Carestaker's Chemdawg Crosses In Soil & Coco - 2016

Bubba is dead. Bubba was a Bubba. Never a stigma to be seen. Just balls, balls, balls. Ballfest 2016. A green sausageparty.

I'm not sure what happened, but he never looked female, and was way too tall for such an indica female. I can't ding a breeder for one seed, HSO has always done well by me. My light was on 24h for at least a day, maybe two, but that shouldn't do it. I'll post the pics, but we are down to four plants. That's cool, but I did really want to try the Gift. Maybe I'll order another. :cheertwo:

Damn CS, sux to hear about the gift, would be a pretty rare thing in a feminized batch, hope the next one works out better for you mate ;)

Thanks man. An oddity to be sure, and my first time seeing it. I'd grow her again, I'm attracted to the divas. She did finally come around though.

:laughtwo: That sucks. Just wan't meant to be I guess.

It's cool. If it was ChemD or ECSDH, I'd be a bit heartbroken, but I won't know what I'm missing. Great smoke score on leaf ly, but I can wait to try her. If they don't get too big, I'll do a fairly aggressive defol in a couple of weeks to help better the yield. These did not get stacked the way the could have, if I had consistent light through the transition. Hopefully they continue to grow some nodes over the next two weeks.

Here is the group when there was 5. This is when I noticed Bubba wasn't looking right, and I had a look under her skirt. I never would have thought that a Fem seed would be a straight up male. Wonder how that happened. Maybe some rouge pollen, or an S1 that didn't express female.

The group.

Right when I had her figured out, and past her growing pains - she nuts up. She stretched 6 inches in 2 days easily. She had an ancient look to her, that I kinda really liked. I don't have luck with GDP crosses I swear. The very stretchy, and very male Bubba's Gift, from feminized seed - had been culled 4/21 11pm RIP. More room for the others. ;)

It's good that you spotted it early. No problems for your other ladies then.

Just focus on bumping up yield on the others now. Defol will be good for that.

Good luck bud.

I got a male from fem seed once, too. But I've run 40 strains now, so that's a pretty small percent. :blunt:

Those gene thingies are tricky, eh?

Thanks Blaze, you're reading my mind. They were setup more for a shallow canopy, due to count and spacing, but now that there are only four, I'll have to get more from each plant vertically, so defol it is. :thumb:

Bad luck brother on the he man BG. Makes one wonder about overall breeder quality control. I once got a male from a high priced clone from a leading dispensary. Never thought that would happen either.:Namaste:

Truth. Could have been the seedbank too, as it wasn't a sealed pack, so I'll keep an open mind about it. It will be nice to have so much room in the tent. Tahoe is looking REAL nice, I think you're going to like her. ;)

Truly. It's the operating code of life, so I'm always fascinated by it. When it comes to these plants, and what we like to consume, there's so much to talk about and share. From what I've had lately, you would most like the ECSDH. She's dense like Panama, but more dreamy from the haze, and more energetic and powerful from the SD. Has a great flavor, Chem dankness up front, with the spicy sandlwood haze finish.

Love seeing the plants praying to the light! Looking grand and good catch on ya boy! ;)

Thanks Light. I love it too. Like the sun rising in the morning, when you've got nothing to do but watch it. ;)

Sorry CareStaker!

But you're right, the other ladies will truly love the extra space. I just love your plant training. I definitely need to take the CS 101 course on plant abuse lol!!!

Can't wait to see what they do.

Thanks Doc. :thanks: I can't wait either. My training is pretty simple and boring, I just top early, prune for 4 or 6, then tie the mains down to thicken them up. After about 10 days, I flip them and the take the trainers off. This round my light went out, and then I bungled the timer, so I had some weird stretching and not as many nodes as I'd like. Oh well.

Like this bush. She's beautiful. You can see though where one side of her got less light in Veg. I was away for a week, and didn't turn her.

ECSDH. She likes N, Ca and K, but NOT P. I'm just a little behind her N needs. Temps are running high, there's some checking visible. I need to tighten up the environment, but it's been a bit hard. AC is going in tomorrow, which will help.

