Cola Monster's Perpetual Solo Cup Grow Feat: ViparSpectra's P2000's x 2

Happy to have you aboard NickHardy, I've been following your work since you signed up and may I say:bravo:!

And to answer your question, I'm estimating anywhere between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ozs. per plant dried. These are the biggest solo cup plants I've ever grown so final amounts may vary from strain to strain. Some are fluffy nugs. and others solid as a rock so we'll find out together come harvest.

Hope all is well in your world and have a great day!:Namaste:
Awww wow. Seriously warmest welcome ever. Thank you so much. 🙏🏼

Because like - are those trunks in 16oz solo’s?! That’s mad!

I’m doing the solo cup challenge but I’m thinking just for me if I could get an oz or so of some boutique strains a month off the side of & Co’s business in solos. Just for me. I love the bonsai nature, the dinky like - I dunno love it! So yeah fascinated to follow along.

Oh so yeah, also, I bought 4 more colours of solos today. 😅 you know. These things happen.

Hey, what's up? :lot-o-toke:
I didn't realize you had a journal started.
How's it going Chimpster?:welcome: and happy you found the place. I didn't tag anyone so it's a jump in if you want too type journal.;)

Hey, looked for this as had a thought about 40 minutes ago, maybe I’m missing something but with regards to this:

When I've done long solo cup vegging I often wonder where all the soil goes! One I sliced open a root ball and found the roots had encased the soil in the middle and compressed it while they took over all the visible area surrounding it.

Where does yours go?

I asked that very same question to my roommate who's an avid smoker as well as a newbie grower with both of us wondering what happened to the once 16 ounces of soil I originally filled the cup with and which is now nothing but a dense root ball. The soil had to go somewhere but where we have not a clue!:hmmmm:
You have drainage in the pots? Its just the decomposting soil becoming smaller particles and forced out by the expanding rootballs? They essentially turn hydro like at the end?

We don’t see it so much with Coco Peat - that isn’t designed to decompose - it starts for hydro root style. The 5 gallons come out 4G maybe? But the more organic nature (I appreciate both are natural) means soil breaks down and is flushed away. Dunno - a speculation?

Nick

Of course I don't mind Bill, glad to have you aboard! :welcome:

And yeah, I like to take a lot of videos and photos of my plants to document their growth for future reference if needed.;)

Hope all is well with you and have a great day mate!:Namaste:

Sounds like a reasonable explanation to me Nick. The soil had to go somewhere so why not out the drain holes in the bottom of the cups like you mentioned. I can envision that happening slowly over a few months time to where there is nothing left but a root ball to feed.;)

I'm so glad I found this place Mr. Monster!

I have actually smiled my way all the way through catching up on this thread from page uno! :Rasta:

I could go on, and I have questions. But I think it's best now to just sleep on what I've seen and consider the possibilities for my own little grow operation.

I'm loving this! :green_heart:

Thank you much and happy to have you aboard GDB!:high-five:

If you have any questions please feel free to ask in which I'll do my best to answer.:nerd-with-glasses:

Since you’re for all things solos these arrived today.

“My name is Nick “Chunk” Hardy and I have a solo cup problem. I told my comprades at 420 that I ordered just four more colours. Then it was really fiiive! Gimme that Babe Ruth!”

Gonna aim an oz a pot? (Hence the bags)

@Cola Monster - you reckon that’s achievable?

Nick (with his affliction)
😅

Morning all!:passitleft:

Well as you can see in the photos posted below my OG Kush Feminized #2/B had a minor setback last night with me finding an abnormal leaf on her main cola that turned out to be botrytis of course in which I pulled her from the garden and doctored her wounds by cutting out the infected areas and then rubbed down the stem with rubbing alcohol and put her back in the rotation hoping for the best.:lot-o-toke: Like the old saying goes "s--t happens"!

:Namaste:

I hope you got it all with your poodle cut, CM! :Rasta:
