Terpenes are weird. It’s certainly just a combination of a few known terpenes, but the conceived result is thanksgiving smell.. I know you guys are joking around though. I think it’s the cedar and turpentine profile mixing with the fruitier side resulting in a strange savory smell

Opening the tent is a blast of grapefruit.. but a closer sniff is that cedar/woody/turpentine kind of smell, but not sweet... and rubbing the sugar leaves provides that thanksgiving kind of smell initially... after a few minutes your fingers just smell of grapefruit. It’s very complex and deep... there are layers going on

You ever notice how different buds smell differently on the same plant?
Never really noticed, I’m not great with smells.

Can’t say I have either, my sniffer is out to lunch after so many allergy medications. I’ll notice the most predominant smell but that’s it.
Same here, I can tell the major terpenes but no clue as far as more subtle smells.

It’s a skill you acquire through practice, I don’t think it’s necessarily inherent. Part of it is the different distances at which you smell it. If you put your nose up to your flowers and breath in while moving your face away, you can catch the tail end of the scent and pick up on some of the more subtle things.
