Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

MrGreene..........you didn't pollinate the entire plant did you? Entertain the idea of harvesting buds that you did not pollinate (if they're ready to go) and leave the pollinated parts of the plant still on the plant for as long as you can.

I've been watching the NL X DDA plant for any problems, hermies etc and happy to say not seeing anything bad. Something I've been noticing is how the new leaves grow out. When they are growing out they have been going through a period of what I have to call clawing for lack of a better phrase. Sort of like a fern if you know what I mean. The leaves look like this for a couple weeks and then straighten out and look normal. Anyone else experience with with any of your plants?

Oh, and it's just in one section on the plant. That area just below where the main cola starts up.

I wouldn't have a clue where to look and as long as it's healthy I won't worry about it. Usually I post something here and you, Penny answer any questions.

I only pollinated a couple of branches. I've been tempted to start the harvest. Maybe I'll check trichs in the next day or so to make sure. The seeds should need till after Christmas I think.

Earlier I posted, or at least think I did about how slow the Colombian Gold seeds are maturing.

See I didn't know that about the sativas and the length of time it takes their seeds to mature. Learn something new every day.

I woke this morning to find 7" of snow and ice had fallen overnight. To give you an idea, that's more snow then we've had the last 2 winters combined. I do not own a snow shovel(do own a flat shovel), but knew I needed to make a path for the wife and pups to get to the woods and once there I needed to shovel a clear area for them to do their business. That done I had to go all around the property knocking the ice/snow combo off the azalea and rhododendron bushes and the painted plants that were bent over threatening to snap. It was a refreshing 2.5 hours spent outside in the now sleet and freezing rain that's coming down.

I was a Boy Scout!! So "Be Prepared" always stuck with me.

While feeding the Colombian Gold plant a bit ago I decided to harvest 4 seeds. I took these from bottom branches and one from each "corner" of the plant. I'm amazed at the different levels of maturity. One is fully formed (green) but not much more. On the other end of the spectrum one I believe would germinate if I dried it out for a couple weeks.
