Also what happens when rh hits ideal % ? Does it keep losing rh if I forget about it for a bit ? That's my main worry really?

It's my understanding that the rh regulator is built into the bag's polymer material. I don't know if that's the case but they seem to hold at around 58-60% rh for quite a while if they are at the proper rh when bagged.

I've had some in Groves for over a year and they're still quite nice!

Hmm it must be good then,I just being paranoid lol. I have never even heard anyone complain about it !! Gonna grab a small one n a hygro see how it grows...