I'll get the rest of the girls out tonight and will get some photos of them. SSD is going beasty.

That looks like a drawing it is so perfect.

Thanks B. She's a cutie. All 4 plants are done stretching, and I just cleaned them all up. I took the lower branches and leafs, and some of the uppers. SSD probably has the best final structure, she's got a great secondary, with 4 mains and is about 36'' from soil. Tahoe stretched hard, or twice, she just stopped at 40". ECSD and ChemD are about 34".

If anyone is interested in what I'm feeding: every 3 days (50% soil, 30% coco, 20 perlite) Per Gallon: 5ml CalMag, 4ml Sensi Bloom, 4ml Voodoo, 1m Orca, 3ml Bigbud, 3ml Budcandy, 3ml Hi-Brix (molasses), 2ml ProTekt, ]1/16 tsp RAW K and Humic Acid.

I'll be dropping the RAW, Voodoo, and Orca starting now, and the Cal/Mag will drop from 5ml to 3ml, after wk 3.

Pics and updates of the others coming tonight. I can't beleaf how time flies. ;)

UPDATE: Day 13 flower for these girls. Hard to say exactly when 12/12 was, as there were some light and timer issues. :Hookah: I'm still working out the N versus K thing that's going on, but it looks like this mix is fairly forgiving.

I've hit them and stole a whole bunch of leafs, hoping to promote the maturity of the lower budsites - after losing Bubba.

Below is ChemDcookies day 13 flower. She is a nice little column. Her smell isn't as prominent now, but it's an earthy skunk. She's about 34". Pretty tolerant, not a lot of stretch. Nice frost for this early.

Below is Buddha Tahoe, day 13 flower.
She stretched hard and just finished up at 40". Tall and lanky, I hope she's setting up to fill in. Not really any frost on her yet, but it's early.

Below is SSD day 13 flower.
She's about 36" from soil, and has a great structure, lots of side branches. She's a bit N sensitive, so I've been careful about feeding her. She's looking like she's going to produce though, nice buds and nodes.

Finally some flowers haha. ;) I'm not going to push them, they will get about 800ppm feed max.

Sorry it's been so long between updates, I've been working too much. I will get caught up on my subs too.

Peace and Pot!

Barry Bonds smashes it out the park again.

From your keyboard, to the ganjagod's ears...let's hope the med are proper. ;)

They are looking amazing even with the light issues! Those are going to be some beautiful colas!

Thanks brother Smiles. I took a bunch of leafs. I'm hoping you're right. :cheertwo:

Hi CareStaker!

Your garden looks so dang lovely. Chem-D-Cookies is my favorite by far. I just love that structure. Sending some positive vibes to you and your ladies!

Plants looking great broham. Very vibrant.
happy daze my dude.

You guys are way too kind. :thanks: It's nice to hear, loving the good vibes.

DrC, ChemDcookies is frosting up very nicely, she's looking like she's going to be a dark one that stays green till harvest. I can't wait to try the smoke on her. I know about what to expect from the others, but I have no idea what this cross will be like. I've not had any type of the Cookies, except in my mutant Candyland. This ChemDCook looks about 50% cookies, which I'm assuming what the father. SSD is no joke in there. I'd say she'll be my high yield, and she's the only one frostier than the ChemD. I'll do my best to give my impressions of each now that I know them a bit better. :Namaste:

The girls have some nice development. If I can keep the temps down, these buds should be pretty nice. Ambient at canopy reached 84-85F today, so I had to turn the HPS from 600w to 400w, and left the 350w Advanced XML on at 50% I run at night, so I'm pulling in outside air, which was at 50F and has now fallen further - so I'll probably be able to push it back up in another hour. I'll have to come up with a better solution, but this will work in the interim. With the loss of Bubba, I'm really only using slightly more than a 3x3 footprint in the tent. This will be hard to pull a pound from, but we will see what these ladies want to give. :cheertwo:

I'll try to updates soon with some pics.

I'm thinking about what to run in the fall - 707 Truthband, Carnival, SSSDH, LCOG, Super Sour OG, and/or maybe some Purple Dream for the December Nug contest. :)
