ChemDawg D BX 3

The chem, excellent strain! I need to get some of that get big on my buds. ..lol
Nice pics, nice buds, excellent work!

Thanks man there's just something about this cross that tells me stabilizing it to breed with other plants is the way I need to go. I think I stand a better chance of getting closer to Chem D with the second cut I'll be doing here (I think this experiment is already heading towards '91 Chem, one of the grandparents). That particular cut is already 60-75% Chem D. I've got a few good strains to cross it with, but the whole process is going to take years. This is only the 4th crossing of these seeds I've done, so I have probably 2-3 more breedings to go before I see stabilized plants.

This one's going in the dark for a few days then choppo! :) This is the plant in the first pic from yesterday. It looks like there isn't a single brown hair on it in the pic, even though I see plenty. It must be the camera's reaction to the HPS, because when I put it under a fluorescent this morning I get these more to the point pics (sorry about the blurriness; trying to crop pics beyond my camera's focus range)

The rest are close behind. Who will win the race into PotChimp's lungs? Don't touch that dial! :tokin:

That's the one you should have used as a mother at the beginning of this, you idiot.....

That effin unit's always full of dope yet I'm always almost outta dope this paradox has been puzzling me since I started growing..... :hmmmm:
Here's where the problem lies:

How many units do you have and how many plants can you fit in each? If you have two for flower and one for veg just stagger to the two flower rooms by about a month and with 7-9 week strains you could harvest every month

I'm running 5 separate units, four of them around 2' x 3' and one around 2-1/2' x 1'. I use between 1 and 2 for veg and the other 3 for flower. As soon as I go through like a zillion strains I'm gonna settle things down and operate efficiently :) I actually do harvest about once a month.

Ok so try clone to flower. No veg time. Minimal medium. I watched a guy on here flower under 1 600 I believe in nothin but perlite/ vermiculite in 2 liter bottles. And he was pulling 1/2oz dried bud from each plants. Staggard harvests of around 20 plants every couple weeks. That's 10 oz per crop. Idk what you're average yields are

They seem small for 11 days, but here they are (I lost one, so it's down to 9):

I'm going to pick a father and mother from the same grouping this time. I'm also going to veg at 18/6 for a few weeks (as opposed to the 11/13 schedule I ran them under last grow).
This large cola pheno is near chop:

This clone of a pheno that had a structure similar to a Bubba Kush I grew is going to get a SCROG:

Here's a CDDBX3 original clone a bit into flower in front of one that's close to chop also:

Post more pics soon, :peace:

looking good! what plant is the one with the large cola? its flowers look unique.

That plant is from the third generation of these Chemdawg D BX 3 plants I've been breeding out, b.real. It was when I made that mistake and culled the father I had. I had to do a second run of plants after the first to get another, which I did. I looked at all the plants after I picked the father in that grouping, saw a female, and before I culled I said, "This one is just a bit too vigorous and even in structure it's not gonna die today." It stretched like crazy because I put it in an overcrowded situation, but it came out okay.
I'm going to reveg it and I may backcross to this plant if I don't like the way the mothers look in this fourth generation, even though I know I'll be adding another generation or two to the stabilization process. Those buds do look unique..... :skeptical:

Damn speaking of the large cola :( I have to chop that plant today. Three nugs on that top cola looked a bit brown, so I picked at them and saw bud rot. I put the plant in another room and I'm going to harvest later. I'll take a few pics of the area and pics of the plant after I trim it down for reveg. I pulled the other plants out to inspect and saw they were clean. As soon as the next Chemdawg D BX 3 clone chops (1-2 weeks maybe?) I'm going to do a bleach water cleaning of the unit and another 3 hour sulfer burn with fresh prills (I think that's why the last burn didn't work as well; I tried leaving the whole pre-evaporated cake from a previous burn in the bowl, and it might not have melted enough to evaporate). As they always do, the seedling for the 4th breeding are going slow. And the next original clone I took is taking it rough, as they almost always do. Man I hope I can do as well as the dude that bred this out I just smoked a blunt of Super Silver Haze then rolled me a joint of his weed I'm smoking it now and I'm pretty high too :)
