CFL - Bag Seed - Soil - First Grow

LOL! May i ask the purpose of the screwdriver? Come on guys we all have rigged up something kinda funny at some point.....
 
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you guys are so awesome.. this is exactly what i needed this friday morning..

soo it's actually being used as a weight. the twine itself is actually touching 2 cfls. this will attest to it's low heat amazingness. this twine has been stretched across it for over 2 months now. now discoloration or anything.

the screwdriver is holding down the first CFL you see. i needed another inch or so away from a cola, so i weighted down the dark end and it worked like a charm... quick fix as this girl is growing SOOOOO much..

so i gave her a 1/4 dose of FF tiger bloom.. amazing.. that stuff really is the shit. she loved it.. i'm gonna bump her up to a 1/2 dose next watering.. she is looking nice and hairy.. i'll grabb some pics this afternoon..

so thanks again for everything guys, this really made me laugh.. it's funny, my girlfriend actually says to me the other day, you know these guys have so much knowledge and here you are hanging lights inside roasting pans and hanging screwdrivers on lamps.. and we chuckled about it, and my response was, was you know what, if it works awesome.. i bet they'll love the suicidal screw driver.. and then i read this.. you guys are so awesome..

hahaha yeah i figured for 300 watts, $106 shipped is an amazing deal.. thanks for the heads up, i skyped her already so hopefully i get a response..

on to the bud porn.. i took some great pics. also i got in the loupe.. pretty cool.. if i smash the phone up to the loupe with the phone on the highest zoom (8X) on the 60X loupe it takes some pretty neat shots.. i'mma have to practice tho.. between the shakes and the plant moving, ah well you can see..

hey huntro.. thanks for the compliments.. it really is incredible.. i'm floored by the who process so far.. i love it.. what a great hobby..
i'm very interested in the LEDs.. i'm loving the info where for 300w of light you only using 170ish watts of actual power.. thats amazing in my eyes..

now on the stacking.. right now she's on a 9 inch commercial kitchen bus tub. it's been stable for the whole run so far.. but unfortunately i'm guessing.. when the lights flip on tomorrow morning she's gonna be touching some CFL's.. so the 8"'s that the buss tub gave me is gonna be replaced with 6" of something.. i'm gonna search around the house and see what i come up with..

yeah when i did the skype request thing i realized that sara is actual sarah HU.. lol so then i see from china and realized.. that does allow me to understand alittle bit more of why a 300w light is only $107 but it says it's shipped from the USA for free cause it's warehoused somewhere her in the states.. anyone have any knowledge...

and yes. all the sponsors i've spoken with have been amazing.. everything about :420: is the SHIT!!!

And as far as the LED that is correct TopLed has a warehouse here in the US. They stock most of there lights there so its a faster ship to us here in the states! Talk about taking care of customers!
 
alittle saturday morning update...

just as i anticipated, when i opened up the cab this morning.. they were basking only around 1/2 inch away from the lights..

hahaha so i removed the bus tub, and replaced with............... solo cups.. lolol. yes your standard red solo cup.. thats giving me between 4-6 inches of space between the colas and lights.. alittle more then i wanted, but today i'm at day 19.. so i figure i'm half way thru.. give her alittle space..

so lemme ask, how many top colas do you see here? i'm counting 15.. whats your count..

so i'm preparing for the first defol around the 21st day.. she's super bushy, and i def want to trim her down. i'll be taking all fans that are shading any lower sites and most fans under the first 4 on each stem.. i think i wanna really get her naked because something tells me that by the time the second defol comes around on day 45, she's gonna be super bushy again.. also i wanna try a test when it gets around to the correct time. i read on this site that if you clip the top of the bud off like 2 weeks before approx harvest it really fattens up the colas.. i think i'm gonna try it on only one of the colas.. and see what happens.. anyone have any input here..

i'll also be feeding today or tomorrow.. going from 1/4 strength to 1/2 strength on the tiger bloom.. i really like the results just from that first dose.. so i'm excited what else she brings..

I'm counting 15 also. A little defoliation might be something to consider if you have any fan leaves blocking any bud sites. But always try to tuck them out of the way first. Usually you can just tuck about half of them or more, and it eliminates a lot of cutting. I use the grower's method that I cut as little as possible. Others have great results with aggressive defoliation. It's all about what works best for you.

I see you have the same, or similar honeywell fan that I do. I'm actually using it as a fan/filter combo in my closet. It blows a lot of air, but isn't quite as strong when it's sucking air through tights filled with carbon lol.

hey buddy.. yeah i'm gonna do probably a simi aggressive defol in the next few days.. there are some shady sites i wanna get rid of.. so nothing to major, but i will be taking around 15-20ish fans..

now for the fan, it works AMAZING for what i wanted. what i did is made a deodorizer bucket.. i had a shitty used 5 gal that i poked around 40 holes in.. i melted a notch in the top to hang a S hook, that holds the fan, as the bracket ON the fan holds the other side.. i USE the handle to come up and lock the fan in place as well. i swear. it's almost like they made this shit to go together.. lol

so in the bottom there about 4 to 5 inches of fresh water, and i mixed up around probably a 1/2 cup of ona pro into the water and mixed it up really well.

i love it. it lives in the area where the bed room meets the living room, just chilling in the corner.. when on any speed it works AMAZING.. for a cheap de-odorizing method this is TOP OF THE LIST!!

So basically for less then $20 bucks i have no more odor issue.. WHAT SO EVER.. and the white noise in the hallway is nice.. so it's really a win win.. ALso a FYI, it's been in the corner for 2 days.. and not 1 of the 3 roommates have even noticed.. score... lol

So the plant is looking amazing.. the buds are getting super hairy and just loving life.. only a few shots today..

gonna do another feeding today.. 1/2 gall of water with 1/2 strength tiger bloom. she seemed to love the 1/3 strength so lets giver her alittle more.. i wanna see fat just oozing with yumminess budds.. as soon as the roommates drink the gal of milk in the fridge i will making the CO2 container.. Should only be a few more days..

Other then that nothing really to report.. happy as clam and still just loving you people and so thankful for the knowledge and treat you've given me.. i showed a very good friend yesterday a pic, and they were flabbergasted.. this is a smoker of 20 years, couldn't believe i was doing this with a bag seed.. lol so again guys.. thanks for everything..

thanks for the advice king. i do like that one better, but it's also 40 or so dollars more expensive.. but i like how i can have both veg and flower light in one light.. damn that money thing.. always holding me back.. lol.. no i'll probably go with that.. i mean thats the equivalent to 300W hps of MH bulb right? so if i have 2, one for veg and one for flower, is that the same as a 600w bulb or no, cause it's in 2 different places.. can someone elaborate here? also i was approached by a friend of a friend to sell some clones. i was going to do a few flowering clones as i'm on day 22 right now. i have alot of little growth on the bottom i was gonna chop. now on the flowering clones, how long will the rooting take, and can they be put back over into veg mode to grow. i see how beautiful this plant is now, and i'd love to preserve her genes alittle.. any idea's here guys. also what kinda cost do you charge per clone? another friend said between 100-150 per healthy clone? any idea's here guys..

otherwise.. she's just budding up.. getting hairy.. and stinking like hell..

I would never buy a clone when I have my own plant. Try cloning and see for yourself. How to Clone a Cannabis Plant Yes you can re-veg a flowering cutting, it takes time but you have lots while you wait for your girl to finish flowering.

I prefer starting from seed myself.
