Canuk Seeds: GDB Just Canuking Around

No need for that, GDB- I think those seeds must have been damaged in transit..
All the skill in the world isn't going to get a dead seed to sprout..👍
Maybe it was the luck of the draw.

After all, Justin got his Cement Shoes to germ as if he wasn't even related to you! :laugh:
 
I am a little late but I'm in. Bad seeds happen. As con said Canuk seeds have sent others more seeds.
Yeah Keith, bad seeds do happen. I used to be one! :)
 
GDB don't be embarrassed. You've done what was asked. I have had four Canuk seeds out of 5 in shot glass / paper towel for 8 and 4 days respectively, and our temps are in the twenties. I have sprouted others at the same time, so I know it's not me. I have left the seeds in paper towel after giving them another soak in 2 % H202 🤞

I've heard of one other (in addition to you) with the same issue.
 
The one that had the small tap root, well, that small tap root was laying next to the seed.
Bugger.

As my old nan used to say “it’s all fun and games till your tap root falls off”

Nothing happened with the seeds I put back into water.

I'm done.

Just wanted to let everybody know that I didn't quit.

I contacted @Canuk Seeds per their instructions, let them know of my experience and asked for replacement seeds. That was on Nov 7th.

To date, they have responded with crickets. 🦗

No biggie. I can still enjoy all the other Canuk grows! :)
 
That's too bad, GDB. With all these failed seeds, I'm wondering if Canuk Seeds did this big giveaway to determine which seeds were viable before selling them to the public?

Probably not but as others have said, you're not alone with germination issues.

I wondered the same, but it seems so counterproductive. It does the opposite of instilling confidence in the brand. Who wants to spend their money with a company that has an iffy track record.

After I calmed down a bit I had a change of heart and contacted Canuk regarding my experience with their seeds.

They were gracious enough to agree to send replacements.

Rather than ask for the same seeds, I switched up just a little. I only requested 2 strains this time. Cement Shoes and LA Confidential.

I got an email this morning confirming the order has been submitted.

So it looks like at some point I'll be back to Canuking around! :Rasta:
