Congrats! I Have Twins! Two Plants From One Seed, Part One

Re: Congrats! I Have Twins! Two plants from one seed

Hey GodsTrichome :thumb:

Thought I would look in and see what's going on. Fine grow you have here.
Watch out for THsea he has a way of making friends with folks very fast. He was a great help to me with my grows before he moved away. A brilliant young man he is. :Namaste:

I hate to be the one to say it, But! You need to split that double sprout up, if you can. I've had two of them before. In one pot they will fight with each other for everything. What happens is that both together you will get less production than one plant alone. I grew one of mine out and that is what happened. :yikes::yikes: The longer you wait the more their roots will be entangled.
Of course I can understand you wanting to keep it together, it is beautiful. :)

Thank you kindly my friend, to hear that from someone like you means I must be doing something right. I am just an old country boy, growin to stock my meds, and my mother and father's, who has a whole list of ailments that are medicated very well by this gift from God. And yes, I like old THSea, seems to be a really good felllow. I am making some really good friends here, and hope to be as good a friend as yall are to me.
I know your right about splitting them up, but thought it would be different to grow them out together, I like to think outside the box, it has helped me to some wonderous things. My main interest in this anomally is to single out that trait and produce a strain that has twins often, or almost everytime...I may take a vote and ask all the readers, maybe one of you veterans to the processes here can help me set it up and promote it...:thumb:

Re: Congrats! I Have Twins! Two plants from one seed

Hey GodsTrich! I found my way here and glad I did! Very nice journal you have going and congrat's on the twins. I have to agree with OMM on splitting them up being the best option, but again, I certainly understand your desire to grow them out as-is. My fear would be that one plant would dominate and the other would die. Then, because the roots are entangled, you could risk root rot. This is really all speculation on my part, since I've never dealt with twins and certainly wish you luck in keeping them healthy. I'm sub'd for the rest! :welldone:

Thanks my friend!!:yahoo: Yes, I think I'm gonna go ahead and split them up today, I don't want to risk the root-rot, although I have grown out several plants together that were sprouted from accidentally dropping two seeds...Doesn't seem to matter too much outdoors, guess there's plenty of room when you dig a 3'wide x 3'deep hole and LST them...But:bravo:, since this grow is gonna be indoors, due to the fact I am dedicating my outside area to replenishing seed stock and breeding, I am gonna split these two ladies(fingers crossed) into two pots, being sure to keep them close by, as we know how twins hate to be seperated!!
And thanks for subbing, I have another journal going on right now also, getting close to harvest...Auto AK47 x Auto NYC Diesel RoorRip

Re: Congrats! I Have Twins! Two plants from one seed

Update: At just over a week old, the Twins went into emergency surgery today, destined to be seperated and not siamese twins anymore, hopefully able to live out seperate, abundantly fruitful, and successful lives. Dr. Weed McWacker came out and said the surgery went fine, and all we have to do now is wait through the recovery time. But he said that "Everything went well" and he is "very optimistic about the recovery" We are praying for God to encamp his angels around them and keep them safe!!:bravo: Everyone please lend your prayers and good cheer.:Namaste:

Twins?! Cool - sending you good vibes and hoping that they'll both prosper separately. I like the plant you had that naturally split, too. How do you end up with such interesting plants? :)

Update:
Good morning my little angels, are you feeling better?
And they both reply, in true twin fashion " Yes father! Great! What's for breakfast?"

There are many seed carries that are sponsors of our website!

Single-seeds is a good one! They all provide discrete shipping and multiple payment options for your safety and piece of mind.

Good to here the babies are doing well GT! Also, since the seed bank of Certain-Mental-Outlook isn't a sponsor any longer, your entry may be edited if a mod sees it. No biggie, but they try to promote our sponsors over other companies...
