they're just starting week 12 from popping their heads out then on day 16-20 i bent them over 90 degrees to basically turn them all into a main cola it tricks the plant thinking it has no main cola so it sends out auxins to the rest as a main cola & some are more dominate than others so will stretch a bit more & some will be fatter than others the main stock will always try to get back to the top but i just keep tying it down but eventually will just start ripping the pot where its anchored but by then the rest are usually quite a bit taller, as for yield i'm not sure the smallest plant the MCM probably 4-5 zip & the rest i'm hoping for 5-10+ oz each, my biggest auto to date was a tad under 10 oz i'm hoping to set a new record with this grow some of these strains are crossed with a XXL auto plant but i think the sunshine mix #4 straight peat is playing a major role in their sizeYea these are crazy I was checking out autos and was told to stop by n fr I'm glad I did,. I have not seen a auto do that before Is this 10/11 wks from sprout right ? That crazy, what u expecting off all this ?? And those really big nuggz that stretch above the main canopy are those the main stems bending back up and still growing that talk or is it just a shoot that got better light ?
autos can be done in 8 weeks or longer depends on your grow medium i'm using peat which is considered a soilless medium/passive hydroponics & pot size & enviroment & whether you grow straight up, top, etc plus i think i lenthen the veg period with stress at the right time just when entering pre flower @Jon grows straight up with a couple different training style & gets some big assed plants his some times run 8 weeks to 16-17 weeksOk nice, so is 16 wks is about max on any given auto ? Would those times change if I was to topp them ? And how does cloning an auto differ from a photo if at all ? I have a short veg room but a big flower room,I could use this method to take advantage of my space and move them thru faster if I was to switch to autos..but that doesn't mean I would get anything like your autos,is it forgiving to a small learning curve?
Wait so the finish time can very from 8wks to 16wks!! That's a huge margin! I yea I have one to go thru Jon's grow was recommended him aswell tyautos can be done in 8 weeks or longer depends on your grow medium i'm using peat which is considered a soilless medium/passive hydroponics & pot size & enviroment & whether you grow straight up, top, etc plus i think i lenthen the veg period with stress at the right time just when entering pre flower @Jon grows straight up with a couple different training style & gets some big assed plants his some times run 8 weeks to 16-17 weeks
cloning a auto is not that great cause they are on a shorter clock & will flower when they want or programmed to they usually don't have the time to build roots then veg & flower, & the times get longer a bit not much if you top or remove a lot of leaves or branch's they are not as forgiving as a photo period where you can control when it flowers with auto flowers there is no flipping to a 12 hour light schedule its 18 on & 6hrs off or i'm running 19hrs 5 off some go 20 on 4 off & some go a straight 24hrs onOk nice, so is 16 wks is about max on any given auto ? yeah if the breeder says 8 weeks it might be done in 8 weeks but they usually are growing in a 3 gal pot & you're not going to have the same soil nutes & enviroment so its usually one or 2 weeks longer, lots of variables grow medium pot size style of grow what type of training, i've had autos done in about 8 weeks but usually 8-12 weeks & one or two that took 16-17 weeksWait so the finish time can very from 8wks to 16wks!! Oohhh ok so it's a seed only for autos. No flower is very beneficial,I could have multiple grow rooms instead of one veg n one flower. What would you recommend in terms of a light cycle if I'm going for yield ?cloning a auto is not that great cause they are on a shorter clock & will flower when they want or programmed to they usually don't have the time to build roots then veg & flower, & the times get longer a bit not much if you top or remove a lot of leaves or branch's they are not as forgiving as a photo period where you can control when it flowers with auto flowers there is no flipping to a 12 hour light schedule its 18 on & 6hrs off or i'm running 19hrs 5 off some go 20 on 4 off & some go a straight 24hrs on
Thank you kindly Stunger, you're more than welcome to check it out i been LSTing since i started growing some are nice & short with a nice even canopy & some stretch out crazy stupid i have all sizes this growHey Con, so sorry to hear of Brent's passing, wishing you and your family all the best for his massive loss.
@Carmen Ray has kindly pointed me to your thread as my grow this year will be restricted to autos and I need to use LST, topping or super cropping to restrict their height to ensure 'stealthiness'. So I'll be back to take a deeper look to how you approach such training. Cheers.
i like 19 on & 5 off i see most growth at lights off for some reason & i think plants need sleep & i figure grow medium & good lights are a major factor for yield i'm seeing bigger plants in this peat than when i was using FF happy frog soil but pulled some nice yields with the soil 5-9+ozOohhh ok so it's a seed only for autos. that would be a good option also & more forgiving than a autoAnother option would be to run photo Fastbuds? This will allow you to train/top in veg to set them up how you want, then flip for a quick flower?
Hey @MedScientist if that is meant for me, the trouble is that I will be beginning my grow outside after the summer solstice (due to house painting work) so I don't have the ability to 'flip' when I want, hence the only grow that I think I can get away with this year will be autos. Thanks.Another option would be to run photo Fastbuds? This will allow you to train/top in veg to set them up how you want, then flip for a quick flower?
? What's a fast photo ?Another option would be to run photo Fastbuds? This will allow you to train/top in veg to set them up how you want, then flip for a quick flower?
5 to 9 z per plant at 8 to 16 is very nice tho, photos at least double that if they small triple if normal. Lots of possibilities w thati like 19 on & 5 off i see most growth at lights off for some reason & i think plants need sleep & i figure grow medium & good lights are a major factor for yield i'm seeing bigger plants in this peat than when i was using FF happy frog soil but pulled some nice yields with the soil 5-9+oz
But it's probly closer to 8 wks realistically most often ?5 to 9 z per plant at 8 to 16 is very nice tho, photos at least double that if they small triple if normal. Lots of possibilities w that
This will get you really confused they have semi-auto now alsoBut it's probly closer to 8 wks realistically most often ?
a fast flowering photo period its supposed to have a shorter flowering time once flipped? What's a fast photo ?
if you want only 1 big plant in your tent but i like a lot of different strains for different flavors & effects some PPL get a pound or more off a auto like i said all depends on strain Nutes & grow medium lights a auto grown in coco coir will be huge compared to one grown in soil then there is straight hydroponics swicks auto pots coco peat soil ebb & flow so many different ways to grow the 2 biggest autos i have now could produce 7-16+oz, what medium are you planning on growing in & what size pot? what kind of nutes?5 to 9 z per plant at 8 to 16 is very nice tho, photos at least double that if they small triple if normal.
