Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

My buddies who tried it tell me that if it's not the best they've ever smoked it's in the top three. That's pretty impressive considering how long those guys have been smoking weed. A strain I knew I had to preserve for my collection.

Well, here comes a bittersweet update.

The borg has stricken

today I thought I’d move my it’s it punch out of the way to take some pictures of the cookies n chem a week away from harvest. Well, something was amiss. I saw leaves that looked like this:

Needless to say i was not happy about it, and have ordered a mite product from Sierra Nevada. It breaks down incredibly fast and is safe to use on buds that are ready to harvest. The star pupil I just put into flower still looks pest free, but I did notice some damage on the It’s It Punch unfortunately. She had some damaged leaves and looked to be starting an infestation of her own. Ill be starting an IPM for vegging plants as well. I’ll start with foliar neem once a week on everything in veg. From now until forever. It’s a good thing I’m planning to shut down for a bit, or this would be far more of a disaster.

more pictures of the son of a bitch bastards:

Here’s the silver lining; despite the bugs, this Cookies n Chem is producing like a champion! I’m attributing the fat buds to the extra stability from the bamboo stakes. I think the Terpinator has also helped, I’ve been giving her 20ml per gal since flip and last week I went up to 30ml. I’m quite proud of this cultivar and clone. A weaker strain/clone would have succumbed much more to the infestation.

She’s lookin very tasty.

More good news, none of my moms nor my Sour Bubba, Terple, or LA Cheese have any sign of mites at all. I’m positive of that because I went through the sour Bubba extremely thoroughly tonight. Which is a good segue into my next bit of news. In 48 hours, my Sour Bubba will be in 12/12. I’ve stripped her of all unwanted nodes, and I’ve even removed a few of the spindlier branches that hadn’t thickened up in the last 4-5 days. I’ll give her a little recovery time and off she goes.

That should be a fun plant to watch. She’s gonna be outrageously frosty, that I already know.

Yeah she’s day 56, so 7-10 days away. I don’t plan to really spray anything on her.. but I probably will do a bud wash. I got the mite spray for the IIP mostly, I’ll give her a good spray once every 3-4 days for the next few weeks.

Oh and I got myself a bubblebag set o_O

that update to come

Mine are on the shelf waiting for the right harvest. I can't wait to make some hash.
Nice! I’ve got a buttload of trim to run. I just need to buy a bag of ice and a couple of buckets

Well friends, it has been quite the quiet spell from me and I do apologize. Tomorrow I’ve got a day off, so I’ll come through with a good solid update.

tonight I want to bring another video/cast I listened to that was extraordinarily insightful into just how organic nutrition works. There was one part I found particularly astounding. There are a lot of anecdotal reports about how organic buds keep for 5-10x longer than inorganic produce. This is actually the result of the mechanism used by the plant to extract nutrients from microbes. In this cast, Dr. James White describes how plants use reactive oxygen to oxidize the membrane of microbes in order to absorb their stored nutrients. In using reactive oxygen as part of a healthy metabolism, the plant up-tunes it’s genetic resistance to oxidation.

fascinating stuff I must say

It’s Packed with useful info.

If you remember the post i did Initially about the things I’ve been listening to... the video about soil restructuring is amazing! It’s got me looking into organic foliar sprays

Im definitely glad that I took the turn towards regenerative los. After this star pupil I can’t imagine flowering another plant on anything but organic soil......

I need to start a worm bin

Im actually fixing to mix my next batch myself. I’d really like to source my amendments cheaply/locally instead of buying another KIS or BAS nutrient pack. All it takes is; kelp meal, neem meal, Karanja meal, oyster flour and gypsum(basalt/granite). That’s the entire coot nutrient regiment... oh that and barley hulls.
