Hey, Farmer looks like should work great,, high oxygenated waters for sure.. I was just doing a drive by.. Seen ya'll talking about the mykos, I use the granular also,, but I have a friend that treats' all his clones and it's a soild idea, he gets some wettable powder mykos or whoever's brand you use, mixes in a container whatever size works, and dips his transplants for afew seconds and transplants. He even adds granules in the holes for a extra kick.. Ya'll talking greek to me with the tea talk.. Hey I do know it orks,, I just never dabbeled in that area.. Unless you call throwing alittle compost, WP Mykos, and molasses in a bubbler for afew days.. I know thats a basic idea and there is alot more to it.. Well I just wanted to say you've been kicking out some fine looking buddage Mister BBrown,,, Keepem Green

2 row vs 6 row is how the Barley grows. The old school European versions... same kinda deal with Cannabis .. we humans have been working with Barley not as long as Cannabis but pretty long.

Here's the diff and its minor..

"The most obvious difference between a head of 2-row barley and a head of 6-row barley is the arrangement of the kernels when the head is viewed down its axis. ... In general, 6-row malted barley has more protein and enzyme content than 2-row malted barley, is thinner than two-row malt and contains less carbohydrate." OK confused...

We want more enzymes for our micro-herd in the soil.. for BEER 2 row is superior, and for ever in Europe thats all they use. Feed the 6 row to the animals ... not a bad thing, they eat the animals and make cheese and milk and all that deal so its a very very good thing. Nowadays there's not a lot of difference anyway .. In the US Coors buys up all the 2 row barley.. kinda sad since they should be making much better beer with primo inputs and if you go to Colorado I'm sure you can get the primo Coors ... food for thought there...eh?

In US we of course brew most of our beer with 6 row.

Weed Snob Alert:

I use the 2 row since it's what the Europeans use in their beer... if it's good'nuf for them well good'nuf for me, problem solved.

It should evoke a more peppery smell and berry flavor with the first puff... then followed by a nice drool... and silliness follows! Another problem solved...

Blaze you will be perfectly fine with the 2 row... it's what I use! Approved an promoted!

ok so how do I use it jus take a cup of them and into a gallon or two of ro and let brew for the night with the bubbler on or no?? or do I gotta sprout these and somthn else lol b4 I grind em lol sorry man not tryn to be all noobish again but I forgot how to do the corn sprout tea u told me about awhile back also I got from bas myko granular inoculum and ive been on bas site and it don't say how to use this stuff so I'm jus wondering if u cud help me out with that as well but yea thanx for all the help brotha and

Oh man the vortex has made life so easy. The aristone setup was a always a pain to clean. I made mine but its just the prototype. I'll make the V2 Saturday at the latest. Hope you don't mind if I post some pics.

I change up my inputs .. because.. mid flowers and LOTS of veg plants ... going with a little extra N.

Today's inputs:

1 handful Alafalfa meal + 2 handfuls of forest found worm castings + 1oz of ground up non-gmo organic malted corn + mycos... in bucket! FTW

I need a new pump ... I think mine is worn out its working but not getting a big vortex. Which pump are you using??

I've got some seedlings going and gave them some compost tea 1st time .. next day they were at least 2x the size. It was new soil so it needed the tea to charge it but I didn't think it would do all that... now they are 2x again doubled.. in like a week.

Ladies in flower room full... possible training needed. I'm getting some stretch past what was expected with the Citrus Berry... showing me some strong Kimbo traits... Hopefully going to be epic.

The .5 lbs per 100 sq ft .. that's like a few teaspoons maybe / container .... so yeah good result. Almost perfect actually.

That sounds great. Nice big brewer for all your plants and veggies. I have a small amount of plants so am trying to keep it small for the apartment. I'll have to look into malted corn! Your plants are looking gorgeous! Beautiful buds man.

I'm using the eco commercial 1 but i hear great things about elemental air pumps and that will be my next buy. From what I read with the eco commercial 1 one inch pipe is the biggest you can go, any bigger pvc and you'll need a bigger pump.

I know a while back you talked about using Gro-Kashi, I was wondering if you could share your methods? I picked up a bag and am ready to put it to use, was thinking of just sprinkling on the top.

Wonderful results bob! Those stretched tops are gonna make up for lovely bud sticks. Try to top or train them them some more you will utilize the lights better that way. You're gonna have some delicious nugs anyways! I'm interested how much my 5,5 gal of soil can produce with the Shark Shock CBD (you gotta try that one it's seriously frosty and smooth). The most I got from one was 130g. And then compare it to the 22 gal one How big are your pots? Thank you and have fun!

Thank you Rad... soil testing is kinda important like you said to validate what's going on. I don't use a lot of inputs/amendments and the main one being the important part, which is the humus ... EWC/Compost.. that's the part of the puzzle that is ever changing so good to know that what we have has everything the AG department looks for. I have a higher bar of course.

The AG department is geared towards farmers growing feed stock for animals = veggies, milk, meat and compost ... never forget the compost part of that puzzle! Think of it this way... IF the animals eat plants that are not nutritious (lack nutrients from the soil). Animals and plants feed humans, now humans don't have proper nutrients in our diets.... animals get sick first... then people starve....compost is missing nutrients and so on it goes..... Round ball.

Yes that's all you need to do. I sprinkle a nice coating on the surface of the soil that I just mixed up... in a large tote... add in some water and coat the top of the soil with the Grow-Kashi and cover. Let it sit for a week or so.. you will soon see a living soil right there... let all that grow out and it will subside... mix in, soil done. I will use that with plants at transplant going into flower. You can use the soil with plants that are hardened off ... 3+ weeks old.

Cannot use this fresh with seedlings...

Bigger pots bigger plants... I use 7gal or 26.5L AutoPots for flowering. Veg and flower for AUTOs I use #2 nursery pots 1.66gal or 6.31L... these are standard sizes here in the USA...(#2 nursery pots). I've switched over to #2 SQUARE pots.. more efficient use of lighting!

I will try that SS CBD... I've grown CBD strains and saved them for myself and my wife for teas and puffage. Recently none left...thanks for the tip.. I will try it... I've seen your plants KILLING it so wow! Thank you.

Oh yeah it's excellent puffage haha I wrote puffage It puffs alright and makes me happy. Last puffing so long because it's mighty frosty. I also found out that combined with JHerer it makes up for some great haha times and brings the sativa head high buzz lil down. The taste is earthy and woody with a hint of bad breath. Hey there BL, thanks for the kind words my friend... thank my camera for pretty pics... Very familiar with Dragonfly.. they are I think Myke approved? Meaning they get some of the mycos from Mykes... I found them somehow looking for mycos products.

That's the way to sell a product... list the ingredients with spore counts.. they are probably the best at listing specific ingredients with numbers to back it up than anyone I've seen really.

Read the label.. .if there's nothing on the label... well maybe there's not much in the container?? Food for thought!

Yes I have - here's the ingredient list = Bacterial culture (1%), pelletized alfalfa (2%), water (97%)

We make our own home made version of this with:

EWC - 1 cup (takes the place of the bacterial culture)
1/2 cup organic alfalfa meal (pelleted version is Rabbit/horse feed found at your local feed store)
2 tbs Kelp Meal
4 gal filtered water
1 tbs of BSM (black strap molasses)

Bubble over night ~24 hrs in a Homer bucket (or if you have a vortex brewer that's another method).

Water in... We do the above on a bi-weekly basis, 4 gallons is enough for all of our indoor and outdoor gardens.

Here's a little write up on how I transplant seedlings to either final containers or VEG pots.

I do 2 transplants with Photo period plants and 1 transplant of AUTO period plants.

PHOTO plants - seedling pot --> #2 nursery pot (1.66 gal) --> 7gal AutoPot XL

AUTO pants - seedling pot --> final pot #2 nursery pot (1.66 gal)

Here's how I transplant with minimal to no root ball damage, the plants just keep on going with little to no recovery needed.

First off before transplanting I will water the plants the day before with a good watering. This is so the root ball and surrounding soil will stay together when I pull the plant out of the old container.

First thing is the have the lager pot filled about 1/2 way with some new soil mix (I keep a container of freshly mixed soil on hand).


Next is, and this is the most important part - take a knife and run it around the soil all the way down into the pot to the btm and around the entire pot. This loosens up the root ball from the container.

Here's a pic with the knife ... I run it around the edge of the pot full 360 degrees or more.

Now take the smaller pot & set it on top of the new container and GENTLY pull on the stem... if you don't feel the root ball release right away, turn the pot slightly upside down and give it a little shake while pulling. The root ball should come out fully to almost fully intact. Like this:

Here is the fully intact root ball, I'm holding the plant by its main stem right at the soil line. You can see this plant is just starting to outgrow its current container. This is an AUTO plant about 20 days old. Time for some Mycos... sprinkle right on the roots and also some in the pot where the root ball will sit.

Put the root ball into the new container - fill in empty spaces around root ball and water. Done!

Here's a comparison of the smaller seedling pot to the #2 nursery pot

Same diameter but the #2 pot is square and much taller but takes up the same floor space as the seedling pot but 3x or more the amount of soil.

This is how I've been transplanting plants from container to container or to outdoors in the garden for as long as I can remember.

Sometimes its these very important procedures that are often overlooked or not talked about ... hopefully there's something here that will help anyone having challenges with transplanting. It's the little things that sometimes can help gardeners make growing easier and more rewarding.

Transplanting can get daunting at times for me say when I have a VEG plant that got HUGE for whatever reason... I follow these steps and it makes transplanting less stressful for me and more importantly, for the plants.
