my old man has a traegar, thing is great, he bought the first one soon after they came out, it caught fire somehow and ruined a fathers day turkey, but they replaced it with a new one in less than a week and its been going for years since.

raccoons... Have a baby one in my house right now that the wife rescued :rolleyes:... They are pretty amazing animals... but they are certainly pests. Live traps are your best bet. have an old farmers recipe that wont let them get more than a few steps from the bowl. I dont agree with it, but sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.

legalization. I have mixed feelings.

Think it will ruin medical marijuana, everyone will be growing for rec and not caring about the quality for the patients... If the patients can even get the best quality because they will want top dollar for it on the rec market.

Definitley see big tobacco taking over, they have the deep pockets to get up and running quickly, but only want the profits, so they will mass produce crap. Dont even want to start talking about genetics and monsanto and gmo weed. Probably the ones pushing to ban home grown. Defintely going to spending some money on a seed stock pile.... I think seeds will be as good as gold in the future.

laws are very unclear from what i have read, whats 4plants? Just 4plants? 4 Flowering plants? Veg/seedling limits? There will be more penalties for selling... But if i donate some of my homegrown to a friend, who lives in an apartment and unable to grow (guarantee landlords will put this in your lease), and he reimburses me for my expenses... Is that a crime? Cause if i had a plane in canada, having my private license, i can offer flights to anyone but i can only ask for reimbursement of my expenses, not a profit.

there seems to be alot of loopholes and lack of clarity in the federal laws and the provincial ones will be just as shotty.

until i can grow it like my peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc, and have no worries, i wont be happy lol rant over.. Here someone take this, its making me chatty ..

Dude yer right, man I've been looking for them since day 35.. up close too. Nothing.
Some strains foxtail as part of the genetics. Some plants foxtail cause of stress, that's when we get nanners.

I had to do some research. I was completely freaked out at first. Then I tried some test nugs and well problems solved. It's REAL good.

Nice balance.

Sativa after day 85ish.. the sun aint shining right and they can throw nanners. Growing Indica is a little easier cept for mold.

I'm about to chop them all down!

Might let the runt go a few weeks more and see if she gets me some S1s while we're up at the cottage. She's like 1 main cola 5 feet long. Just thinking about how many I could fit in a 4x4 space! Prolly 6 - the yield would be outta sight.

I was looking REAL close here for nanners.

So far so good. Was going to just let them go until nanners then chop. But its getting close to 80 days now in flower for #1 and #2 and close for #3.

Not really when u look at the intent of the law. They are the government.....they want two things. Money and control. They can't have either if u grow at home. Laws are generally written to benefit the government, not us.

I was thinking of top dressing my earthbox since I am starting flowering lights soon.
You ever see this 'Coast of Maine Stonington Organic Plant Food'? Described as organic granular fertilizer made with lobster, crab, fish and kelp meal plus worm castings and other natural ingredients. It caught my eye in the hardware store today.
I have brand new BAS classic soil going so I am leaning towards some 'pure' worm castings top dressing, i do-not wanna screw with this grow. I need to get some stash in the pipe line, I have about 3 months supply left:laugh:
And this thing will flower at least 10 weeks I bet.

I have no castings on hand so i got to purchase, i am a bad plant daddyo_O

I am off to see John Kadlecik and pals tonight. I like me some guitar improv and I have not 'done anything' but work in months.

Be careful with a top dressing.............. Too much organics will invite fungus gnats and other bugs. I top dress mine too,, but I mix in some dirt like 50/50 with my organics and than turn it into the top couple inches of soil.
 
Thanks for the tip norcal.. got some ewc to use this run if i need it. Thanks to you too mr brown.. you had mentioned an ro buddie in pennywise's journal. Thinking that's what has been missing in my grow equation.. good quality water for my plants. Will work perfectly for me!

Laws arent meant to be free or morally good.. laws are in place to make the system work. They have brainwashed us into making us think its the land of the free.. when we are all just little pieces of their sick twisted puzzle.:rip:

I try not to think about government. Local gov is all I care about. The fed are so messed up its just totally bizarre. If fucking Nixon wasn't enough to make people sick of it... oh wait he WAS enough, we stood up to that fucktard only to have him replaced with worse (not Ford). Back to real bizz.

Chop day for 2 of my ladies.

Chopped #4 and #2 - only cause they were the easiest to get to. #4 was not done. Should have left her go. Airy buds about 1/2 way down but got a big haul.

#2 was greasy A/F. Was sticking to everything. I love when that happens. My finger tips were sticking to each other, had hard time pulling them apart.

I'm doing the "low n slow" drying method.

Since I'm heading out of town the fridge is going to be empty. May as well make good use of it eh? It's half full now with weed in paper bags.

I'm using Sweet Sue's directions. 30gms to a paper bag, fold top over a few times and into the fridge stack em up.

Buds were rough trimmed all fans removed and buds no stems. If this works I might need to buy one of those dorm refrigerators (frost free). This was pretty easy.


Only found 2 nanners - no seeds on 2 large plants. Sue said for every 4 bags I get 1 zip dried. So I gotta a shit ton of bags in the fridge. I'll have to count em up when I get back from vaycay.


Going to leave BH #5 go - she and #4 could go another 2 weeks easy. They all probably could have but #1 #2 #3 - all side branches were @ the floor and the main stems all had to be tied up. So that's usually a sign for me it's time to chop.

#2 was super cropped. Just the top was 10 bags @ +30gms each.
Oh and my house smells like weed again. hahahahaha o_O

Tomorrow 2 more ladies on the hook and in the bags.

Cool beans. Thank you. Yes indeed I got to watch for bugs when I introduce something new. Starting back over after a break, I forget. I forget then I forget again.

If I top dress I will probably use some soil I haven't used yet. The solution staring me in the face I didn't see until you mentioned it.

Ah man, have fun buddy. Work; well all I seem to be doing lately is farming the gardens. I'm actually sore today. Working too hard, time to go on vacation.

Yes on the Stonington blend. I have some but haven't tried it yet. I think I bought it for our outdoor gardens but after we mulched everything with a Coots mix soil my wife's plants are going wild.

She said to me today. "Our garden is really looking good. Its amazing since I haven't done hardly anything in 2 weeks."

I told her; "yup now yer gettin the idear."
Wife: "why because of the mulch?"

I top dress with Malted Barley then water in. Not that often but a few times. I usually add some at every up-pot with EWC and mycos. Top dress a few more times in flower with Malted Barley and mix with the top soil and water in.

right now the soil I'm using is in high gear. I'm not really doing anything but water.

I'm on the 8th round of flowers with the current soil. I do amend at up-pot every time.

EWC is key. If you wanna get it free, go to your local park that has a forest. Look for castings. I've been staying out of the woods this spring due to tick fvcks, I actually prefer mites than ticks. Well until I get mites ... shit they are everywhere outside right now too!

Another good reason to go on vacation. What do I have to worry about in Ontario?

My wife after the first plant was, hey the house doesn't smell like weed. hahahaha

Terpines are now circulating around my kitchen! Specially over by the fridge!:passitleft: it's time to puff and not worry about it. Too late to stop me now!
