Cola Monster's Perpetual Rock 'n' Roll Grow Journal

All good here brother. Gearing up for a big party this weekend. It's been a while. Might have to prep my liver. LOL!

Your gardening is an inspiration. Wish i could help with the critter though. Never seen anything like it.

Hey C.!:high-five:
I googled the aphid larvae but found nothing in the images section that looked like this critter here. I'll keep searching in my spare time since I like to know what I'm dealing with when it comes to my girls.

Hope all is well in your herbal based corner of the world & have a good day mate!:blunt:

Check boarer worm larvae I just had my battle I hope that's not them for your sake

Afternoon all!:high-five:
Well, I found a few more of those black bearded orange critters on my plants & I can't pull off easily since they attach themselves directly to the leaves & I've never seen anything like before. Where did they come from after a decade of growing outdoors I wonder? Inquiring minds wanna know so put on your thinking caps mates and help me find out what this darn thing is, well that's if having the time or even wanting too, no pressure on this end.
And for you instrumental musical fans out there here's a quick tour of the garden set to one of my all time favs. Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.:theband: Enjoy and have a good night!:blunt:

Hey ohioboy!
It's not the boarer worm larvae I'm looking at but more of a bug type creature with a furry little beard and I'm searching for at this time to find out what it is. Thanks for replying though, it's much appreciated.:thankyou:

Sorry 15 minutes googling and I came up empty. But I would spray everything with like mighty wash or something. Neem would probably be too strong.. good though if you wash it off later... I guess what I mean is wouldn't the treatment be similar? No matter what kind they are?

I have noticed caterpillars are bad this year at my camp.

Hope you can figure it out man

:peace:

Thanks for the time & effort F.E. and Growlow.:thankyou: I'll keep searching in my spare time to see what I can come up with.

And for tonight I'll leave ya with some solo cup shots from two of my budding beauties that are just about ready for harvest.:yummy:

Nice all around there CM... wow is all I can say... wiping drool off my keyboard.

Is that insect eating leaf material or sucking juice?

That thing could be some beetle larvae from the other side of the Pacific... hitch a ride in a pallet and with the right conditions hatches and you've got critters. You have any pallets on your property laying about, or your neighbors? I would hit up your local County Extension Office with the picture ... worth a shot.

Make a fire!

Cheers

Thank you kind sir!:thankyou:

The insect I'm speaking of is just sucking juice not eating the leaf material but boy are they stuck to it like glue. I'll give your idea a go and send a photo to the county office and see what they come up with since all my research has led me to a dead end.

And with that being said here is this weekends photo update of the greenhouse girls with everything looking nice and lush green as should be.:yummy: Have a great weekend mates!:high-five: ~Peace~:ganjamon:

Looking bloody lush chap! Spotted the post previously about your bug issue and the mentioning of mighty wash. DONT! Ive seen some info recently where they're ingredients didn't list certain not very nice stuff! Pyrethrins, a Oregon health notice went out!

Best of buds!

What's up L.A.?:high-five:
Don't worry mate as I never & I mean never spray my babies with anything being everything I do is all organic & as such I just inspect my girls on a daily basis than remove any critters I find in kind. Thanks for the heads up though and am glad to see we're on the same page as growers.:thankyou: ~Peace~:ganjamon:

This could just be the noob in me but couldn't a watered down neem oil help your bug problem out? It would keep you all organic. Just curious. Your plants look magnificent otherwise!!

The problem isn't that bad to where I have to consider spraying my girls with anything but just a few of them little critters here and there which are easy to spot since they're bright orange in color. Thanks for chiming in though Noob, it's much appreciated.:high-five:

Ah yeah man I think I was too stoned and I mixed it up. They could be thrips. Just google these larvae. I had the few times without any serious consequences.

Livin the dream CM. All of em just look stunning :)

Thank you sir & if ever in the Nor-Cal vicinity be sure to look me up.
