Chromes Gone Hempy: "Kushberry" + Bagseed/Bagseed Clone: CFLs!

it's not all that it's cracked up to be :,, most often, so many people want to go there, that you just about run them over getting into the parkig lot, then when you leave, you will often have to wait for that idiot in fornt of you with 100 items, divided into 25 transactions, 1/2 of them WIC, with 4 screaming kids, all in the 12 item or less line... :)

So true. Imagine the biggest store ever that actually has nothing. No selection at all.
The worst thing about the one here is that they have about 1000 checkout stands but only 2 are open with lines 80 people deep.:hmmmm:
They also have the self checkout registers but those are either broke or has somebody on it that gets confused using the damn thing because it talks and has all of those pretty lights to distract them from scanning and paying for their crap.;)
This is evil but I once saw a documentary about the walmart business ethics and how they discriminate and destroy small biz. The big wig from wally world had a meeting where he brought survielence video of people that would fill up their cart with impulse buys, come to their senses at checkout and leave the cart full in the checkout aisle and leave the store. This bugged the big wig to no end becuase they not only would not sell that big cart of impulse buys but they had to pay for the man power to put that stuff back on the shelves. So the big wig started hatching schemes to get those people thru checkout before they came to their senses.
Armed with this ammo sometimes I go into that store, load up a cart with crap, take it to a checkout and leave it. But then I go back into the store and grab the one or two things I went there for. I know it's mean but that store has screwed alot of people and I just like to do my part in being a pia for their master plan.
:smokin:

I always wish I can call direct to tier three so I get someone in the USA. Did you all see the new show that is coming out in the fall that is making fun of tech support in India. It is called outsourced. I will check it out for sure. I have my issues with them reading the scripts and not listening to a word I say.

Alien8, If, when you call customer support, you request to speak with tech support in the USA the companys are required to redirect you. Companies must maintain an onshore tech support group and you can make that request. It must be honored.

that is f'n funny as hell.. I will have to do that more often from now on,,, hahaha, plus,, it will be job security for some of those poor schmucks that have to work there :), they f'd my mom over when she worked for them, discrimintation, she got hurt, but they were able to screw her over on that as well.. not a big fan of them,, but sometimes you got no choice..lol

I don't get this thinking and I've always liked Walmart, I have never understood the hate. I like being able to get stuff as cheaply as possible. When I was younger (pre-WM) we had to shop at lots of mom and pops and you wanna talk about overpriced crap.... they were full of it. And I can guarantee they weren't paying their help any better or with more benefits.

Anyhow when you load a cart full of stuff and just leave it there, you aren't hurting WM at all. You are hurting the employee who has to put it all back, and that person probably already has another job or is raising a family and just trying to get by. They're tired and now they get to walk all over the store putting stuff back where it came from. And that extra money WM has to spend on manpower? We all pay for that in higher prices.

I'm pretty sure of what I speak because while I don't work for WM I do have a similarly crappy 2nd job to make some extra $. The fine customers generally consider us a step below pond scum and have no problem at all letting us know that. It's really opened my eyes and given me a respect for the customers that do treat us like fellow human beings.

So please don't be that guy. I'm off the soapbox now.

Sorry Chrome! The plants are looking great and so is your closet, sorry the sicko didn't pull through.

Peace.

One of the things I hate about Wally World is that they buy life insurance on there employees !! So if they die guess who benefits !! We've lost a lot of Mom and Pop stores here too. I don't think they were ripping anyone off trying to make a living ,I do my best not to buy from Wally World but when I must I do, and I don't treat anyone working there like their not equal !

Sorry so not true in my case. I had a long running fight with earthlink for years and always had to talk to India. I wrote in every customer service survey STOP OUTSOURCING. I no longer have them but in my previous state it was my cheapest option and had been merged from sprint, then mindspring then earthlink and didn't want to lose my email. I know pay 5 bucks a month and still have my email addy but lost my original sprintmail one that i had for over 20 years.

It has happened with other companies as well. I always ask to be transferred to usa but they always say they can't even after asking for a supervisor they just put there friends on the phone with the script that makes no sense.

I am lucky the companies I deal with now for the moment haven't outsourced or at least that I know of. I don't call tech a lot.

Chrome I am living under a rock I had no idea that walley world was walmart. I don't even think most of there stuff is cheaper. I find better sales at target most of the time. I have only went for groceries once at walmart and found them higher then the regular supermarket and never went back to shop for groceries. I am new to the super walmarts so I checked it and it was a zero.

I don't wait on line cause I got to stores when no-one else does. That is all stores not just walmart. If there are lines I leave since I will have severe panic attacks if there are people in the store.

I guess for me, it depends on how much time I have, and if I called them or if they called me.. :)

I like to ask them to repeat themselves like 10 to 15 times for everything they say,, I just keep saying,, what,,,? I don't understand,, do you have someone that speaks english?

or I not be understanding words you which are speaking to me now..

or repeat what they said, but fragment it even more? what? no, I'm not a be,, huh? what was that?

I remember seeing something about their training, and how they have to treat americans like 2 year olds,, so I feel it is my job to be that 2 yr old,, and to try and frustrate them as much as possible. (and I know with watts lines, VOIP and such, that it probably costs them like 3 cents a minute,, but I still have to ring up their bill.. hehe)

and now man, we are way :eek:fftopic: sorry Chrome... :focus:

man, with Chrome etting a real job,, his thread is all over the place.. hehe

ps. Chrome.. I finally started a journal,, if ya want to take a peek. :)

Hey Chrome. I didn't know you were a fellow techie. After we got outsourced at Gateway, Compaq, and then HP, we decided to outsource ourselves. We have our own biz now, and we are doing really well. People want English speaking tech supt. They are even willing to toss their existing service plans just to have an American give it to them.

Anywho, I wanted to let you know that I posted pics last night. Take a peak!

Oh chrome tell us about your first day...glad we made you laugh.

Herb that is way too funny what you do.

GD will check it out. I am glad I get to call costco for my hp and still get americans however only called once when I got it so not really still sure.

GD(GaladrielDreams) Yeah I am tech through and through. I'm working as tech support at a medical facility right now. With a back ground in Network Admin and general IT contract work. I'm one of the best darn trouble shooters this side of... My reality.. :)

My first day went well, slow as most are. I can definitly tell I'm going to like working here. 'Cept for the side side of being in a place full of the sick and dying. Thats a bit off putting. I mean here I am in the stride of my life, making money, starting out for my self and all around me are people who have lived their life, will never have a chance to live their life, or are at low point in their life. Its kind of sad. Today being my first exposure to that I had to come home and smoke a big bowl. Kind of wrap my head around it..

Mourn not RedDawg, sicko lives. She's on a window sill and in gods hands now.. so yeah maybe some mourning is ok. She probably wont make it..

Also No photo's tonight. they ladies are resting and recovering. Thy do look fantastic though in their new homes.
