Clones Are killing me - I'm 2 for 12

I actually would really like one of those new fancy shmancy phones. But the phone companies charge a insane amount for them. Made me think "just how much do I really need this thing".

I mean first off the phone was like $100 with a new contract. The contract is 2 years and for those two years you have to pay $30 a month to get 3 little gigabits of internet usage and if you go over... you better call your rich aunt Tuti.

So just for the first two years you are paying $820 just to add internet to your phone... at prices like that I might as well build my own satellite, launch it into orbit, then have it follow me around so I get signal and internet wherever I go.

Made me think of a thought I had yesterday. Ok so in all those zombie movies your main problem is getting bitten by a slow ass moving zombie. Now why the hell dont these people just wear suits of armor like they did in the middle ages? I mean how the fuck is a zombie gonna bit ya if you are covered head to toe by steel plating? Like seriously... in every zombie movie theres millions or possibly billions of people dieing. You cant tell me that not a single sob would have thought of that.
 
Yeah if I had the money I would totally collect armors and weapons from throughout history.

Everything from Samurai armors, to knight, to modern military. Plus the weapons to go along with them as well.

If I was one of those rich snooby dude, minus the snobby part :), I would have a entire gallery in my house dedicated to stuff like that and a few cool paintings too. I always wanted to have a huge wall covered with everything from some guns, to a big ol 12 foot spear, to a samurai sword, shurikens, some crossbows and w/e else. That way if any uninvited guests ever come over to try and help themselves to my shit I got a surprise for their ass quick style ;)

Im totally the same! not sure about paintings tho im not really an arty person, however i wouldnt mind a few giant tapestries picturing a period backdrop relating to the weapons in that room.

tut tut, you made a classic mistake calling it a samurai sword. =p its a Katana and is normally accompanied by a Wakizashi.
i can tell you from experience that if you had to grab one for home defence, you grab the Wakizashi...the katana is far better used outdoors.

Its like the machette i sleep with, its 3 inches smaller than any standard one you can buy from a shop just so i can use it effectively indoors..if i ever needed to lol.

and i dont want anyone to think im a psycho or anything, im not hot headed. its just that in my youth i have had my door caved in more than once and have had to fight for my life...those kind of experiences polarise a person. i am totally harmless to the world at large, but if you consider invading my home, you better come prepared to fight for your life as i have had two decades of mentally preparing myself to chop first and worry about the cost later. lol
 
I got my shotgun at the foot of my bed :D.

It might not be the best size for indoors. But itll blow a hole through most things :D.

If I ever hear someone snooping around my yard in the middle of the night trying to cut down my plants. They wont be happy. ;)
 
lol i dont think even your country would allow me to own a gun, my record certainly means i can never own one legally in the UK...but its all good x-bows beat most guns for stopping power anyway and im a fantastic shot...i had a 230 pounder when i first came to this house but destroyed it in some stupid effort to become a more passive person. i will get some more when money allows...i kinda realised being nicer doesnt need to mean being weaker, you just need better reasons to go nuts, lol.

Yes 100% perlite is the way to go. I told you I ad a day with every watering. Well the other day I was up to 4 days between waterings on some and I accidentally let them go 5 days. I was surprised that not one of them had wilted. Even perlite holds more moisture than most people think. I have wonderful results with it !!!

Get a blowdart and some ninja stars. Plus a huge mace and a viking helmet.

Believe me if you go charging out there dressed like a viking with a crazed look in your eyes a big bloody mace, throwing ninja stars and blowing poisoned darts at them, even if they do survive aint no way they coming back and neither are their friends :D

I actually ran outside last night butt naked cause I thought I heard something. If me charging at ya like a bull with my dingaling swinging doesnt scare ya, not much will.

ive been looking a bit more into seaweed....im going to do an experiment. as im known to do on occasion :rofl:

since i got roots quite well without rooting powder/gel, im not going to bother getting any.

However, im going to try 1 clone that i inject full strength seaweed directly into the stem near the cut, only a small amount, like 100 microlitres. i may as well try it since it has a silly amount of growth hormone in it.

That's how I do my clones. Let them sit in Old Age kelp and then stick them in rapi rooter plugs
 
Great thread guys, just read the whole thing. Good info. and great story's, Jimmy you had me laughing good there thx!

When i first started i was only getting 50% success rates with my cuttings. Eventually the frustration was to much, tried different things till i achieved 100%.

Cloning In a dome with peat pellets

-soak the peat pellets in water/sea weed and peroxide

-soak cuttings in water/sea weed

-trim and cut the cuttings

-dip in root power #1 (cheap pink stuff)

-place in the pellets making sure to firmly press the peat against the cuttings

- spray with water/seaweed twice a day

-heat mat under dome

-13w/26w cfl

=100% in as little as 7days

This was good for me but a few grows down the road i was not liking the dome thing, felt like i was baby sitting!

So i decided to make the aero clonner, fuck me i will never use my dome again!! Just set it and forget it! Once the clones are in all you really have to do is change the water once a week.:thumb:
 
there we go with seaweed again..man i love the stuff!!!
im using kimmy's method and probably always will now, with a few alterations of my own.

one of which im testing now, i have a single clone of aghan kush that i scraped and cut ready to pot, but then i dipped it in a solution of water and 25% seaweed extract for an hour, then just plain watered it into my perlite pot. i havnt sprayed it once. now im just waiting to see if it roots faster than the others. i dont use rooting powders/hormones at all.

i will play about with the seaweed dip, i like the time. an hour seems like a good amount to get it to soak right in, i just need to play with the concentration. next time i will try 100% seaweed and just pray it doesnt poison my plant. if that works then im gonna go balls to the wall and just sit one in a cup with some seaweed extract at the bottom and see if it roots neat (will spray as needed with plain water)

edit: oh yeah, im also running another experiment atm, only launched it today so it will take a week or three to know if it works. lets just say im trying a different way of cutting my clones, untill i have results im keeping my cards close to my chest ;)
