Colorado High - Soil - CFL - Super Skunk - 2013

I wanted to comment on the very sativa-looking leaves, too.

Like a master pianist's fingers, they are long and lanky. I just hope they're strong and danky when the time comes. :tokin:

If we have a growers get-together here in SW colorado, we may have a good place to do it. A local grower has some acreage where people could hang out, smoke, and enjoy. :D

I will be working on a gathering of some kind...

I lst my plants a week after first pistil sighting, but I run 12/12 from seed.

Day 60 since the start of germination and what I thought was nutrient burn on the lower small leaves, the last 2 photos of my previous update, turned out to be the beginnings of N-deficiency. When I first noticed this damage on the lower small leaves of the side shoots I thought it might be N-deficiency but I could not find any evidence of it anywhere on the rest of the plant so I figured it must be nutrient burn rearing its ugly head again. Now it is quite obvious that both plants, to varying degrees, are suffering from N-deficiency as both plants have leaves yellowing throughout the plant instead of just in the lower areas. To that end, I feed them a total of one half gallon of D&S Growology Step 2 & molasses both mixed in at 1 Tbsp/gallon. Next week's photo update should have them looking better than they did last week.

Hey I had same thing happened to me this week. Temps got to cold (was -16 outside) and wet medium with cold temps locks out nitrogen. Looks like nutrient burn with the yellowing tips but leaves will rapidly yellow and dry up. I just gave them a boost in nitrogen and they coming back strong. By tomorrow will be totally green again.

Day 62 since the start of germination has now become Day 1 of Flowering. The plants are now 12" and 8" in height and during my daily check a few minutes ago, I saw tiny pistils on both plants! :woohoo: I have double and triple-checked them and they are indeed ladies. Unbelievable, out of the first 7 plants I've grown, all but one have been females. Needless to say I'm beyond estatic with this latest development. I'm switching the lighting over to flowering tonight which will be their first night with 12 hours of dark. I will give them a few days to adjust and then I will post a full picture update.

We are eagerly awaiting the new pictures arrival ;)

Day 3 of flowering and the environmental changes for flowering have been put into place. I switched most of the CFLs over to 2700K, I left the top CFL in each corner, which are 5000Ks, for now until I switch them out for the 10% UVB CFLs. I'm now running 25,200 lumens/418 watts @ 2700K and 6,400 lumens/92 watts @ 5000K. I removed the supplemental CO2 as well as the CO2 monitor. The temperatures range between 60° during lights off to around 85° during lights on while the RH ranges between 20% and 65% throughout the day.

It does appear that indica dominant strains reach sexual maturity right around 8 weeks under GLR, nearly to the day for both of my grows. I've not fed/watered since last Saturday and will wait a few more days before I start with D&S Growology Step 3. Although these ladies are only 1"-2" behind in height from where my last grow was at this stage, I'm really hoping that they excel and flourish under Step 3 without any of the issues that plagued them during vegging.

Day 6 of flowering and the ladies are pretty much at a stand still, and have been for over a week now, with no significant increase in height. There are various issues with the leaves, some are progressively showing N-deficiency, others have a mottled/speckled light green coloring between the veins, some leaves are droopy, other are kayaking, it's a mess. So before I get that far into flowering and using D&S Growology Step 3, I flushed each lady with 5 gallons of room temperature, dechlorinated water. I'm going to let them dry out over the next week or so and see how they react. If all goes well, I will resume the feed/water program once they have dried out.

the flush was a good idea. I would have suggested adding lemon, but now that you've flushed already let em dry out!

I use a real lemon and I cut it in half and I do half per the biggest bucket you got. grind it up real good, could even use a cheese grater. you can taste the water and if it doesn't shock you too bad, it won't shock the plant too much ;)
