per bag loaded the fridge - took 14 days. Was most all good. Had to leave 1 set of 20 bags in for another few daze. I wasn't home so no shake n bake. Came home to a trim party of 7..... 7 daze that is ...... and careful what I wish for. I'm still high. o_O

@SweetSue was my guiding light on this. Without her helps I'd still be futzing about.

She's the best
dedicated she is.

You’re fun to learn with B.B. :hugs: I’m thankful it worked for you. In this case it was a godsend, regardless of the unending trim. :battingeyelashes:

The daughter locked into your Labrynth today. Lol! She says it gives her those indica eyes she enjoys so much, but it doesn’t set her down foggy.

She told me it doesn’t have much effect on her motivation because she’s pretty unmotivated to begin with.

When she stopped by for the second buzz I asked if she was vaping Labrynth again. She took a long, deep pull, exhaled her cloud of vapors and smiled big, broad, and happy.

“Oh yeah.....good stuff.” A nod of approval and another deep pull.

I call it a winner for the Indica Queen. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Yeah I try the method myself and swear it is better then my normal brown bags or hanging room to dry slowly. Sadly my wife forgot to do anything with them and when I came home two zips our of my 5 I had from harvest mold . Due to not shaking and controlling humidity. So I told myself I’ll do it again when I have money to spare for myself mini fridge with climate control. Bit my buddy from
Mag gifted me some rasp kush he slow and cured and very impressive .

Joe, a couple of the tricks I've learned is to limit the amount of bud in each bag to 28 grams wet and lay them on their side to increase surface area. I only reach in to gently bounce them apart in their stickiness every three days.

I don't even bother to check the humidity or temperature in my fridge. I set it for drying low and slow and I never set it back. Lol! Everything accommodates the plant, doesn't it?

What exactly would those settings be? Or what are we shooting for temp and RH wise? And yes, yes it does :rollit:

Props my "coots mix" friend! Cant wait until my soil gets to that point. Your operation is simply beautiful and seems to me almost maintenance free! Very cool! I still find it necessary to add the occasional "boosters" such as foliars, minimal top dressings, FFJ, LABS, etc.. Hopefully by the time they run out I wont be needing to use any of them!

I also just ordered another Timber, what spectrum of the Veros do you typically use? I went with half 3000k and the other half 3500k to hopefully get a nice little balance, Its worked pretty great for me so far with my 4vs. But was curious what you used to get them abnormally monster sized colas!?

Keep up the good work, and thanks for all the help you've been in the past! :rollit::passitleft:

B B gun ?

I'm and accomplished target shooter. 10m target bulls eye x 3 in the standing position.

Problem is I live in the city.

As soon as I show up outside with a rifle: ding ding diddling :"911 whats your emergency?"

Caller: "we have an armed gunman, rifle up and active shooting"

Me - Oppsie..... Duck n cover.

It's funny tho thinking about it. There's five in the family. Since heat wave they have moved on to cooler pastures. Neighbors that leave garbage cans out without lids are now complaining about them in their roof. Yawn ..... good news, I can sleep better now.

In catchup here...

I run mostly all 3K - one rack I have four 3K cobs and two 1750K cobs. Thats for a 4x4 space and everything that came out of there was completely off the charts good smoke.

Even same genetics, just a step up all said and done. 3K and 3.5K should work too - you cant go wrong with Timber. Can get em real close to the plants. 3-5 inches or just grow em into the lamps is how I do it. It's all good.

I just dont fuss with plants much other than automated watering...IPM is a thing and pest spotting. So foilers... and can add in goodies when you do your IPM. I always start slacking after I haven't seen the Borg (mites) for a few months. Then its just do nothing until the mites eventually show back up. And they will.

The soil I use just gets better and better. You'd be surprised at the research thats been done to show how little the plants actually take away from soil. They give back as much or very close to what they up-take.

No-till is a thing and the farmers are on it.

Very informative, thank you!

Automated watering? Are you using blumats?

Hana too funny yes I can just picture bobrown on the 6 o’clock news. Lol

Well maybe we can get a pistol B.B. fun not a rifle lol . More stealth mode.

Well I’m glad my neighbour has a family of 4-5 as well in his back yard she’d been there for years . But my old neighbour gave us his old Baer box we call them here in Canada . And it’s a wood box essentially with a lid. So I can store my garbage organics there. Ever since no issues with messes or coons really.

Good times .

Have a good week brown✊

Godsend it is. Worked otherwise I'd still be waiting to go on vacation. Although we hurried up to get to Canada for Canada Day... it got hotter than hell. Was hotter in Canada than in Philly... that's a first fer sure. The heat lasted for 7 daze.

Over 70 people died in Quebec from heat exhaustion. Quebec is about 90ish miles the way the crow flies. It gets to 105F in the shade no wind no AC, shit get serious quick.

We were lucky for a lake right over there.... was even tough to go jump in the water. :surf: Too hot for beer... that should have been a sign for me to GTF outta there. Canada kept the heat too... just broke last night. Thankfully we were not there to see it go.

Now suffering here in Philly. 90rh and temps in the 70s = wet conditions. Last night RH was 100% dew point 74F .. perpetual sweat. Nasty shit, even my nads think so. The ladies are happy @ 80F and 45rh in the AC.

Yeah Sue - the LAB is for-real good weed. That's the Starfighter (The Cube) genetics. It's fire everything I've ran with Starfighter gets me that "Weed eye" but lifted and body buzzed. Calms me down and lifts me up, get some munchies with... feel great the next day. Is a very very good M-Maker too, good yields with fast finish. I've had them finish in under 50 days. Been doing 6 zips in the can per plant.

Straight up nuggetry.

Approved and suggested.

Wood like to cross some Starfighter with Cookies to give cookies a little more lift. Lemon Cookies may be a thing.

Very informative, thank you!

Automated watering? Are you using blumats?

No bluemats. Tried them first. We are on to more water. I use AutoPot XL ...

I have the 6.5gal hard pots but AutoPot now does 5gal smarties (Smart Pots - fabric) in several sizes. Highly recommend. If you have a grow space that you need to transport water into. This is a good solution.

It's been working for me for a few years. Suggest having a flood and drain tray (no need for drain valve) 4 plants to a 4x4 space.

I run 8-10 plants each run in flower. They drink a lot of water. I'd be gassed if I had to carry buckets of water every day. Now I run a RH filter out a hose into a 70 gal flexi-tank reservoir. In flower that's about 8 days of water until run out. Then another 6 days plants after run out without stress. 2-3 weeks I've gone without being on location, depending how big the girls are.

It works highly suggest. Fits in with my non-work work attitude. Just sayin. :surf:
I don't futz with plants and dont like watering. So problems solved.

The ladies are in charge. Thats a sign. I'm going with it.

Oh and AutoPot is a company from Europe, so all they have on offer is available to the Euro folks, yes indeedy.
