CK’s Hibrix Adventures

Sheesh Blazin, you're gonna have a helluva crop from all those totes! :p

Shit I hope so . Maybe then my family an friends wont drain my jars dry b4 my next harvest again lol.
I agree but also think cultivar is a huge factor, I think a light defol on every girl is good but how far you go depends on the that certain cultivar and to know that you have to get a feel for what that certain one likes

Yup I totally agree with u there lol. Only problem is I'm running a bunch of new genetics this round. It was my 420 gift to myself  in preparation of switching over to all HB growing. An I found out 1 of the strains I picked wasnt as stable as I hoped an lost one of two I started. An the other 1 has slight deformity to her but I think will grow out of it she is starting to look alot better nw she alil older. And another of the strains I choose isnt doing what the breeder discription said. It said it was suppose to be strong against spidermites, mold, and PM n bam it got spidermites right out the gate. But that is my White Alien's with the mites and Ice Creams with the deformities. Now I got a White Berry started and she grew a tap root like a champ an was trying to grow leaves b4 even being in the ground lol. She shed her helmet also while she was germing in the paper towel. An I only germed her for 16 hours. An so far she is growing good. Altho it's only been about a week since she has been above the ground so time will tell if she stays strong but I think she will. But yea I just started germing lastnight 2 Sweet Tooth and 2 Red Leicester Tease and then 1 LA S.A.G.E. CBD. Which I'm pretty excited to see how this cbd one does with the kit. But yea things will be in full motion pretty soon here cant wait lol.

Also I’d say lights are a factor as well depending on how far into the canopy they penetrate

Oh yeah forsure that's why I'm also converting my lights to Quantum Boards. They are looking like they are some of my better lights. They r pretty close to jus as good as my Dwarf Star led from Perfect Sun n that's 500 usd and my QB light is only 150 usd so way worth saving the 350 when they do jus about the same. I wud say the 150$ QB does about 90 to 95% as gud as the dwarf star. The Star jus makes the buds slightly denser atleast I think it does. I've only tried the one round with it so far so I gotta few more runs to do b4 i fully know forsure but eitherway its totally worth saving the 350 n gettn a QB versus the Dwarf Star for 500 ya no.

Ah I see, they I wouldn’t really do much defol just to see how they grow and get a feel for them. As for the mites, fuuuuuuck go to war and be super persistent with your sprays making sure you are covering every tiny little nook n cranny. I’ve seen those Quantum boards, pretty slick, I don’t have too much experience with LED since I only use 1 in veg and it’s rare that it gets turned on and all HPS in flower. I’ll probablu make the switch one day but for now I ain’t fixin what ain’t broke and my lights have been smashing so far

Hells yea man I still dont think any led atleast that I know of that can full on beat an hps maybe some of the really REALLY top of the line LEDs can but then ur guna pay 4 it lol. An yea I totally feel ya why fix sumthn tht not broken lol.
Oh I forgot to ask lol what kind of led do u got for the veg area. That is one thing I do like about most LEDs anyway is that they work for both veg an flower. As long as u get a full spectrum one. I wana get some far red to throw in the flower room as well as a 1750k to help incourage stretch and get those tall beasties lol. I actually got an afrodite rite now that I wish I would have done outside cause she is getting tall.

The led I have is just a little 600w from viparspectra, it is full spectrum as well

Looking better by the day

Great looking canopy there CK.

As for the LED vs HPS chat....LED technology has advanced a long ways. The top of the line LEDs are blowing away what HPS does these days. I grow in soil and with the Fluence Spydrx (660 watts) full spectrum and I pulling upwards of 1.7-2.0 GPW with her on a light mover in my 10'x10'. The newer version Spydrx is supposed to be even better. Those numbers are in my homemade soil with rain water only, no bottled nutes. I am sure coco or DWC growers that maximized the space more than I am, could get higher numbers. I can run it as close as 3" above the canopy on the movers.

The Megalight makes a really good LED as well, about the same price and same numbers on efficiency and very similar coverage.

That’s awesome man, they really have came a long way but still pretty pricy IMO

Ok well I was looking up that light u mentioned an all I could find was one for 1500 $usd or a 900$ one is that what u paid for urs? No wonder u dnt wana go get another led dam lol. Those r super pricey but if ur getting up to 2 grams per watt shit u cant go wrong with those results. Shit for those prices u better get results like that  but yea man is the top journal in ur sig ur most current or the one for whatever ur running under that light?

The initial investment....yes its pricey. But I don't have to buy bulbs as often as the HPS guys do. I have a friend that runs them and he spends a pretty penny yearly on bulbs. Second factor is the heat. I don't want or need all the heat from HPS, a lot of wasted energy that I would be paying for. I started under the cheaper LEDs (MARS and Viparspectra) and they weren't bad for a home grower with a small tent. I think I was running about 530 watts and pulled about 14 zips on the first grow. Density was ok and produce was still good....but then I upgraded and its been like day vs night since then. If my electricity bill wasn't so high, I would buy a second one. The first one paid for itself in less than a year with the extra produce from my harvests being doubled.

One of the other things I love about the Spydrx despite not having had to use it....is that if any of the diodes go out, I simply unplug that "arm" and send it back to the manufacturer. I still have my light that is operating at 85% power. I won't have to wait for harvest to other factor to turn off a light and send it back to the manufacturer.

They have dimmer switches you can buy as well......can control multiples with one controller supposedly.

Yeah they have two models that are near 1500 dollars. I think one is designed for use with CO2 and one isn't...but they both pull about 650 watts from the wall and have very similar coverage to Spydrx Plus. The 900 dollar one is the next one I am buying. Its the same size as the 1500 dollar model but it only pulls about 330-345 watts. Thats going to be my veg light.....great coverage for my 5x5 veg tent.

All my light choices have come down to max efficiency and coverage with the fewest watts possible. I don't need to run 550 watts in veg for 18 hours a day when 330 watts with better coverage will do as good if not better and I will save paying for those additional 3,600 watts every day.

I bought their Razr for my seedling and clone area and love it. Only 91 watts and it covers my 27"x 54" tent perfect. Saves me another 100+ watts an hour with better coverage. Sure I could hit all my areas with more watts and man I would love to if I didn't have to pay the electricity bill. I don't 'move' enough of my stuff to validate spending more on my electric bill (even though I would love to).

Dam brother that leaf is lookn weird lol. But shit she has healthy waxy deep green color to her congrats.
I like to think of it as her giving me the finger
