Thanks. I checked the trichs last night(day 50). I did see some cloudy trichs but no amber yet. I will keep you posted.

Thank you! There isn't any side growth to cut off because the 4-6 inch clone goes straight from the cloner, into a hempy pot, then into a 12/12 light cycle and with the plants being packed in so tightly, the side branches never get a chance to develop which is exactly what I want anyway. Many people call it 'lollipopping" or "lollying".

Hello everyone,

Today is day 50 for the originals. Here's some shots of the plants. As harvest approaches I am left wondering how many grams each pant will yield on average. I'm hoping to be in the 12-17gram range per SOG plant. Any guesses as to what each plant may average?

Looking very nice, it is hard to tell from the pick to get an accurate guess on the weight, not like I would get an accurate guess if the plants were directly in front of me. But my guess is 25 to 28 grams per plant. Bless

I hope sonzor is right but I just don't see it.

Xare grew the same setup under a 600 and averaged 16.8 grams per plant. To be honest, I'd be tickled with 15 per, so lets set the over/under at 15 grams per plant.

I'm always the pessimist so I'm guessing between 13-14 grams per but I'm hoping for more.

Here's a picture I just took for some scale. We're at day 50 so they've got another 20 days to fatten up before I chop them.

I'd like to get everyones predictions.

First let me say that it looks absolutely great and I only hope to be able to have my ladies look that good in the future, problem in Nevada is the stupid plant limit...You are only limited to 3 mature and 4 vegetating so I'm trying to find a plant that can really grow big quick and produce at least 3-4 oz. per run but I'm really new to all of this...I have a 1000 watter but just need to get the kinks worked out...Now about you, I would guess 20-22grams per so I can't wait to see. Just from the size of my last Auto that was around that size with a few side branches it got chose to 2 ozs and I think yours pack a little more mass too!! Good luck and I look forward to seeing the results along with the rest of the followers....I wish this silly law would at least allow 25 plants, around 12 flower and 12 veg, that would help out with all of the silly mishaps newbies have too!!:thumb::thumb:

simply beautiful man. the defoliation looks like its really paying off in size. That one on the far left looks super fat already. Can't wait to see some final numbers.

hey ppl new here, just wondering, is it different for hydro, because im running soil, and ive been told with those same lights, it is not good to cram the girls, as they will be fighting eachother for light, but more like a 2/3 of what is possible to fit. thus leaving enough battle field to fight in. if it make sense. but that helped me understand it better. dont KNOW REALLY for sure, as ive also come to know tht everyones situation is different, something as simple as sea level can throw ones opinions far away from anothers thats in a totay different surrounding. just thought id share though!! loving the setup btw. i cant wait to become as seasoned as your thumb, im only on my third crop. as they were trial and error for me. this next one i will be posting if the administration lets me. hope to be here for a while.

it can be done in soil, I'm doing something similar in soil right now, although I have only 1 2L bottle, the others are in 1gal pots. The 2L bottle clone is doing really well so far, so I don't see why not.

I just read your DIY Cloner thread, sorry if I missed it but what light cycle do you run for the clones and what lighting are you using? Are you still just using ph'd tap water? Thank you.

Me too. I have 9 of them going, the only thing I am doing different is I only defoliated 2 of the 9 because these clones are the first batch of the 3 strains I have so they are going through flower to make sure their mothers arent hermies. But as far as the 2 liters with soil, thats what I got them in and so far so good, its actually day 21 in flower with them. Once/if these make it through without any form of nads or bugs....its on.

BlueDog, I set my cloner bucket off to the side of my T5, it gets about as much light as if it were on the floor with a CFL light bulb, so its really not much light. The schedule is on 18/6 so it gets 18hrs of semi-dim light and 6 of darkness. I don't even ph my tap water. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since the are just forming roots, they don't take anything but water in so ph shouldn't really be an issue. My tap water is around 7.5ph too and I root in a week consistently. Not sure what 420fied is using, but just wanted to share my experience with you as well

Thank you TheCrimson! I appreciate you taking the time, I'm trying to find out what as many successful cloners as possible are doing so I can upgrade my process.

Very weak 18/6 lighting seems like a popular option which makes me think there's a good reason for that! :peace:

yeah the weak lighting even though its weak will keep them in veg due to the schedule, but the lack of lumen's will promote them to make roots rather than conduct photosynthesis. Lighting is never an important step in my cloning, it never has been, I just keep it to the side of my veg area.

Honestly, I had very poor cloning success before I built the cheap aero cloner. I really don't know what I was doing wrong, my cuttings would never wilt unless the cubes dried out, and there were times they would sit for 3 weeks and when I pulled them they didn't have a sign of rooting happening. My success was around 60-70%. Now its 100% every time and I've had 3 rounds in the aero cloner so far and thats cloning 3 different strains.

I have them under a T5 which is on 24/7 but I have a canopy over them which blocks the light because I don't want the clones to slip into photosynthesis. The T5 stays on because my mothers are under it as well. Yes, I am still using ph'd tap water.

Thanks for the kind words. You can cram them in close if you defoliate them. It doesn't hurt them when you defoliate them.
