Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Yes, American dollars-"the dollar store" sells a lot of stuff for 2 dollars (?)

They named the stores back when a dollar was actually worth something....
A store called "5 Below" just opened here-everything is $5-even some of the stuff that
you can get at the dollar store... for a dollar (or two)...

Girls looks..Sooooo goood!.
Can't figure out why Mega Crop isn't a sponsor here yet? I've seen them sponsor some of the other sites. They would do well here, our members that use it REALLY like it.

Hope you are well today!:blunt:

Thanks for the compliment,VG !

I actually Suggested it to Christian at Greenleaf Nutrients on April 5,and
he asked for the 420 contact info...(which I sent him) so you never know, there may be a deal in
the works-I gave the admins a heads up about it also, but haven't heard
any more about it since,so there also may not be a deal in the works....I did try,though...

I am well today...I hope everything's good in your world also!

Happy Monday,everyone!
Well, here we are again, not a lot to report, except that my plants are a lot bushier than they were
a week ago,and a little taller...
Believe it or not,I did a fairly agressive defoliation yesterday morning, this is what
they look like today: (NL left,PC right)
1801982

They've actually grown an inch since yesterday morning

1801983

Northern Lights (left) is 5" tall,Peyote Critical is 6"tall:

Here's a couple of pics of the "foundation" that the quadline gives you- NL:

And PC:

So tomorrow evening I'm going to set the timer for 12/12-they'll be 35 days old,a little early, but then again, the Lowryder was 20 days old when she started flowering, and she did alright....

I've got to add some light proofing to the box today-I've got a cover for the exhaust fan,but I need to make one for the intake fan-my last ill fated attempt at flowering,I didn't have a bottom intake fan installed...

So that brings us to the big guy outside-Last week,we had 40mph winds, blowing from the south
(they usually come from the northwest) ,and it literally beat the crap out of him all day-so he did this:

1802002

Looks like he needs water, but it rained the day before,so that wasn't it...It's like he lowered his internal pressure to make things more flexible so he didn't break in the wind...I don't actually know why he did it,that's just my guess.
The next morning he was fine,as if nothing happened -didn't slow his growth at all,he's 6 inches taller than he was last Monday (56" now) Pic is from today:

1802014

Well, that's it for today-the indoor girls should be almost a week into 12/12 by the next update...
It's going to be interesting to see how much they stretch when they start at about 6" tall.

Thanks for looking,I appreciate it!
And We'll see you here next Monday!:peace:

the best advertising they can get, and it's free!
That's a very good point...like the old adage "why buy the cow, when you get the milk for free"

that outside one is a beast
He's not had any nutes or attention, and just keeps on a growin'...I may know the secret of his exceptional health..that rock to the left of him in the pic with the writing on it, is the headstone for all the pets we've had for the last 30 years-there's 4 rats,2 hamsters,a lizard,3 cats, and 1 dog buried under that stone (you can sort of see their names engraved in it) so his roots have probably reached "The good stuff" down there...
Kinda creepy,except to him...

Then into the little pill bottles-which I'll fill about halfway with almost hot water, then put the cap on and shake the crap out of it for a minute or so to dissolve the granules of MegaCrop-this is important, because if you just dump it into the gallon of fairly cool water-you need to shake it for about 5 minutes to get it to dissolve-good exercise, but more work than I want to do-hence,the small bottles and warm water....
How are you liking the Mega Crop so far? I just got my sample today, and was planning in a side-by-side comparison with the Fox Farm Trio on my next grow. I've been using the FFT at half their suggested strength, as I've read that's the best way here on the forum. I should use the MC at full (suggested) strength, yes?

I think it's great, sooo easy to use- that's all the lowryder ever got in the way of nutes, and she did ok...
This grow,I'm also going to use Sweet Candy, and Bud Explosion (from the mega crop folks) to supplement
a little during flowering....I would have used them earlier, but I didn't know about them until I explored the Greenleaf Nutrients website a little further...
They're also very affordable-as is everything from Greenleaf ,so we'll see what they do as this grow progresses

We should know by then if they work or not...Mega Crop does, and
they're designed to use with it,so I'm sure they'll help things along.
A 250g bag of each should last quite awhile-it only takes 1-1.5 grams of each per gallon
At $8.00 per bag, the price is so nice...

My MC bag recommends 4-6 grams per gallon for veg through flower. Homer Simpson is running over 7g in flower now.

Also, I remember reading that you don't need any supplements in flower with the new formula, but they kept them in production because growers were asking for it, because growers are so used to adding more nutes in flower. I ran MC only on my two Candidas and they did really well.

Thanks for that,Shed...Well, since I've got them I'll probably use them,at least for this grow...
BUT if Mega Crop alone will do the trick,I may not...I'll think on it for awhile, and probably end up skipping that extra step...easy is good..
I have been giving these plants a little extra MC,and it sure hasn't hurt them.
I might add the extras to the mix later on...It may not do much for the plants ,but I'll feel like I'm helping them out a little....

Not creepy, it's the ending of Where the red fern grows. It's depressingly sad, yet hopeful.
