Come on folks let's see your veg plants! Here's some for ya

These clones were planted in the ebb and flow pots on 12/9/22

They were topped once around Christmas.

January 15th, 2023, 9AM
Reservoir Addition
6 gallons RO
30 ml Micro/Bloom
100 ml Hydroguard
EC 0.9
pH 5.97

The reservoir was down 3.5 inches today so I did the above. This is after the rez was changed on 1/11 with 30 gallons RO and the addition of nutrients, Micro/Bloom, Cal/Mag and Hydroguard.
Will be going into flower soon.

35 day since the clones were put in the ebb and flow buckets. They were retied down yesterday and have responded well. They need another round of trimming up the bottom and inside the canopy, early the next week.'
This is a low growing strain, my buddy whom I got the clones from started his into flower in mid November. He should be harvesting in a week or two. Here is EW's LSD.

i thought the hydro was to make them grow fast... dont seem faster then my bags and drain to waste..

can you give me a bunch of reason why i should try that method out?

i got 2 bad backs.. mine looks like less work

Nice grow buddy,
I'm not trying to get you to use this method.
This is my first attempt at using this grow method. I have been growing in Smart Pots with coco/perlite for years and wanted a change.
I am seeing the plants growing faster in the ebb and flow than most of my coco grows.
Your plants look great BTW, and are very healthy.

This is not a pissing contest and everyone's grows are different.
If you want to try a different growing system I would recommend ebb and flow.

30 gallon reservoir, I top it off with RO and nutrients every few days (plan to build a replenishing reservoir soon). Using the Torus XpH system, don't have to adjust the pH daily. I have changed the reservoir out on average every 17 to 21 days, at the end of rez cycle I dump the rez and clean the drum, and refill. On average I add 3 gallons about every two to three days, so total water usage is 50 or so gallon per rez cycle. In the old D/W coco system I was making a new 27 gallon rez every 5 days or so using the 20% runoff rule which is a total of 100+ gallon over the same period.
I can see where issues may arise, ie, pump's (air or water) going out, and the main issue is, if one plant gets root issues then they all are going to have root issues. So keeping a clean system is a must, but this is an issue with all Hydroponic system, including coco. Cleaning the Hydroton is a bitch, I may just add it to the compost system and buy new Hydroton for each new grow. Hopefully I will figure out a good method for cleaning. Just had someone make a recommendation to bake the Hydroton to dry it out and use a screen to knock off the dried roots. That sounds like a plan.
Overall I am please with this grow method, not for everyone but for this old man it is much easier than growing in Coco.

thanks for info ..

I've been growing for about 8 years. In one of my most recent plants (a Black Domina Feminized seed), I noticed it looked a little odd after it was about 18" tall. It had a very tough start as a seedling. It came out of the ground with 2 dicot leaves and then slowly grew only one very small leaf for the longest time (about 3 weeks). After that it grew a couple more single leaflets. It started growing more normally at this point until I noticed the odd symmetry. Looking at the main stem I noted that instead of each node having 2 fan leaves and two branches, each node has 3 fan leaves and 3 branches. This progresses from the base to the top of the main growing stem (see picture below, sorry for the quality, I'm not that good at taking pics). This does not however continue in this manner on the side branches. These appear to be growing normally. I just noted the development of pistols on this girl, so I'll have to keep a look out to see what happens during flowering. Has anyone else seen this before. It's a new one to me.

Here's my vegging garden pics. 3 plants growing from seeds that I made last year from a home grown Mulanje male.

Left most plant Mulanje x Mango Sherbert,
Middle plant Mulanje x (Malawi/Ethiopian x Mulanje),
Right most plant Mulanje x Purple Honduras x Panama

From side on they don't look much as all 3 are short and less than 18 inches tall.

But when view from above, the left most is 3.5 feet at it's widest, and the other two are 4 feet at their widest.

Another view taken from the side window shows there is not a lot of room left on the balcony.
It must be getting time to flip them. ;)

I am running a journal on this grow so if anyone interested, please check out the link in my sig.
