Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

You can call it a dud if it starts flowering later this week.
I'll call it that.... and probably a few other things, too... ;)
Man I need to quit sending you duds lol.
No worries- it's just the luck of the draw, and they can't all be "gems"...

What’s next if this one doesn’t get with the program?
Ultra Lemon Haze is up next- I've got a ton of indica, so I need a little sativa to round things out- plus, when you've only got indicas, everyone seems to want sativa...
I’m thinking about starting some autos ,
Hi, Dean!
I think you'll enjoy growing a few autos- they're pretty easy to grow, and the potency is right up there with the photos.

I’m diggin the ULH grow so far. She is a short squat gal but the topping and training was helpful. I got my ULH from Auto seeds as a freebie. Not sure if you remember but I tried growing her around the end of the summer and she went batshit crazy when she went into flower and exploded with growth, had trichs all over the leaves, stems, stalk, etc. at a few weeks and then the branches fell off. LOL! She smelled amazing though, so I used my other freebie and now so far so good. She is stacking nicely, but her leaves look a little more Indica to me than Sativa. Maybe thats because my other two plants are sporting very sativa like leaves. I hope your Super Silver Haze perks up (it is on my list!).

I don’t think you are early on the MC. Below is the guidance I followed this time - @MrSauga was kind enough to guide me. It worked fantastically. I mixed up small batches and used a ketchup type bottle to water very sparingly without wetting the stem. I will continue that method from now on! :high-five:
Once the second set of true leaves start, come in at 1g/gal of megacrop. The third set you should be at 2g and hold there until the start of the fourth set. At that point I'm looking at the plant to see how fast she is growing and may go to 2.5g or 3g.

Hi, Boo!
I'm diggin the ULH grow so far.
That's good to hear- I'll probably get one started in the next few days- I've only got 1 ULH seed, so
I'll do my best to not kill it.... :)
I don’t think you are early on the MC.
It probably just seems early to me, because they're usually a bit bigger when I start the MC...this one seems to be running about 4 days behind, which will still work, as long as it doesn't start flowering ridiculously early...
I'll bump it up to 2g/gal on the next watering- she actually looks a bit perkier since her first feeding 8 hours ago...

you’re doing amazing sweetie!
Thanks, Trala!
I'll be doing better when/if that plant starts doing it's part!
I can tell that it's grown a bit today, so things may be looking up...

Time for a little update on the Super Silver Haze auto...

It's not growing much, in fact it's pretty damn slow, but it did grow a little...
Up-potted her on Thursday to a 3 gallon (day 11), then she got topped on Sunday (day 14)
She was still under the 2 little led bulbs till yesterday, when I finally turned on the big light...

Her branches are finally starting to grow a little- Not sure what's up with the purple leaf petioles, but I'm not going to worry about it...she got fed 2g/gal. of MegaCrop/4ml Silica Blast on transplant day, and seems to like it so far...
I couldn't leave much of a nub/stump when I topped her, so I'll have to be real
careful breaking off training those top branches ...;)

I still don't have that warm, fuzzy feeling about this one....although, she's finally starting to look like a
plant, instead of a seedling- if she holds off on flowering for another ten days or so, she may still turn out alright...

The third set of leaves came in (almost) normal- not quite as funky as the first 2 sets...
the fourth set looked pretty good, too, until I chopped them off...

So that's about it for this one-
She's still running about 4 days behind where she should be, hopefully she catches up this week-

Thanks for looking!
I appreciate the support :peace:

And please be careful out there...covid's not done with us yet....

The petioles on my GTG bagseed were all bright pink/purple. I’m hoping it’s just a genetic thing, it seems to be doing great so far.
I think in 2-3 days that SSH is going to look like a whole different plant under the bigger light. If not, we can try those seeds again another time.

I'm not sure why it's growing so slowly- it sprouted real fast, then did almost nothing for ten days- now it's growing, but slower than what I'm used to...
I thought I might have a runt on my hands- on Sunday, it finally convinced me otherwise-
It was only under the led bulbs a couple days longer than usual.

I think in 2-3 days that SSH is going to look like a whole different plant under the bigger light.
You're probably right...Hope so, because it's probably within 5 or 6 days of flowering...

Highya Carcass.

You never know with those crazy auros. My DDAs were slow. Looked much worse than that one.
Maybe she will be a long vegger?

Hi, VG- Thanks for stopping by!
Maybe she will be a long vegger?
That's what I'm hoping for- She's slow with everything else, maybe flowering will also be 4 or 5 days late...
I dunno- maybe I'm just in a hurry, and she's not...

Yes, I've been curious about what to expect from my first auto, which is now 20 days old. Node 4 is on the way, but I have no idea whether that's fast/slow/good/bad. I guess the in/stability of autoflower genetics as a whole doesn't help!
Getting better all the time, luckily, but for now there is definitely some unpredictability in auto genetics. The next few years will be great as they are fine tuned, and some people here figure out and make better versions of them.

Hi,Sy- thanks for stopping in!
Yes, I've been curious about what to expect from my first auto, which is now 20 days old.
Ideally, you'll have a fourth node at 12 or 13 days, but 20 days will work too, as long as she holds off on flowering for awhile...but that's the one thing that we can't control...
for now there is definitely some unpredictability in auto genetics.
They're better than they used to be, potency-wise- but the unpredictable flowering times are still a weak point...if the breeders could dependably set the flower clock to 35 days or so I think autos would be a lot more popular...

Well, Hello,HH !
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm babysittin' today, but Nova's taking one of her 15 minute naps as we speak...so I've got about 5 more minutes....

Hopefully that lil auto gets a movin for ya.
It probably will...I'm in it for the duration now, so it is what it is....

Really good to see you, HH! Hope things are going great in the HH household!
