CaptainLucky's First Indoor Golden Tiger Grow 2023

I think your going to find that GT will be up there with them.

For me original haze is probably my favourite all time weed. The one I grew last year was harvested early (mid December!)as bad weather was coming and both Mrs DM and myself were ill with a nasty flu. It's not the strongest, but the best high. I'm actually smoking some at this minute, mixed half and half with GT 🙂

We used to get Thai sticks in the UK in the 70's that were the real deal. I think they were £4 each. You could get an oz of good Moroccan hash for only 12, so they were expensive.

As an interesting aside. My wife was telling me how one of the beggars in town was bemoaning the fact that there's is no good weed around these days; everything is just so bland.

I have her 2 grams of GT cob and told her to drop it in his bowl next time she saw him.
Yesterday she saw him again and he told her that that was the best weed he'd ever smoked in 25 yrs of smoking.

You'll like GT 🙂
Cool 😎 CL🍀

Hey I was wondering if you ever heard of any weed from Vietnam? I remember some Vets telling me that they were smoking some over there and it was almost black. I never seen it before or heard of anyone growing it. CL🍀

Sadly it didn't reach the uk, well of it did we never saw it. I believe that proceeds has a black Vietnamese crossed to Neville haze that is very good. There are several people over on my over place that are growing Vietnamese. 🙂

Yeah it never got here either but I remember them telling me about it. CL🍀

:welcome:Morning Update: Yesterday I had some family responsibilities that I had to attend to and my Golden Tiger +Chocolate Thai didn’t get fed before lights out. But I’m happy because I learned from my friend @Hombre del Monte that my GT would yield me a better harvest if I cut back the nutes. And I’m happy to report that I have this morning but my CT got her regular diet. The smell from the tent + closet gets stronger daily but I love 💕 it. All of my lovely ladies are looking 👀 awesome I’m happy to see. Here’s some pictures from today. CL🍀 :morenutes::cheesygrinsmiley: :circle-of-love::420:
Edit: Because of the family issues my Panama’s canopy didn’t get opened up as well.

I don't usually do indicas or hybrids because of the smell
That's interesting, I am always 'concerned' of the smell of my plants being picked up by others. I hadn't realised that indices and hybrids are more likely to get loud in that way.

I like your use of silk flowers to assist with safer appearances. If I plant on the ground this coming year then I'll do that too.
Towards the end of flower was when I realised it was red. Initially I thought it was the green. The green pheno is supposedly less cloudy in effect and more energy.
Personally I wanted the red, if only because as a youth in the 70's I would read about it in the furry freak brothers comics and also the song "Panama red" by New riders of the purple sage.
Yeah that’s why I’m growing it because back in the day I smoked some and it was really nice. One of the best highs I ever had. Number one was Thai stick, number two was some real Hawaiian a friend brought back who was in the Navy and then the Panama. But all of them were awesome.
There were some real legendary strains going back a few decades, I always wonder how same, similar or different the same 'named' strains are today. The most outstanding smoke I had was Columbian Gold that was amazing at the time, great smoke, and the first and only time the herb came golden and pressed, but really outstanding, I wondered in recent years whether there was any 'cob' like ferment to it with being pressed.

I have read similar on Vietnam Black, groups getting wasted on a single pin joint. I notice Ace has Orient Express which has Vietnam Black as a parent, but exactly what Vietnam Black is that, is it related or just the same name as the bud pics look normal green.

@Hombre del Monte was telling me about members who were growing some Vietnamese on another site but I didn’t get a chance to look yet. But apparently the owner of Ace is on it and I learned a lot of things about these strains. CL🍀

You been doing any stem rubs on the plants? :passitleft:bet they're smelling great
The Chocolate Thai n Panama are really fragrant and getting stickier with each day. My Golden Tiger still has a long way to go before she’s flowering hard. CL🍀

Trimming Update: So I got a chance to do a little trimming today on my Panama. I removed a few leaves to open up the canopy for better airflow and light penetration. She’s getting very sticky now and very fragrant. Here’s a pic or two. CL🍀:morenutes::cheesygrinsmiley: Edit: I also removed a few little branches that wouldn’t have amounted to anything.

You need all the leaves you have and any leaves you take the plant is liable to replace. That means it's spending energy growing new leaves rather than flowering. That is one of the least dense plants around...you can see through it just fine. 👀
I don’t know if I can or not I haven’t taken it out the tent in awhile but I believe you. I just like to know the reasoning for something. CL🍀 :thanks:
