Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Hey Carcass.

I'm here to either clarify things or make the situation worse. Let's see what happens, shall we?

I was talking with J and figured out that I must have mis-posted that the Wookiee was half photo. J doesn't breed photos and autos. He only does auto x auto.
The parents were actually Barney's farm Wedding Cake auto x WSE GSC auto. She is full auto.

Apologies. Truly sorry if I confused anyone.

We think that she is just a really long bloomer. I wouldn't cut the hours on her.

That plant of yours is amazing!

I’m so pleased you are going to win Plant of the Month, coz it is plant of the month.
Sorry. Been gone for some family matters.

Thanks.
She did well in the end.
He is an absolute legend. I think I have 6 left. I gave too many away. You can’t sell seeds in my country, but they are seedhouse standards. He’s a definite seed magician. If I was Barney’s Farm I’d definitely hire him as part of my production team.
He is very talented. It's been fun chatting and seeing what he's coming up with next.

Always wondered what those emojis were for...
I'm just letting them go from here on, so watering is my only job now...🌝💧💦

Mates : WYD bro?
Me:🙂 💧💦

Mates: Defs watering.

Between the breeding and the growing, really gotta label autos.....because the gap is narrow these days on indoor girls.

Got those girls making moves now Carcass. The force is strong.

Thanks for that, VG!
Well, now I've got something to think about...she did actually look like she was getting ready to flower for about 3 weeks, then a few days after I lengthened her dark period, she started stretching...so she's actually flowering about like the outdoor plants do when the days start getting shorter- she's taking her sweet time about it...
So, I think I'll just split the difference, set the light to 14/10, and leave it that way- if she starts revegging, then @InTheShed can say "I told ya so" 😁 ...If she does reveg, the biggest problem would be that she will get too big for the box, and she'll have to move outdoors...and she'll take an extra month to finish....

He sure is! and he's got the seed-making thing pretty well figured out..❤️..

Thank You, Deeve- this is my favorite part- finding out if she's going to outgrow the box or not...🤔
(she's over 2 inches taller today than yesterday, with apx. 17 more "stretch" days ahead of her..)

I haven't had one do it yet, but there's always a first time..fortunately, during the summer, she can just take up residence outdoors if it does happen..

Plants are looking happy Carcass. Unfortunately, I am too confused to comment further. :)

Thank You, GDB!

Right? It's enough to give one a headache...
She seems happy enough @ 14/10, so I'm (finally) done messin' with the lights...😁

Absolutely lovey wookiees Carcass!
Thanks so much, HH!
I think I’ve got the same seed batch as you.
Cool!...The more Wookiees, the merrier!
It's a favorite in my house- I gave my youngest son the last of it a few weeks ago (I grew an F1 outside last year) so he's/we're anxiously waiting for these to finish....

Oddly, the 10 days younger one outside looks like it's going to finish about a month before the indoor one... 🤔

How's everyone doing on this hot, sweaty Monday?
Seems like a good time for a little Update on the 2 Wookiees...

First up, the indoor 67 day old one...she's been in her SIP for 40 days now, and she's finally getting serious about flowering- she's also stretched about 6 inches in the last week, so she's 18" tall now (up from 12" 7 days ago...)

w1-1.jpg

She's not stretching as evenly as I'd like her to, but nothing needs supercropping yet...I removed about 25 tiny branches this week- looks like I need to remove some leaves too..I'll thin her out a little as the week progresses...
w1-2.jpg

Seems like there's always one or three that want to get too tall...I'll wait till the stretch is done, but I may end up having to supercrop a few branches- there's still time for the shorter ones to catch up, but that's not what usually happens... 🤔
w1-3.jpg

She's finally fully flowering, so I turned the light up to 200 watts...her tallest cola is 21" from the light, most of the others are 22.5 inches, so there's only an inch and a half difference in height so far- I can live with that...
w1-5.jpg

She's got a fat stalk for such a small plant, SIP plants seem to do that..the branches are also fairly substantial...

w1-stalk.jpg

And now, on to the outside Wookiee auto- this one is 57 days old, in the SIP for 40 days...she actually grew half an inch this week, so now she's a whopping 8.5 inches tall!..😁
w2-1.jpg

I like how the buds are growing..I think she may produce quite a bit of weed, despite being so short..
w2-2.jpg

I haven't removed any leaves or branches from this one- even the short branches will reach the top on a plant this size, so I just left them alone...
w2-5.jpg

One of her frosty little buds.
So far, the bugs are ignoring her out there, so that's a good thing...
w2-6.jpg

Her stalk is fairly thick, but only about half as thick as the indoor one..

And that about does it for today's update!
Thanks for looking,
I appreciate your support..💚

Have a great rest of the week!

Ha! The plant in the box tried to lull you to sleep and catch you off guard. You showed her! :Rasta:

They are both looking absolutely beautiful
Thank You, T!
I think I found a winning combination with the SIPs and Grow Dots..they may look a bit rough by the end, but those Dots sure do a great job in veg and early flower..
I’m always so impressed by the shape of your plants Carcass.
Ha! Thanks so much, HH! that outdoor one came out about ten inches shorter than I wanted her to...she's the second auto I've grown that didn't stretch at all..
but she is loaded with quite a few horizontal-ish buds.. 🌝

They sure do!
Mine looked pretty all thru veg.
Although I don't think I'll use dots outdoors again. My flower schedule was not what I thought and I've been dancing around trying to get them properly fed.

I would highly recommend the SIP / Grow Dots combo indoors.

Excellent work (as usual) shaping that one. It's filled up your grow space nicely! :thumb:

I've noticed the same thing with my SIP plant. The trunk is super fat.

It may be short, but look at all those bud sites! :high-five:

Early flowering (like autos) seem to do just fine in the Dots..but late flowering means you're running out of gas just when you need it most..They now have "extended release" Dots, which might be better for photos, indoors or out..
It's filled up your grow space nicely! :thumb:
THanks, Beez! I stopped her training a little early, so she's 2" narrower than she could be- but she'll do alright...
I've noticed the same thing with my SIP plant. The trunk is super fat.
And the branches are the same way- Very little (if any) support needed to hold up the fat colas..
It may be short, but look at all those bud sites! :high-five:
I was hoping for a "nothin' but buds" plant when she didn't stretch, looks like I may have gotten one..
She hasn't been defoliated at all, so there will be a lot of popcorn buds too...a pain in the ass at harvest time, but they all smoke just fine.. :lot-o-toke:

And the branches are the same way- Very little (if any) support needed to hold up the fat colas..
This, to me, is the most appealing aspect of a SIP grow! :Rasta:

A SIP is like the lazy mans way to grow- watering is quick and easy, and you don't need to stake anything up when the time comes..it wouldn't even move the needle on ones lazy meter... :high-five:

I imagine you might have to add some support if the buds get crazy big, but I don't know for sure yet...
Hopefully, I find out in 6 weeks or so..🤪
