Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

Yep 18 week of flowering + 6 weeks of transition and she was about 4” tall :)

Hey I got alot of catching up to do.. Things here are kind of crazy right now.. Hope all's going good in the gardens..

Everything good over here. I’m catching a breath before September. These few outdoor plants I have are a breeze to grow. I just finished drying the Ciskei pollen, next week I’m gonna go and make some seeds.

Ciskie F2s?

Speaking of which, did you make CG F2s back when you were growing it? That would be a nice line to work.

what are you making this time?:)

Reproduce Ciskei and make a test cross with UD to check what smell is passed on by the male.

Technically it’s further inbreeding, so you can’t even speak of F2... it’s more like F100-200, who knows?

Well African sativa so euphoric and uplifting apparently :)

Ah, true true.

That UD cross should be interesting. I bet it really ramps up the potency.

I'm sure it will. It's gonna be the first time for me to use UD mother as well, which is just another experiment as far as I'm concerned.

ive heard that to my knowledge ive not had any African yet so that's why im going to try growing some ive got some Durban and a Malawi soaking rite now and a y griega to that griega seed is tiny if you dropped it you'd never find it lol!:)

So you're in for a ride. I hope these plants turn out well for you. Remember, that they use way less nitrogen and potassium in comparison with hybrids, so go easy on the nutes.

ive been reading about that :)the reason for adding more plain soil weaken it up some and I don't use nutes except organic additives and I will go easy!

I need some help here guys with 2 plant problems.
I've gown with minimum problems for 10 years for the most part, but lately my plants have been struggling.
I use amended soils and never phed my water or nutes till this WW plant. I never even tested the water till now.
My tap water is 8+/- so I figured that might be the problem when a plant struggles.
I phed the water and this is what started and has snowballed.
I should have taken pics this morning before I pulled the really bad leaf that were like the ones in the pics, only the tip inch or so was a very rusty color, I mean it really looked line iron rust.
I flushed a few days ago with tap water and it didn't seem to slow things down so I ran a few gallons of distilled through her today. Any Ideas?

And number 2 problem is this Skywalker OG at 19 days. The bottom starter leaf were yellowing yesterday so I pulled them and gave a light watering with nutes and today this! I think maybe heat stress in the veg closet, it is between 85 and 92 during the day and I'm using cfl's.
My "Oh no I hope not" guess is Tobacco Virus.
The older plant if there is a nice healthy green.

Both situations look like Calcium deficiency. The brown spots on the first and the twisting of the leaves on the second. There are several factors that can hinder the uptake of calcium from humidity in the air, to too much P or S, or a cation imbalance. I've also read people having their Ca locked out due to PH issues in hydro. I have both symptoms in my grow, though I am certain mine Ca def stems from too much ammonium (a cation). Calcium flows through the zylem with nitrate, so look for a Calmag supplement that is rich with nitrate (NO3-). Also, do your best to ensure your microbe colonies in your soil remain robust and active. Your microbes will ensure the soil has an adequate supply of ions to feed the roots.

After looking at your pics again, it looks like the first one (the grown plant in bloom), it looks like it had a Cal def weeks ago as the damaged leaves appear to only be in the middle area of the plant. Ca is an immobile nute, so when deficient, it will happen at the top of the plant. Mobile deficiencies start at the bottom. I am confident (but not certain) that both are Ca deficiencies.

TY Skybound

Shes in used amended Black Gold. Week 3 she got a tea, week 4 Roots Buddhas, then a few days later a few spots, then one week another tea then way worse on the spots. then the 2 flushes.
The only difference in the tea was I normally use Dr Earth but this time I used Happy Frog since that's what I ammended the soil with. I amended my friends the same way and his plants are nice shiny green.
Should I give her another flush with some cal/mag or just feed her regular? I have Botinacare CalMag.

The small one is in ProMix Organic and just got fed Roots yesterday. She might get up potted tomorrow.

Botanicare Calmag will be perfect. 5ml/Gal looks like a good mild dose of everything so it shouldn't upset anything, especially the N in your bloom plant. If I were you though, I'd focus on building a good microbe program in your soil as calcium and phosphorus can easily get locked up in colloidal form and the microbes will break them back apart and get them into the plant as needed. I'm a hydro guy and am too inexperienced in soil to properly advise, but Con's thread is about the best place one can find on 420 to learn about soil and microbes and such.

idk but I used some of that happy frog on some outside garden plants and it was crap they did shit just saying!

Thanks again. I figured I'd get good advice here.

I have some microbes I'll toss in there too.

I had the Happy Frog from last winter when the local store was out of DrEarth.
DrEarth has been my go to nute for years. In the soil and for teas.
