Cons Indoor Auto Soil Grow 3.1

Ah! Hadn’t seen his! Thanks! I’m always looking to add new tricks to the book. I actually have a journal of tricks like these. You never know when you might need one.
And Happy New Year @Carmen Ray!

Out of Solos with autos I think the latest I ever uppotted was day 17. They’ll hold together after about ten days in coco, soil takes longer. Hold together is one thing. Uppotted with those thick roots around the outside is another. I used to wait until when Emilya taught me to, which was, when the vessel drains all the water 100% and is completely dry and light in 24 hours you uppot. Now I don’t wait that long. I believe uppotting like that actually costs you a day or two with autos. When the roots are all wrapped tight around the root ball when you uppot, like most people do, it takes the roots some time to unfurl and loosen and start to invade the new medium. If you uppot early, like as soon as the root ball will stay fully together and before there’s a ring of roots around the outside, that time is eliminated. The roots just keep growing out as if they don’t even know they got uppotted. I think this is why when I uppot my plant is back to praying in a couple hours. Just my take on it. Happy 2024.
Auto’s have always been a mystery to me and any knowledge gained could help if I ever decide to run any. CL🍀. :thanks:

well 2 hit the dirt today the Alien vs Triangle & Gelato x Purple Punch, seemed to go well ripped a couple roots while removing from the cup but hopefully they'll be ok & sprinkled in some Dynomyco into the holes, a couple more to hit the dirt in a day or 2, & yes they are not centered i off set them cause the ultimate goal is to have them grow around the pot edge back to itself one day i'll acheive this

I was curious about your soil, do you reuse, mix your own or buy new? CL🍀. :thumb: :cheer:

I reuse ♻️ last year’s FFHF +FFOF and add organic garden lime. I also add some bokashi, frass and @DYNOMYCO. CL🍀. :thanks:

forgot to mention i added 30 grams of Dynomoco to each pot also
Forgot to mention that I cut up about 50% of last year’s roots that’s been decaying in it. But now I’m wondering if it will cause any issues? Idk fingers crossed 🤞 it won’t. CL🍀.

i heard someone mention that, supposed to help regrow the Dynomyco

Nice roots! I find that if I cut longer holes (so there are 4 holes with the same length plastic between them) along the bottom edges of my clear cups it makes it easier to slide the roots out on transplant.
i'll be sure to do that next time around there are 4 fairly large holes, i think it was the Gorilla Glue that had a golf ball size of dirt fall off in the middle when i removed it & unsure if any more roots got hurt (was sweating bullets doing it) but the next ones up will be a bit better, seem to be doing alright now but i'll see how they look in the morning & will let the soil dry a bit more

They’re like $200 but worth it. Plus the calibration stuff. Ph is all I care about really.

Well not all. But you get me.

That’s a heap of Dynomyco! Keffka eill use just a few grains and says he reuses colonies of it grow to grow which I think was what @CaptainLucky was trying to remember I think?

Yes, it is a good idea to leave some root material in the soil when reusing it. It breaks down and provides carbon to the soil mix, and the mycos remain in the soil for the next round. I've learnt this primarily from Gee but the others also do it. Good practice. Also, they do say it is a waste to use heaps of mycos. A dusting is all that is necessary they say.

im really liking this new PH meter i just picked up it seems to be more accurate than the vivosun 4 in 1, yeah 30 grams of Dnomyco i just wanted to make sure i had enough, & yes that is where i seen it from & probably what CL is trying to do

both survived the night & are looking good this morning so over they go, a little yoga & no problems

Woah - some neatness and bravery on display there! Mad respect man! Showing & Co that for sure. Keep telling her to be a bit earlier on the training and there’s a couple of great shots there.

I mean I can’t do it. I’ll cry and worry about hurting the plant! Softy me. She however, that’s cool. Cheers bro.
