Cause She's A Brix House - Noob's OG Kush & Carnival In DBHBB

Nice growlow, we have assimilated another grower into the high brix swarm. and Duggan, wow! Glad you are all ok. I would get some neck braces for you and the youngins and teach em how to act hurt and sad. "Why yes judge we were driving to church to help feed the homeless when this guy came out of nowhere and hit us. He was screaming "how do you like that??? I'm going to stop you do gooders if it's the last thing I do!!!!"
Oh and guess what? Doc just started carrying gallons. I got a bunch coming...

Good news for me... Every time I turn around it seems I'm doing a rescue or super drench. Wipes out over a half kits worth of transplant at a time. I just ordered the quart/liter? size. Maybe it will last a little longer. Will look into pricing of the gallon size.... or learn to grow properly lol!

I'm starting to get the impression I'm going to need more of the bottled stuff to get to the end or is it different strain to strain? Any advice on the Bloodmeal side of things bloke?

Hey GL, No you will be fine. Doc has set you up good for a good and proper first round. There is enough of everything in the kit as is! Like i said though , if i were you , i would , next time that is, order the bigger , one liter bottles, or go with gal's. but i can't cuz of the crazy shipping to me here in Canada! As far as the blood meal goes, no you don't need that either, not yet...I've never needed it . That's only for special strains, not for all and it is highly recommended to use the kit , as is for a few rounds to get used to it and get a proper feel for all the why and how's. it's easy , peasy GL, you will see bud. So glad you made the switch , and like Shiggs just said, you have been assimilated and resistance is futile! Cheers to ya GL. Any more Q's. fire away bud.:Namaste:

That deserves another virtual joint. :passitleft:
Thanks Sue..it was quite a night . We are all ok and should hear from the insurance adjuster early next week to set up a meeting for him or her to look the truck over. I'm hoping for a cash buyout ...but if they do that for me, can i still drive it and be insured by them still or what? Anyhow , thanks for everything SS. Cheers ...and what are ya doin tonight woman?

I blanked and forgot to acknowledge this part. You know that my build in my garage was done with the purpose of having room for that exact purpose. Living in the tropics most of my life I learnt early to have a back up indoor plan when it came to soil mixing etc. I use a really basic method of mixing which I'm going to share in a tutorial. For those who have physical ailments that diminish ones ability to mix up dirt and move around big totes. Like you I use a tarp preferably square tip shovel but mine has gone "walkabout" so I'll have to use my round point with some caution as to not poke holes through my tarp. On a level garage floor it shouldn't be too hard to do. Other than that I use a rake and you're good to go. Great minds think alike my mate ;)
Waddaya know eh pal! I should have known bud...just don't know when to keep my mouth shut. I know i sometimes give advise and things that the people already know...but i feel if start holding back , i won't say anything, and i truly do wanna help others do what took me a lot of years to get comfortable with , ya know! These new growers coming in to our lil world are very fortunate to have sooo much knowledge here just for their pickin. I also would like to them have fun learning along the way and not be afraid to join in or start a journal. Anyhow , have an awesome night GL..cheers bud!:high-five:

Ya,...i wonder how much to get three or four gallons shipped to me....Yikes ! I'm not joking Shiggs...shipping to me is fu^&*g brutal! Thanks for the kind words about the accident pal. Just hoping i can get a lil cash out of it. Would help me pay for my vacation this winter...:ganjamon: Have an awesome night would ya my friend!:Namaste:

Ya , what's up with that. A lot of you guys are doin that. I've never needed to do it. I still only use the basic kit instructions with the addition of using the OG Drench a couple times and of course , i love the Way AheadX10 W Brix. Other than that ...dunno...it'd definitely a strain thing . I've never used blood meal either...just no need yet .My favourite Kit ingredient is by far GE..they , the plants just love that stuff! cheers Mason, and have an awesome long weekend bud!

hey Noob....just keepin it warm around here pal.....:tokin:

This long post ........................sent from my DeLorean...in the future!

Polished concrete slab, shovel and rake....perfect for mixing soil. Tarp too.

On my first grow, the soil went flat about 1-2 weeks into flower, just before the Cat Drenches. I don't know how it happened. I though I was following kit instructions.

This time I think the Super Drench was precautionary and suggested by Doc since the same strain went flat last time. Whatever the reason, She's looking beautiful. She smells better too. Not much "diesel", more citrus (citrusy?) is that even a word... lol I hated the smell of the last grow with this strain. Even now that it is cured, I don't like the smell, although it is extremely potent. I'm getting rave reviews from those who have tried it, but I think this grow is going to be on a whole new level.

I stole this strain description from another site... hot like a fire cracker!

Jock Horror is a twist on the family of strains that arose around the Jack Herer name. The mother is a Haze 19 x Skunk, a hazey hybrid cross of Holland and California strains. Jock's father is an old-school Northern Lights, a mostly indica plant taken from a 20-year stable Afghan x Skunk #1 cross whose line was preserved in the marijuana mecca of America's Pacific northwest. Jock Horror is its own original strain derived from the breeding work and the genetic collection of the Nirvana team. In this interpretation, Nirvana combines a sativa haze, hybrid Skunk, and indica Northern Lights in a three-way cross that is mostly sativa. Jock Horror's rich flavour is made up of sweet and citrus elements wrapped in a sharp, Hazey tang. When smoked, its effect is a combination of powerful body stone and soaring cerebral high. It is a good strain for going out dancing, enjoying time with friends, or just making something dull more tolerable and possibly entertaining.

Yeah I will more than certainly do that on my next order. I was glad to reaffirm my initial impression which was that I had everything I needed. Not that I mind if I need more of something. Just trying to play catch up on all you cool kids :P I kid (badump chh). I'm really excited to be using the Doc's kit and am very grateful so many of you have run it and that gives me plenty of resource for reference. With that said I'm confident I've got a handle on things. Ready to get this baby rolling. I'll be sure to start a new thread here shortly. Cheers again me ol mate. Sending some healing vibes to you and your boys mate :)

Still feeling weak. Had to have my girls bring my 5 gallon jugs upstairs for me. But I managed to get them watered and happy. They missed their daddy. :)

What week of bloom are you in, and how long has it been since the last CD?

:hmmm: I'm wondering if you have time to cycle them through another cation switch. Have they had 2 GEs since the last switch? If you're 7 weeks or less since flip, you still have time. :hmmm: Carnival in HB can easily go 10 weeks.

Whassup Noob?
I know u heard it all before. ...
Welcome back. Thank Duggan for keeping this yard tidy.
All the Stellas' are gone tho. :)

Hey Graytail. Did you see the size of the pistols on the Carnivals? They are so thick.

I am just over 7 weeks from flip. My last cat drench was on 8/12, so just over 4 weeks since. I have given 2 GE drenches. I didn't know you could give another round of cat. The OGKs will be finishing up in the next couple of weeks. The Carnivals are bigger than the OGKs which surprised me. I just gave everyone plain RO last night.

Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks
