Hello!

I have been lurking around this forum for a while now after defecting from RIU. I have just moved to a new place to save on rent cause times are tough and I am trying to re-setup my 1k switchable and I'm having a really hard time.

Here's how it goes...... The apartment I just moved into is owned by my girlfriends parents and looks nice but doesn't have central air or heating (which actually really sucks now that I live here ) My girl and I have complete privacy but her mom has this weird tick where she FREAKS OUT if anyone leaves the window air conditioning unit on while we aren't in the house ("YOU ARE WASTING SO MUCH MONEY I COULD THROW UP")

I know I know...... So, fans make a shit ton of noise especially in a house where the air conditioner cant cover up the sound. I also have a cool tube that I have to exhaust hot air out of a 2nd story window.... right where she parks her car everyday and walks across the street to her house

It will break my heart not to be able to use all the stuff I just bought 4-5 months ago, I haven't even gotten a full successful grow out of it yet.

SO I am going to wrap the fans completely in insulation, any and all 6" ducting will also be placed in insulated sleeves. I found a DIY muffler and I am going to make 3 of them AND THEN...

If all goes well and I can safely operate my grow I will order $400 worth of seeds from attitude and start an epic multi-strain grow.

I also have Bubblelicious and Aurora Indica from Nirvana that i will throw in there as well.

IF ALL IS NOT WELL AFTER ALL THE SOUND REDUCTION, I will have to drastically downsize. Either way I plan to photo document the whole thing and hopefully you guys can learn from my mistakes.

Ok so went and spent $100 at Home Depot. Built and attached the muffler and it sure did quiet everything down but it raised my steady temp up to 86 degrees! So instead I used pre-made insulation ducting and just attached the 6"ducting on either side (see pics). This made it so the air was running through the insulation without ducting. Air came out pretty much the same on the other side but much less agitated and slightly cooler. All I have left is to make the box for the window.

I think it was the can66 filter? it came with the 6 inch flange. I have a 4x8x7 sun hut tent.

ok change of plans. I had no idea that if you continue to clone clones you will get really crappy plants and hermies after the 3rd generation. So I have decided to germinate all of my bubbleicious seeds and clone the aurora indicas. I will update in a couple days with pics of the clones and seeds in the dirt.

My plant right now is to keep 1 BL and 1 AI as mothers and flower the rest. Then when the mothers are big enough to give me enough clones I will do an even bigger grow with all my clones. does that sound right?

I was on track to grow a round then clone and grow again and never keep a mother. i just read that this is very wrong, can someone confirm?

Everything passed the test! I just have to do the window box....

Here are some pics of how things went. I also have some pics from my current grow which no attention should be directed towards their appearance at all. These plants were roughly moved almost 200 miles in plastic garbage bags, sat in the dark for 5 days with no food or water, and then had to deal with their 1k light turning on and off, on and off while I was resetting up the tent and ventilation. I am happy that some part of them is still green. I plan to start over with something more eye pleasing with the bubblelicious, but hopefully these guys still give me something to smoke.

Hello!

WHEW It got a little bit hotter outside and I had'nt done a good enough job sealing up and properly ventilating my tent. So I went through and made sure there was insulation on every inch of ducting and every hole was sealed. Then I lost the adapter for the camera, and then the internet died on me.

SORRY!

Anyways The first time I ever ordered seeds I ordered Aurora Indica and Urban Poison from Nirvana. I flowered the Ai's to early and the Urbans were just all shit. 5 feminized seeds didnt even make it through the veg cycle with no nutes.

So I emailed Nirvana and was VERY polite and discretely told them that the $45 I had just spent on their seeds was crap and I thought it was due to BAD GENETICS. They went on and told me "oh check your grow conditions" and again I politely told them that the plants want for nothing and died against my will. Eventually the girl apologized for the company and they agreed to send me 5 feminized seeds of whatever strain I wanted and they threw in 10 free seeds and paid for the shipping and everything.

