And here we are again!
Time for a little Monday
Update on the goings-on around here...
The 32 day old ATF was put into the sip 10 days ago...didn't do much except droop for the first 6 days, but on Thursday she woke up and started doing some real growing...
Here she is last Monday:
And this morning...her training started on Saturday
She's pretty healthy- I think the Grow Dots kicked in about the same time she decided she likes it in the sip...
I must've topped her just a bit high above node 4, so there's an extra branch (maybe 2) growing where the stump should be...All of my fims have been accidental, and this one is no exception...
So now she's got 7 main branches to train, instead of the usual 6......
She got a half-gallon (rainwater) added to the res this morning. I mixed in about a quarter tsp. of aloe vera powder, but other than that, just water. She seems pretty happy with that..
And, I replaced the cork float with a little glass Christmas ornament- it floats better than the cork I started with, which would show "empty" when the res was still half full..
I just hot-glued it to the skewer..
And now a little about the Amnesia Haze auto (left, also from the Va. seed fairy
)
She needed water ,so she was a little droopy at pic time...she actually drinks about 1/4 cup per day now.
The Grow Dots in the solo cup are keeping her real happy so far..
Pretty tight node spacing on the AHa- 4 nodes per inch right now...she's 3" tall / 15 days old...she'll get topped above node 4 as soon as node 5 gets big enough to cut off...
She's also been watered almost exclusively through 2 wicks (kite string)..so, when she gets uppotted, she'll probably go into a pot with an air chamber (like @ Stunger's beautiful plants) to continue with the bottom watering thing, and hopefully get some good growth out of her...or not- she's an auto, so who the hell knows...
And, unfortunately, any growing she does will happen outside- there won't be room in the box..
Question: are those fat, fuzzy roots the "water roots"? they're actually skinny roots, but all the tiny root hairs make them look fat....
Whatever kind they are, there's a lot of them- I'll have to cut the bottom off the cup to get her out without ripping the roots off.
And that's where I'm at today!
Thanks for looking, I really appreciate your support...
I hope everyone has a nice week, and I'll see you next time...
