Cause She's A Brix House - Noob's OG Kush & Carnival In DBHBB

Morning Duggs! Gonna be a busy day. I am putting the girls in flower under the scrog I built. I plan on spraying with destress then because of the stress of the move and because I SC one last time the night before last. I was going to spray then but I figured it would be better to spray after moving them into the flower tent. Many pictures to come on both journals.

Cheers

Sad Update

It's a sad day in the Noob household. Our beloved dog has a degenerative spinal disease and it finally took hold. It was overnight. I went outside to feed her and our other dog, who is also her sister, some leftovers from the fridge. She didn't get up but she was eating the pizza fine enough. Then I noticed that she wouldn't get the piece I threw at her that missed. I went over and noticed she was laying in mud. So I tried to coax her to get out of it because she comes in the house at night. She willed herself up and dragged her lower half out of the mud. It brought a lump in my throat because I knew...
The vet we go to told us to keep her comfortable and gave us some pain pills and muscle relaxers until we can get her in to the clinic to end her suffering. We are waiting until our daughter, who is interning in Spokane, can come home to say goodbye. She is an old girl so she has lived a long life. But she has been slowly going deaf and blind. It's too much to watch. My son knows somethings up with her too. He just keeps petting her saying "goo gir, goo gir".
It's amazing how much a pet can change your perspective on life.

I know an update on my plants seems trivial and moot, but I have questions and I need to continue to do the things I love.

I finally got the scrog trailer park engineered (zip ties and duct tape) into the tent. The tent used to suck in due to my ventilation system. It would decrease the square footage. With the scrog in, that problem has gone away.

I got the plants moved in and they will be stretching through the screens very soon. They got a 1/4 trans water and they were sprayed with destress before lights out.

It's getting dusty in here... BRB

Forgot to ask my question. Duggan, Am I supposed to add the extra amendment that came with the kit that I didn't add to the soil to cook to the soil now that they are in flower? Cat drench. Didn't you say it would speed up the flowering cycle by adding it a little early? Now that I am in flower, do I add less water and water more often to keep them moist? I'm sorry for all the questions on here but I thought this would be a good venue to address them in case another Noob high brixer sees this journal.
I appreciate yours and everyone else's help with this grow Duggs.

Thanks

Extra amendment or recharge? The recharge is added in flower to prep it for the next run. Ive done the early cat drench for a couple of years and found that it does not speed up the flowering cycle. It just aids the plant in going reproductive when she already ready anyway.

I don't say much on here any more but just so you know ive been using the kit for almost 4 years...good luck :)

OK Noob....First your "lad"....i had tears bud. I know exactly how you feel. I remember putting Max and Duggan down like it was two hours ago! Different cancers took them both . they were my everything for 17 years...and i loved them like my sons. I will never get another...i can't take the pain of losing them. I know that may not be the right thing to do ... but it's how i feel. Your pain is real and i feel it for you my friend. I could go on ...but....it brings back too much.

Your set up...ya since your plants are larger and the soil is first run...i would give the "Recharge " right before next drink....scratch it in a bit too. Make sure you mix it up as your giving it to the different pots cuz some of it is powdery OK. If you've given two drinks since last "Drench" than give the opposite Drench as last one...got it bud. Just like the original instructions. So , if you gave a Transplant Drench then go with G.E. and Tea. Always give a lil Tea with all the different Drenches. your girls are getting nice bud....something i would grow....i mean big is all...:bravo:
Now for the CD and stuff. Do ya wanna try an early CD series...or later , like in the instructions...up to you bud...doesn't matter too much ...both ways work great. With the early ones , i noticed clusters and resin start to form a little faster than not but the other plants did catch up...just like Tard said there.
with your screen...i see you still have about 8" or so you can raise your light , correct...this is good , cuz your gonna need it. Lets hope they don't stretch too much ....if you can win that battle , you will have a harvest you won't believe. Don't forget Noob...as the stretch starts and they start coming thru the screen...you still have to keep the leaders in check with some SCing OK...don't let two or three run away from you ...they will give you grief later on! Hope this helps bud...cheers and have an awesome night Noob and friends!:circle-of-love::Namaste::high-five:

I'll be honest duggan, I skipped the last Growth energy drench because I was worried it would make the plants grow out of the closet. I gave them a trans water instead. I will give them a GE drench next time I water. Then, I will just do the Cat drench like the instructions say.
I'm hoping I can weave the tops in to slow the stretch a bit. 8 inches is exactly how far I can move it up. The heat under the light isn't very warm so I'm hoping I will be ok. I thought about adding the 400 watt light to the tent after my northern lights plant is finished. Still not sure.
Thanks duggs

Sounds like you've got a plan...remember though bud, when ya start to weave the tops like your sayin....you will encourage many side branches to explode and turn upward. This creates a very thick canopy, so you need the room, get ready to add the 400....you will need it . Can you control the extra heat from adding it? Cheers .

Noob... I'm stressed just looking at your scrog compared to mine. :lot-o-toke:

I'm choosing not to do a scrog this time, but I was going to. It wasn't going to be a true scrog. More of canopy management and support for a beast of a plant. I was going to let her spread out under the screen, then let her grow about 6 - 8 inches through it. Look for the best and tallest tops and prune all the rest just before the stretch ended. Kind of thin out the canopy that way. I don't know how well that would have worked, but it sure does look beautiful in my head.

I cannot wait to see how you tackle yours. Much popcorn will be needed...

We need some kind of song to send Noob off to flower with. A battle song? or the incredible hulk sad walking away song....

Definitely something in D minor :tommy:

That sucks about your dog noob. I had a miniature schnauzer growing up and she had diabetes. It was only a matter of time. She started having seizures...I feel for ya bud.

As for your girls, they are looking great my man. That scrog is bad ass! So you flipped them to flower and now put in the Scrog? We did ours just over half full then flipped. Curious how this will pan out for ya. High brix scrog in the hoise!

She's such a trooper. She's ok from the hips forward so she just drags her body around. I have to carry her up the stairs when she goes outside. She's drugged up so she doesn't know she's in pain. My son follows her around and wants to be by her all the time. It's really a sight to see. He has such a big heart at such a young age.

The scrog is there to help me control the stretch. I'm hoping it will work. It has to. That and super cropping.
Thanks for checking it out buddy.

Cheers

That's the attitude, no room for failure. :high-five: I'll be watching with interest too. Tell me you didn't think of tossing a piece of heavy wire fencing onto them? It'd probably work. :laughtwo:

Evenin' Noob. :hugs::hugs::hugs:
