Carestaker's - Hybrid LED / HPS Powered 4x4 - Various Strains

Yeah Carestaker, Cotton Candy is a fast re-vegger. I'll be looking forward to your smoke report so I'll know what to expect from this strain when grown properly.

You are in for a treat I think. I let her go an extra week, and I'm very glad I did. She needs it to come together, as test buds weren't ready at 8 weeks. She's aromatic, potent, and fun. She's quite stinky too! I'll expand on all of this when I post my growing experience, and smoke reports, of each strain. I'm stoked for you Reg! :peace::Namaste:

I didn't have time to get any life like images of Panama nugs, but I will when I return. She put out lots of solid, dense buds, with a crust of very trichs of very varied sizes and types. She seem to be a bit more amber than when I pulled her. Sweet, super smooth smoke.

Peace and love!

Nice n frosty! Congrats again!

Thanks SD! I'm smoking some now. Somewhat mellow, but very present UP high, with almost zero body buzz. Nothing but good mental vibrations. :volcano-smiley:

I was staring at the Panama pics for a long time...locked into it. Beautiful flowers. Legendary.

Brightlight, Thanks for the Reps+ and kind words! :thanks: She does feel like something special. I wish I could toss you a branch! :passitleft:

Very nice pics of Panama, CS!

That bud shape and distribution is familiar. I was struck by the pompom sort of grouping down the stems, and mine got a little distorted from the cat drench swell, but they had that pointed dome shape yours have, too. It was really fun to follow your grow! How would you rate the potency? I was about to post about mine but I just realized I shouldn't prejudice your report, heheh.

I'm glad to hear that you see something unique in the strain like I did. It's kind of in a category of its own, from my experience with close to 20 strains. Growth habit, pace, structure - they all seemed just a little different from all the others. Fun plant to grow. :cheesygrinsmiley:

You're always on the money GT. Incredible plant. She's not fussy, grows fast and vigorous, and produces dense resin covered satjva nugs in about 10 weeks. I don't know yet how potent she is, as she's still coming together in the jars. She wasn't very strong at pull, but has make big strides during the first week of cure. I've taken some test buds, and the most recent was pretty strong, and promising of much more. From day one, I found her to be beautiful, and expressive. She was fun too, as you said. Can't wait to get home, to enjoy some of her :volcano-smiley: No smoke on this trip, sadly.

Duderino it's looking incredible. :volcano-smiley: :yummy:

Nice job :thumb:

Thank you, your dudeness! :high-five: She's a crusty girl, I'm hoping we'll get along. When I return in a week or so, I'll be playing around with her, seeing how high the ceiling might be ;) and what her effects are. I've got a lot of catching up to do, as there's no smoke on this trip. Total sadface. :(

I'll just have to buckle down when I get back, and sample the 5 strains in detail. Might take days, weeks, who knows... :volcano-smiley:

Hello to anyone still subbed in, and best to my :420: friends!

It's been two months since my last post. I needed a break from growing in general, after a long stretch of being perpetual. Those that have a heavy work load, and a busy life, in addition to the love of growing - know that it can intrude a bit into life, more than is warranted. This is my way of finding some balance. Anyway - I've smoked every day of that, minus the time in the islands. Ms Staker and I has some fun, a great trip. Anyway, I'll have to update here and get my strain reviews up. I'll try to start that today to tomorrow.

A teaser...

Panama is a winner. She will either set you right for a long time, or she will knock you out, if you overindulge. Strawberry Blue, is an incredible plant. Her finished product is simply stunning in taste, aroma and effect. I will order some more. Fruit Punch is one to watch too. Cotton Candy left me a little flat, but she is also a great genetic. I will likely not order more of her though. More soon! :peace::thanks::420:

Great to hear from you again, CS! :thumb:

(I should germinate my Strawberry Blue) :cheesygrinsmiley:

Same to you Gray :high-five: I very much missed my friends here ! I'll be ordering and paying for my next round of StrawBlue, which says a lot, seeing that I have so many seeds on hand to toss. She's just a peach to grow, and smoke, and she's a moderately clear and happy Sativa dom. I would love to see her in your setup. A Panama X StrawberryBlue would be nice to see. Which brings me to the review of Panama, that I need to get together to post. I should be doing that later today. Hope all is well in your grow GT! I'll swing by your place tonight - to get caught up on your hijinks :)

:peace::Namaste:

Welcome back my friend. Panama is definitely on my list to try list.

Good to be welcomed and back, thanks Smiles! I hope to get a grow/smoke report of Panama up today. She is quite a nice strain and grow; you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to see what you got cook'n.

Peace, Love and great green nugs! :peace::Love::Namaste::cheertwo:

ACE seeds Panama
(Sprout 5/6, Topped 5/23, Photo 6/20, Flower 6/26, Harvest 9/4)

Some notes about my experience with Ace Seed's Panama.

I'm smoking it now, and it's quite nice, but let's start from seed, and work forward in time.

My singular Panama was germinated in a paper towel, and then grown out in soil. She was unremarkable in the first few days, but after two weeks, she picked up some speed and a nice shine. She did not require much care/nute at all in Veg. She seemed to be a bit N sensitive in Veg, as you can see by the pic below. The pic below was at just under 6 weeks Veg, and was the day before the flip at 18" with ~12 tops. Her pot was 3gal, with high porosity, and she yielded about 170 grams, with a 10 week flower.

After the flip, she really exploded. She had great vigor in Veg, but in transition she really showed her strength. She went a bit more than 200% in a manageable stretch, to 43'' or so. Other than the topping and some gentle arrangement, I let her do her thing. With my nutrients, I had to be somewhat careful about feeding her, but she took high levels of nutes, and didn't really complain much. I let her go 10 weeks, and she finished with 10% or better amber. She yielded very well for this type of plant, and her buds are just amazing. They may not look like it in the photos, but they are dense and have good weight to them. They are also beautiful to behold in person.

Grow impressions.

There is a lot of power and elegance in this genetic. The power you can see evidenced by the plants explosive growth, and structure. She is elegant in her manner of bud building. She will produce many sites at a rush, then takes her time filling them out. There is also something very special, that I cannot express, about this girl Growers that connect with their plants in a spiritual way, will likely fall in love with this girl - for a time.

IMAG25333.jpg

Smoke Impressions.

Her aromas throughout the growth period are dominated first by skunk (Veg) and then by lemon (Flower). After cure, the finished product has an extremely pungent fresh lemon citrus front note, with a pine and earth background. The stucture of her buds is superb. It's easy to pull them apart to reveal densly packed calyx clusters, that are completely covered with resin. It's a very pleasant aroma when you handle them. Your fingers will know that you are handling some kickass herbs, as they will stick to whatever you touch afterwards.

At ignition, the lemon front note, all but disappears. It becomes this smooth chocolate, sweet earth taste, with some vanilla and spice - almost no lemon. It's a very full and round smoke, with depth to the flavor, but there's no hint of harshness.

When you take your first hit, the effect starts immediately. You can feel the fist wave, bleed the tension out of the corners of your eyes, and then it builds and moves toward the top and front of your head. After this effect settles, you will find that you are energized, focused, attentive, and yet mellow and relaxed. If you hit again, you will add euphoria to, and intensify these effects. This is the perfect plane of highness for me with this strain. Upping the dosage further is possible but the further you go, the more functionality you lose. If one goes too far, the clear headed and mellow high, will be replaced by an almost impossible-to-resist urge to sleep. I do recommend overindulging. This is a great feature of this strain. You can take 1-2 hits in the daytime and not get foggy or tired. At night, you can finish a bowl or two with your spouse, and enjoy a night that you may, or may not, even remember. In short, it's a highly functional and pleasant high - Perfect for daytime. It's also a powerful hammer to the cranium if you want to exist in a state of wonder and drool. She's tasty, productive, potent, versatile and unique. Oh, I forgot to add -The effect lasts about 2-3 hrs. Great fun to grow her too. Peace and love. :peace::Namaste:

That's one heck of a review, CS!

I agree with everything except the aromas, but we had different phenos. And I think yours may be more potent than mine, too - mine is mid to high range. It was great to see another pheno perform as well as mine did!

:thumb: :bravo:

Good to hear GT! Yeah, my pheno smells like a huge bucket of lemons. You had that purple beauty.

I think she's pretty potent too. I also should clarify that by 'hits', I mean rips. We only smoke out of bongs/bubblers - so that's one or two bong rips, and you're good. Like, really good. :) She's not the most potent of all time, but she's no slouch. I would say that she has a very strong resin, and it's unique in many aspects of her effect. I love to mix her with other herbs, she's the foundation to a lot of fun mixes. She's a great start to the day, I'm going to miss her when she's gone.

I forgot to add, I had some great seats for a much anticipated concert at Boston Garden. We can almost walk there, but instead we smoked, and then took a cab. Few pulls of Panama beforehand, and .. it was a magic night. Great social pot.

Catching up on Lester's gig right now, and then I'll be over to your place. I'm thinking there might be some resin dripping LED grown nugs over there ;)
