Oh no...hotter but not terrible. Somewhere between a thai and a jalapeno in my opinion. I only tried one raw.

I topped up the girls last night. Everything is as it should be....boring. Well...my plants are thankfully boring. This morning was not. As I was walking out the door to go tend to...well *that* morning chore (poop...I needed to poop), the old-ass shelf next to it fell. On this shelf I have tons of curiosities like bat skeletons, lizard skulls, dried frogs...no...I'm not a witch. I just find weird shit beautiful and value any reminders of my own impermanence but yeah....lots of fragile irreplaceable stuff.
Also on that shelf was my favorite film camera (Pentax 6x7). Somehow in my weed-hangover, pre-coffee, eye goobered state my left arm caught fucking shelf and saved everything except for my little lego landspeeder (one of the front guns popped off )
Calm your proverbial tits, 2021....we're not having a repeat of the last few years, ok?!
The tent smells like full-on roasting coffee now. It hurts me in the desire part of the brain....they smell soo so so good. Yesterday I was doing a little defol and the man came in and said he knew I was hacking on the ladies because the smell just permeates everything. We both love it.
So for those who don't feel like going back to the first few pages, lemme give you a little background:
The left plant has had the easiest of lives. She's never really given me an issue.
The right plant? Bless her heart she almost got tossed. I totally messed up on her first topping and removed 1/2 the seedling at the 4th node. She came back. I then up potted her rockwool cube into coco and shoved the whole affair in the net pot. WELL....coco can fit through net pots...I know I know...shocker! So now Righty gets repotted into hydroton. SHE CAME BACK AGAIN.
Fast forward to now: SEE? She's so much beefier. I know to a point stress can cause that but I think that dumb brood warmer might have something to do with it? Whether it's the red light or the warmth, I need to keep it in mind for the next indoor grow.
Measuring for future reference. Can I use an analog light meter here? I have a ton. I assume there's a conversion for going from exposure time and aperture to at least foot candles? I know PAR needs its own meter BUT....yeah.

Uncertain about an analog light meter, but a cheap $20 lux meter works. Cell phone light meter apps have been show to be wildly inaccurate.

I asked about 420 swag last year (I believe on the thread where the free stickers can be had) and 420 mag response was that they were working on an order but they are short staffed so didn’t know when it would actually happen (or something like that). Not sure if they will have basic shit like you describe, it I would love some swag too!

Alrighty....everything is happy. I keep dropping my light an inch each day. We're at 7" as of a few moments ago. Give me a reason why I shouldn't be doing this? Am I lowering my quality or yield in some unseen way?
The plants show zero signs of light-stress. I kinda want to see some since my SF2000 is at 100%. >.>

3rd-ish week of flower with 3-4 left according to the breeder. I think I need more wind next time. My outdoor plants face routine 20mph+ winds with gusts frequently up towards gale forces. These buds look so small and frail. It's freaking me out. Am I messing something up?
Shouldn't they be bigger by now no matter what strain?

@Zayah had asked about my setup so here it is:
- Bottom-most is a white 5-gallon bucket I've painted.
- Next is the lid to the bucket with a 6" net pot popped into the lid
- Inside of the net pot is an onion bag, coco, and hydroton (this was an oops)
- On top of that I begin trying to correct my poor planning:
- Styrofoam to LST to AND block light, as well as mylar to further block light.
- Pipe cleaners hold stuff down

Just caught up, where to start....
I'm really happy that you and your man found peace with these magical plants. It's a touching story and i hope you guys continue to reap the benefits. I rarely drink anymore. I don't like how it makes me feel if i overdo it, and if i have too much I just make a dick of myself.
You mentioned about hitting the bong when you had some pain. My partner and her mother suffers with endometriosis, so i spent the best the best part of 18months growing CBD for them. My partner's quality of life and general mood has improved greatly. She still indulges in THC too, but uses CBD more regularly for chronic pain. Without weed they'd both be using pharma drugs, and some of those have really nasty side effects. If i win the light form Mars i'll be donating half of my lights to her Mother for her own set up. Hopefully they legalise it in this country soon though so it won't be necessary for people to go through the trouble of having to grow it themselves if they aren't able, or worse, buy street weed.

And that new camera - holy smokes! Amazing pictures. You can actually see the trichomes clearly enough to determine their colour. Incredible!

Got both buckets EC exactly the same first try! Woo! Also I fiddled with my flower nutes a bit...upped some stuff. I feel like I can get a little more into them before harvest comes. We shall see.
Other than that nothing new. Light is now at 6" @ 100% power....plants seem fine.
Anyone try keeping an LED full spectrum grow light this close?
Finally checked on the forgotten clones...trimmed them back to maybe get the new shit to do something:

A Lux meter is an inexpensive ($20) and nifty device to have. Height is all relative to power. Over 60k lux I find I get light stress, so I try to keep it around 55k in bloom. Here is a link on how to use a lux meter in your grow room.
