Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

How were the buds on the NL plant? Nice and dense I'm hoping?

I’d say they are as dense, or maybe slightly less dense, than the Star pupil. Which are the most solid nugs I’ve ever seen, home grown or otherwise. So yes, extraordinarily dense. One of the colas weighed like 180g wet. The buds got easily twice as thick as the SP.

Alright so a few hoots on the ol’ chalice and I’ve gotta say. For as green of bud as is possible, this star pupil is way dank.

wow, that last hit even had a hint of star pupil funk in the flavor of it. That’s a new one for me, and without even a day of cure. I may be jumping the gun, but I think I surpassed the last SP by a significant amount. Obviously in weight, but in quality as well. I will be patiently waiting for this girl to have 4+ weeks undisturbed jar time.
@beez0404 i know you have that SP seed set aside, but have you finally plotted out a spot for her? I know you’re a busy man, but I think you’ll be in love. Between effect and bag appeal she’s a home run. The aroma ain’t half bad either. She’s got this kind of weird, old leather couch thing. @Morglie says it’s antique mall stank

Alright well I’m gonna go on talking to myself tonight. It’s alright, I know everyone will catch up. I just started doing some calculations and I’m actually a bit dumbfounded. Obviously, I will do a true weigh in of the dried produce, but here are some theoreticals;

Star Pupil
567g wet
128g dry estimate
Cookies n Chem 2
413g wet
93g dry estimate
Cookies n Chem 1
257g wet
58g dry estimate
Northern Lights
940g wet
212g dry estimate

totals
2177g wet
492g dry estimate
440w
7.11ft^2

492g
17.35oz
1.12g/w
69.2g/ft^2
730g/m^2

I also did it with a +/-5% variation. Just in case the initial formula is off in some way. I doubt it would be off by much more.

467-517g
16.48-18.22oz
1.06-1.18g/w
65.7-72.7g/ft^2
694-768g/m^2
That’s fucking crazy if I do say so myself... somebody check my math

Incredible high quality results amigo!!!

Have you picked out strains for your next grow yet?
My next 4 girls up for flowering will be the Sour Bubba, a clone of the Northern Lights, a grandpa glue and I think either a Sour Bubba clone or a star pupil clone. After that plant 5 will be the Xanadu

I’ve wandered into unknown territory by going perpetual. I’m hoping I can have a harvest every other or every 3rd week this year.

It's exciting to hear you are going perpetual - and we'd like to follow along on your journey of discovery.

We've put quite a lot of thought into a second grow space too. In the veg tent, we could have seedlings, clones, males - and especially an autoflower.

A veg tent and even a drying tent really opens the doors to many possibilities.

Alright, gotta go - the Mrs wants to head out to get a few custom doughnuts from a local Mom n Pop bakery here in town.

Good on you for supporting a local bakery. We need more of that.
I dry in my fridge and I have an extra closet with my growing supplies that has space up high for hanging.
my veg tent has moms, clones, new plants, and the plants that are nearly ready for flower. I think I’m going to try either a DWC auto or a hempy auto in my veg tent pretty soon.

you are welcome to take a seat and follow along with me as I begin my journey into bimonthly harvests. I’m really excited at the possibility of harvesting ~25 plants per year. I’ll be able to get through my whole seed collection in just a few years.

Just a quick update here. I up potted today and topped (a few days ago) my Grandpa Glue. She’s going to have 12 mains, just like my Northern Lights did. She should be ready to flower in about 4 weeks, maybe less. I tucked all her fans out of the way so the tops could be seen.

Looking good, Grandpa Glue is a gorgeous plant.
Thanks Penny. She’s seems to want heavier N too. I upped her feed to 1.5x the recommended cause she’s consistently been yellow around the bottom. So we’ll see how she responds.

Penny I remember you saying my SB could use with some veg time before I flipped her. Here she is today, you think she’s ready? It’s been a week since you last saw her I think.

Just depends on how much vertical space you have to work with. Bigger plants = bigger flowers.
She could probably go a few more inches vertically, but I’d really rather get her flowering. If I wait too long I’m going to run into trouble with space in the veg tent.

that picture may be slightly misleading. She’s been heavily LST’d and hasn’t been topped at all. Her trunk follows the rim of the pot around. All of her leaders have alternating nodes, so she’s quite mature albeit short.

Ok in the end it’s just personal preference. She’s sexually mature so she’s ready anytime you are.
Yeah I think tonight will be her first 12/12.

so I think I’m going to pop another Xanadu here soon actually. The one I’ve got has lots of finger overlap and is already smelling of kush. I’m pretty sure she’s heavy bubba leaning, but we’ll see how she flowers. I’d like a BH7 heavy pheno. She’s most likely going to have longer thinner leaves, wouldn’t you think Penny?

Flip them..…….flip them all! Pop more beans !! Speaking of beans how long do you guys think it takes for newly harvested, mature seeds to dry completely to the point you want to put them up and store them? I was told by a trusted friend who breeds all his own seeds that 1 month is ideal. He says that under 1 month drying time your rate of successful germination drops X% for every couple days under 1 month. I think this calls for an experiment!

I just harvested (yesterday and today) these Jellium X Alien OG fem seeds off of my Alien OG plant. I'm going to spread them out on a piece of paper towel. At one week I'll try to germinate a seed. At two weeks I'll try another. Week three, same thing. Curious to see if a seed drying for 1 week will germinate.