Normally I am not that patient but I decided to wait it out because of the laws in my area. Honestly I am saving up for a big order from Attitude, but Nirvana impressed me.

Seeds are germinating and halfway cracked already. Will post pictures of the neat and tidy grow room and later pictures of sprouts when I get them. (

If I understand correctly, you didn't give them any nutrients for their veg cycle? That would be why they died...

I followed the fax farm feeding chart exactly except that the first half of the veg cycle is half strength, dont go full strength until flowering. With the urbans when they reached the veg stage they rapidly developed deficiencies and then died. They were abnormally sensitive to ammonium nitrate. lead to a really nasty potassium def.

Hello everyone!

I apologize for the lack of updates and pictures I lost the adapter for the computer and my camera. No worries as repairs to the room comes down the pictures and free time will go up.

BUT I have lots of exciting news. I recently had to make a move and where I am staying now there are VERY STRICT codes of conduct if this operation is to remain secretive. So, I got here set all my stuff up and it was all going fine until the temperature outside started warming up (in December I know its really weird).

The house that retains this resinous ramble of a grow does NOT have any central heating or air, and I did not take that into account. The last couple days the temperature in the flowering room has been steady between 97-101.

So I put both of my 435 CFM fans in sequence on the 1000 watt, I found a really old but reliable window air conditioner and cut a hole in my grow tent for itcough: I know I know). The space I am growing in is right smack in the middle of an alley, this both works and doesnt work in my favor.
Exhausting the air and keeping things low profile is hard but when I finally nail it down good I am deep in friendly territory.

Everyone who lives on this street is life-long good friends of my GF's mom and everywhere I look I know NO ONE is on the lookout for this stuff. BUT I need to avoid AS MUCH SUSPICION AS I CAN.

I am turning everything on right now (all fans, all lights bla bla bla) and I am going to run it for 2 hours and constantly check every angle of the house for light leaks, sound perforation and general disarray ( +rep to whoever can name that show before 10:00 tomorrow) .

ALSO I kept killing clones no matter what I did so I broke down and made a DIY aerocloner out of a 5 gallon bucket and etc. for less than $70. Will post a how to when I get the new adapter.

I loaded it with Aurora Indica, Urban Poison and a random unknown sativa clones, should have roots in 10 days right?!?!?! I have 1 bubblelicious seed, 10 unknown freebies from nirvana, and a seed from a dank bag that I got just days ago that have sprouted and are thriving under the t5's. so...

12 clones total (AI, UP, random sativa)
and 12 seeds total

SHOULD BE INTERESTING!

LST How to do

A how-to on LST. I never realized that this gave such a difference in yield. I am going to be growing different strains and this is the perfect height control for me, I will be doing this to every plant in this grow.

Ladies and Gentlemen, All fellow peoples breathing oxygen!

I am very sorry about not posting:surrender::surrender: But I am now armed with the correct adapters. I have hesitated to post for a while honestly because it was rather boring. I germinated the seeds, some sprouted, some didn't, some needed shell removal surgery and some were just fine. Then I left for out of town and left EXPLICIT VERY ACCURATE DIRECTIONS for the girlfriend and what do you know....

Dried out husks of what would have been gorgeous plants. So I have been spending the last couple weeks coaxing these plants back to life and here is where I am....

I am pretty sure they have overcome their dehydration and are continuing to grow. These are a couple Urban Poison clones that I took right before the original plant was going to die of a bunch of crazy deficiencies, they dont look great but the leaves are actually starting to get their green color back. I cant wait to try some of these strain.

This is my pathetic sativa clone that I took at 5 weeks into flower (she died too ) It is the only one to take root. I managed to try some of this strain and the high was absurdly UP, if you know what I mean. That is also a shot of my 5gal Bucket Cloner.

This is everything so far. My plan is to....

Seperate the males from the females
Identify the strain/type of all females
Throw any least favorite or doubles into flowering (for smoking purposes)
Grow the remaining females as mothers,
then take a shit-ton of clones and start a Multiple Strain LST Bonanza.

Thoughts anyone?
