CFL - Bag Seed - Soil - First Grow

Well on the bright side you still have the clones...right? Are they still in the same cabinet as the mother? I saw your setup drawing and you have then in the upper part of the cabinet? If so is it possible you are getting light leak from there and stressed the mother out?

nope clones are gone.. one to a friend and another 1 sold to a commercial grower.. wanted something different. in regarding to the light leak, there is a black out window covering that is covering the entire cab from top to bottom. i honestly think it was the defol i did the day before yesterday. clipping what i did was i'm assuming, to much. i'm devastated.. i'm not really counting on any return from this plant now, so i'm not sure what i'm gonna do. i guess go to herbies and buy some seeds, and try again.. smh.. what a devastating turn of events..

What about letting it run it's course? Would it produce feminized seeds for you? Probably easier and quicker to start over, i suppose. Wish i could mail you one of my plants...It sucks, and I'm out of smoke so all I can do is just sit and stare at my little plants and wait! Hurry up and GROW! LOL

you are so correct antics.. yeah i clipped 6 total today.. so i will def stay on top of it.. but with her producing the pollen sacs i won't get a full yield out of her, cause she will be busy producing saks. what about the quality of bud? will it be reduced as well?
i'm def not killing her cause a plant is better then no plant. i know this is my first one, but i was so just doing so well. i had no idea it would turn that quickly.. lol oh the garden got me this time..

You are growing a bagseed and it could have came from a mother that hermie also....I have read up on this and it seems if the mother hermied then the seeds would most likely also. You did find the seed in a bag of bud so its possible! In my opinion this is the downfall of growing bag seeds.... I dont think the defoliation really did this to the plant. I rather pay $5-20 for a known feminized strain!

I may be wrong but doesn't the clones also have high possibility to hermie also? After all the clones are the same plant!

Sorry for this PositiveGrape just keep picking them off! They can grow over night! Im not sure about the quality of the bud if they hermie.

yeah i read up on it this morning.. yes on the hermie seeds and the hermi clones.. fail fail and super fail.. hahaha and i agree for sure on buying and knowing wtf your getting.. i'm already adding up my nickles.. i think i'm gonna go auto and photo flower at the same time.. i can play with the photo while the auto just gets me smoke in 60 days.. or so herbies says. even if it's 70 or 80 its' smoke right.. and then i can really play with the photo plant.. i really enjoy the LST'ing as you can see from this current girl.. i'll be choosing seeds within the next few days so i'll be sure to get some input.

at this point i'm really just going to keep growing this plant because it's my first one.. honestly, i think if it wasn't the first, i would pull it.. but with my vacation coming at the end of this month, and the lack of money for the LED's, i'mma just going to let it grow grow grow.. and see what happens.. maybe the canna gods will bless me with some dankness even tho the obvious.. it is truly heart breaking tho.. thanks again for all the kind words... and i'll keep everyone posted..

If you wish to continue with your grow you will have to remove the male pollen sacks. I do not believe the defoliation has cause your plant to become a hermaphrodite, your clones will also be hermaphrodites.
 
Hey hey hey.. sooo very interesting.. after that one initial smack in the face, i have had no other issues.. not even one sac. i did end up cutting the tiny little offshoot that was covered in sacs.. there were probably 3-5 on that one offshoot at the top where there should have been a flower. i've been doing alot of research and some plants will produce a branch like that on the bottom due to lack of light. i can across several different articles of this issue. where it's only on the bottom portion on the plant, and very localized areas of low light. i'm hoping/praying that this was the issue.. i'll be honest i think she is coming along nicely.. over the weekend she was closed up as i was outta town. so when i opened it today it was even more frosty and hairy.. i took lots of pics, with the loupe on the 60X.. i'm trying to get my practice in so when the time comes for actual judging the pics are nice a clear.. i'm sure you'll enjoy it.. i love this kinda shit..

Update time..

Well not really.. hahaha not to much to update.. just watching the colas frost up.. it's pretty incredible.. i'm on a full strength feeding with tiger bloom. 1.5 teaspoons in every 1/2 gallon of water every other feeding.. which occurs about every 3-4 days.. and SHE LOVES IT.. every time i feed her with the bloom, all her leaves point to the sky.. for like a solid 24 hrs.. it's like her hands are up saying YEEEESSSS feed me moreeee.. hahahaha anyways.. other then that, everything is groovy

I think she is finally done with the stretch.. I'm on day 31 so it's gotta be close.. if that's the case, then i really did this one good.. i've got about 2.5 inches of space left.. so i'm very happy with the final height. now she can just blow up with fat colas.. on to the pics...

You can really see the tricome production is making some HUGE mushrooms.. i mean you can almost see then with your naked eye.. and i'm only on day 31!!!! so thats all my goods.. any comments questions or concerns.. please.. lemme know..

yeah from your experience, using around 150watts of CFL's you think their turning out ok.. when i look at other CFL journals, it's hard to compare what your growing.. she seems happy to me. and i'm loving the frost.. i might be producing the plant of the month for September.. hahaha thanks for the love G daddy..
