Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

It will be interesting to see if fem seeds can be broken or unbroken, but in regs it makes a difference.
Yes, and maybe identify better phenos. Maybe broken ones have a different rate of growth or other genetic traits that unbroken ones don't.

I just checked 12 random homemade seeds- 6 broken and 6 unbroken calderas.
It'll be awhile before I plant them outside, but when I do I'll make a note of which sex they should be.

Will do- should have my usb microscope figured out by then... :)
I know how to use it,but getting clear pics is going to take a little practice....

Broken caldera looks sort of like a volcano that has erupted and lava had flown from it.. its Round but has a gash in a specific direction. Perfect calderas are round without any break in the circle... let me see if I can find that picture Sue posted.

There it is. That’s a perfectly round, allegedly female, caldera

I’m having a hard time seeing this as “unbroken”. Is that just a black stripe on the hull that comes in from the top of the photo? The white ring around the “caldera” also doesn’t continue through that area. The two features make it look to me like there’s a gap there. I think I need a better example.

I think I need a better example.

I think the one on the right would be considered unbroken, and the left one broken...
Might be easier to see on fresher seeds-these are pretty old and dried out,but you can probably get a rough idea of what to look for...

Is that right seed circle unbroken?
It is- I tried to get a clearer pic at a little better angle but the microscope decided it was only going to take 1 pic that wasn't blurry...I need a better stand for it- that one that comes with it is pretty useless...

I'd say that one's unbroken....it should grow you a beautiful lady, if the theory is correct....

I don't know if this will help, but I shot some regular and feminized seeds.

Above Line Regular Brainstorm Haze, Below Candida (CD-1) Feminized Seeds

Hint: I drilled a small hole in a bottle cap to hold the seeds while I photographed them with a USB microscope.

Those are some strange looking calderas @Old Salt!
Shed, what i see is this;
Unbroken, broken, broken, unbroken, broken, unbroken, unbroken, broken. That’s top left to bottom right.
