Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Since I moved to the garage, smell hasn't been mentioned much...
I was tempted to ask, "You or the plants?"

Then I thought, c'mon GDB, there has to be some limit to the low-hanging fruit you'll grab.

Yesterday I was gathering some mulch for my big SIP from under our pepper tree,
And I found this:

Earthstar mushroom- never seen one before ...you don't eat them, and they don't get you high
they're just odd little shrooms...

Sure looks like you could pack it and use it as a bowl though..
It's dried out, so it's fragile like tissue paper now..that bulb on top is full of spores, so not pipe material...useless, but interesting... :)
Coolest shroom ever!
First one I've seen in 70 years...cool name too...

How bout a quick peek at the plants?
First up, the indoor Critical Kush, she was flipped about a month ago
she's got the box pretty well filled..and she did stop growing taller just in time...
Fewer buds than usual, so maybe they'll be a little bigger...
p1.JPG

And the 2 outside big girls- They've been out there since 4/20...
Left is Critical Kush#2, she's 59" tall-46 days old........right is Somango, 49" tall- 48 days old
p2.JPG

And they're both looking like this- maybe flowering, maybe not...time will tell, but I'm pretty sure these are going to re-veg...Funny- I was thinking I'd started other plants out there on 4/20, and they just flowered like they should....
So, I looked it up, and I was right, they flowered just fine....because they were autos...A minor detail that slipped my mind...:hmmmm:
p3.JPG

Last, and pretty much least, is the Forbidden Fruit...22 days old now, and just today, she finally grew a little...She's been in the big SIP for 9 days, and seems happy, just not growing much yet...
Maybe she knows that once she starts growing, I'm going to cut her head off..😄

p4.JPG

And that's it today!
Thanks for looking,
Have a great rest of the week!

Looking great!! Full box and big ass outdoor plants!!! Jars will be full come October!

Growing autos outside? Never thought I’d see it. They look awesome..damn!

Hey now you’ll have time to grow 2 auto crops outside, and I know you have 🫘

Jars will be full come October!
And I've got some big jars.. 😄

No, the autos were a few years ago- these are both photos that I think may be fixin to reveg...
Next time will be outdoor autos...❤️

We are distant relatives. I'm absolutely convinced of that now! :Rasta:

Gonna need a ladder pretty soon. :thumb:

Yeah, April is a bit too early to put plants outside. I usually don't move them outdoors until the end of May or beginning of June. Looks like, to me, that they are already starting to reveg.

Yeah, those damn little details will get you every time... especially when you forget about 'em.. 😁
Gonna need a ladder pretty soon.
I'll have to try and keep them at 8 feet or so, otherwise, the neighbors will see them...
.....maybe they won't get that tall..?..:rofl:

I think you're right, Beez-...it's been about a week, and they still have that "almost flowering" look...

I wonder- when they reveg, do they stretch again when flowering starts?

I kinda hope not...

@GratefulBud didn't have a lot of luck with his reveg outside:
They both went into flower in early June but went back into veg for another 2 months - resulting in short bushy plants that were all stems and leaves.
But his were clones so I have higher (but not 8ft higher) hopes for yours!

Maybe she knows that once she starts growing, I'm going to cut her head off.
Does she also know that if she doesn't grow you'll cut her head off sooner? ✂️

I don't think so. I've had and outdoor plant reveg once. It's was about 3 or 4 years ago. It didn't stretch a second time. To be honest, I've tracked the growth rates of many of my outdoor plants, and I've never witnessed the "stretch" phenomenon. Their growth rate doesn't seem to increase when they begin flowering. They seem to keep growing at a constant rate from veg through the first few weeks of flower.

All I can say is I guess I'm going to find out....but, that's how I learn- "the hard way" 😁

It should be interesting, if nothing else... 🤔

That little one in the SIP may squeak by without flowering(yet), she's 23 days old...
just like the other ones, we will see...👀

I've never witnessed the "stretch" phenomenon.
Thanks, Beez!
That's what seemed odd with these 2- the main 4 or 5 branches grew about a foot on both of them, that's when I noticed all the pistils...the "regular" branches didn't grow much at all...

I know it's usually a gradual thing outdoors, and this was sort of sudden in comparison...
It just doesn't seem quite right...it's close, but no cigar...😬🚬

Is it just me?

Coz all I see is Marvin Mushroom. He put the fun in fungi.

Yep. That looks familiar (unfortunately).

Agreed. I had better luck last year when I popped seeds on 4/20 and waited until second week of May to put them outdoors. Late May is probably a good bet.

I had a few seed plants do a similar thing - buds turned out very bushy. Starting to think outdoor is just gonna be bushier than plants grown indoors.

I tried and tried to train them to produce tighter buds but they had other ideas.

Thanks, Grateful- I kinda got in a hurry this year, next year I'll do it right!
(odd, because I generally don't "hurry" much.. :))

These are my first...and hopefully my last...

Somango looks like I'd expect her to look if she's re-vegging-

The Critical Kush, not so much...I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel on this one...only because she's got way more pistils today than she had yesterday..
