Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

Man that sucks Beez I hope you get rid of them once and for all
Thanks, PC......Not sure if the sulfur burning completely gets rid of them or just keeps them in check but we'll see in about a week. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to do sulfur burns in the house and stay married.

The way my wife is with smells I know I would get booted if I tried a sulfur burn. :nervous-guy:

Is that for real?! Russet mites still?! Shit man, that is some fucked up news. What did you lose?

I was just reading that you only need to plan your Sulphur burns for 2 hours, 1 day a week. So when the lights go out every Tuesday, run the burner for 2 hours. The Mrs should be able to deal with that right??

That garlic sherb looks totally insane.

edit: oh yeah, and you need to kill your exhaust fan the night the burner is on.

To keep the peace I will be setting up a tent in my bathroom in which to do the burns. I will burn (not sulfur) two plants a BCP and a Jellium. The rest I will try to nurse through flowering. Would love to talk to a Hemp Russet Mite expert to find out of the soil the plants are grown in is reusable or not.

Are you then planning to just shut ‘er down for a second to clean everything up with bleach and such? God, what a fucking pain in the ass. That would be good info about the soil... I’ll see what I can dig up.

Here’s what I’ve been listening to while I drive everyday between work and home, I hope you all are curious enough to listen to... a couple hours at least

I've had this one plant the last week that just did not look happy no matter what I tried for her. So I thought maybe I need to get out the mini-microscope and check it for Hemp Russet Mites and sure enough she has a good number of them. So in my typical fashion I ripped her out of the soil, put her in a cardboard box and burned her in my burning barrel. Then I though maybe I need to check my other two plants and sure enough they have them too. SO I ordered a sulfur burner and some sulfur last night which will be here in about 6 days. I'm just shaking my head here. I burned almost every plant I had growing when I had the HRM outbreak a couple months ago and though that was behind me. My God these things seem impossible to get rid of entirely.
Geez beez.

I will burn (not sulfur) two plants a BCP and a Jellium.
I got your back on these two if you lose them. I started more copies last week.

I quarantined all my soil from my bouts with regular spider mites in a pile in the yard. Drip trays and plastic pots are cleaned after all pest infections. I even washed my watering can.

Anyway....best of luck with that stuff. :(

I deeply appreciate that Jim. I'm fortunate to have reversed both the Jellium and BCP so I have seeds. I'm pretty sure the colony has infested every one of my plants at this point. So it is either kill/burn them all or wait for the sulfur burner to get here and see how effective that is. And according to a couple other guys on 420 with the same HRM problem it works very well. So although it makes my skin crawl to know my tent is full of hemp russet mites I'll keep nursing them along till the burner gets here hopefully sometime this coming week.

Ohhh I will have to listen at some point, although I did just get my hand slapped for using too much data last month.

The clackamascoot video, he gives out his recipe for amendments. He talks about a lot of different things... like why we should all be using pumice as aeration, why sphagnum is better than peat, what the benefits of barley are and why kelp meal is so important... I could go on, but you should really listen to it.

why sphagnum is better than peat,
Sphagnum is used to create a specific type of peat moss. I use only Canadian sphagnum peat moss in my soil mix. Canadian sphagnum peat moss is created using moss that was harvested live from bogs, lots etc while regular peat moss is created using dead moss. Makes a big difference in the ability of the peat moss to hold water.

The way clackamascoot describes it, the sphagnum is like the top buds in a bag of weed, and the stuff that is sold as “peat moss” is like the shake. Sphagnum is much preferred because it maintains the stringy structure that allows for water and oxygen to penetrate. Cheap peat moss doesn’t have that same structure, doesn’t allow for as much oxygen into the root zone.

Logic tells me that “peat moss” is more likely to compact faster. Where sphagnum keeps it’s airy structure like coco. This is super important for late flower/long flowering strains where compaction can really become a big problem. There’s not much you can do for roots that can’t breath.. besides transplant. So you have to be proactive in your approach to combating that.

Well the time as come for this strange DDa mystery girl to meet her end. She hasn’t done much in the last 5-6 days and her water intake has pretty much stopped. She didn’t bulk or finish properly because she’s rootbound in her 10L bucket. It’s a shame I don’t get to see her full expression because she smells absolutely delicious. She smells like overripe mango and rose water. I’ve got a clone of her in coot soil vegging right now, so sometime in the distant future we’ll see what she’s really capable of.

today is day 51

Here’s my DDamystery sample bud

Hopefully it’s got some nice effects.

also, my It’s It Punch got its malted barley top dress a couple days ago, and here comes the fungi like gang busters.

the fungi goes crazy for the stuff, and it makes me happy to see that my soil is alive and well. That IIP is starting to bud and frost up. ive been trying to defóliate her a bit everyday.. except she’s got these pencil thin fingers that make it feel a bit unnecessary.

She’s already giving off a very strong berry scent

Your bagseed/mystery plant is looking pretty impressive. Some of the best strains ever came from bagseed. Who knows what gem you have on your hands?

It’s true, she seems like a good strain. It’ll be interesting to see her flower in a pot that will keep her happy all the way through flower. If you guys remember she grew for almost 2 months in that pot before she went into flower. She was probably struggling with root space even before she got flipped. Hopefully the effect of the cured bud is my cup of tea.

Nothing of monumental proportions but it appears I will have a modest reward for my work reversing my Garlic Sherbert plant. I've learned my lesson reversing a bottom branch on a plant up-potted into an 8 gallon fabric pot that I can't move. With my bad back and bad knees I was unable to "get down and get in there" to harvest the pollen. So I took to thumping the treated branch and small side branches to jar some pollen loose. My play, as always is to pollinate just the branch I reverse and maybe one other branch. The "THUMP" method will of course have some collateral damage but that's okay. If you've made seeds before you'll recognize what you're seeing in these photos. No matter how many times I do this I still get excited to see the seeds forming and growing. Especially when they are from a strain where the seeds are $20.00 apiece. ;)
